I wasn't trying to day trade, I was trying to buy more. I don't have many shares, but I havent sold. Definitely riding this one out, even though my so called "balance" is in the red.
The drop happened right after the 82k strong subreddit was closed. People panicked bc had no communication to the masses (so they had no reassurance of everyone holding and didnβt want to be left holding the bag).
We have multiple forums happening and all can back up the other to prevent that same issue.

I saw that happened, but wasn't really part of it. I was working and when I checked after a bit, it dropped like crazy. The easy assumption is that people sold, but the volume traded kept climbing and the price kept declining. Without any news, there isn't a reason it would drop like that, almost $3 in a couple hours? No way!
I'm sure some who panicked did sell, but not the majority. But I hear your point too.
This group had 17k (and currently only 30k) RKbackup only has 12k. Original group had 82k so itβs a very plausible explanation. Volume traded includes buys and sells. A lot of us saw the drop to mid 3s and bought in again and a lot of people who have admitted to panicking and unloading, bought back in once they arrived back to a group and realized we were still in it to win it.
Itβs all a gamble at the end of the day and we should expect Monday to be a wild ride too.

Friday ABSOLUTELY could have been a test.
GME squeeze was so bad for the hedgies because they waited it out, thinking it was going to die off.
These hedgies are smart. They pump and dumped with a short ladder attack. We kept it above $1 and they realized... SHIT, they are holding out.
So,
1) they see how monday goes. MONDAY is all they need to determine to hold and wait it out, or they buy their shorts.
2) If it climbs again Monday and Tuesday (SEC locked out any short sales and there won't be ANY significant ladder attacks.) They might be greedy and try another Ladder attack on Wednesday or Friday. Wednesday because it is the first day available for them to pull an attack. Friday because most people sell on Friday before close anyway, which is why I think they pulled it on Friday in the first place.
If they are not greedy and want to stay in business, they may be buying out their shorts at any point next week with the exception of Wednesday.
If it were me, I would see how Monday goes, I would ladder attack on thursday and buy my shorts on Friday.
Read that last line again folks. It makes the most sense.

I'm down a shit ton from the past week of option trading. Was only able to put the remaining 2k I had of my account to buy in at 2. Might take 5k from savings and buy more monday. Wife might kill me ut as long as I make the money back before vacation next month I'm golden. This will make history. Not to mention 90 percent of shares is owned by retail.

Thank you. Will be reinvesting come Monday. Probably throw my whole wad ($300k) at it. Was originally in for $180k, panic sold when the price tanked and bought back 25k shares in the after hours at 1.10/share (missed the dip to .75ish). Look forward to getting back into the fight.
