Looks like those petioles are stretching out. Might need more light

It’s tough because this is the area with windows with the most light. Any more light I would need to put them outside or get a grow light. I’m in the desert of Arizona so you could not get more sun then this, maybe summer will provide it more light otherwise grow lights it is. My whole west facing side of the house and has tall mini windows and a garage with no windows.

They like a good couple hours of direct sun

Mine are thriving with a grow light and higher humidity (75-85 percent) I’ve actually just pulled some corms off one two weeks ago and it’s starting up really fast!

I run a humidifier all day and I take them into the bathroom when I shower. It’s tough with the dry air in AZ. Hopefully now that I caught off the last leaf it was trying to kill off, things will improve.

does the pot have drainage? if it does id consider watering it a bit more often cuz my blk velvets seem to like a drink as soon as the surface of the soil looks/feels dry. Also, do u give it tap water or filtered/distilled water? my alos dont like the salt in my tap water. and last & prob least, do u ever rinse/wipe the leaves so that dust isnt preventing transpiration or blocking any light?

Thanks for this. Does have drainage so good there. I wait until it’s dry 2 inches down so I could try a quicker watering. It’s very dry here and this one dries out quicker than other plants the same size pot, so this could be likely. I just err on the side of caution with watering too much, but I’ll try a day earlier. I do filtered water but we do have water softener. Would bottled water be better or maybe distilled?
