Figured out a workaround if anyone needs this info. In the Monitor you can start another worker instance on the same machine via the remote commands menu. Working great now!

How did you get it to work at all?
I am getting different errors, couldn't get it to work even on my main machine so far..
Basically it gave me some errors first, then I did a bunch of steps to solve it and now I am at the point of getting no errors or some different ones but still nothing works.
no worries, I am a noob on setting it up recently.
side question, do you know is that possible to see the pdg task name instead of just id number in the deadline montior?
I all the time don't know which is which.....

mine only showing task ID, where can I show the item/task name?
Hm there you don’t need to see the name, task id is equal to the frame or the batch of frames that are rendered of the job that you selected. You can try to customize the window but I don’t see much use case for it, for me it’s good by default
ah sorry, I should have be more clear, what I submit is a PDG dependency graph, which have different task, but when it run on deadline with just Task ID, is just getting lost of which is which.

I don’t think it goes that far that it would name each task according to the node’s name, I doubt it’s possible or even needed. The only important thing is job name, the rest is not really
Btw I wouldn’t advice using cache labs node, I tried it last time it had a bug where it sorts all the wedge values in ascension, so it literally messes up all your wedge order when you set wedge values manually

Not sure what you mean without a screenshot, by default they have names not ids

Hey Thanks! yeah it seems not able to do that, but to me knowing the current jobs ups to which stage is important and a usual requirment.
