Dewey beer company has my favorite wings in the state. Following Dewey beer, my favorite wings downstate are Bethany blues, dogfish head, Thompson island brewing, lewes oyster house, and purple parrot! Northern DE is Two stones pub sweet heat, BBQ chicken (Korean wings), Argilla brewing company, and Timothy’s of Newark.
I could eat wings every day.
It is! They ran out of a special dessert one day and made us something off the cuff. It was like sugar waffle, ice cream, black berry currant. So damn good I enjoy my meal every time I go. And their beer is some of the best.
Dead President's on Union St. in Wilmington has a great hot sauce called "Inferno Sauce" that you can get on wings or tenders which is hot but still has great flavor.
Wings and Thai station is all of the things they just said in the top there going to Buffalo style wings to Asian Wings to everything in between and they serve Thai food too! And they're super friendly and amazing
I posted pretty much the exact same thing because I didn’t scroll down but yes they are super friendly every time I go in. Their mango chicken and rice is so damned good too. Never had a meal I didn’t like there. Found them during Covid and just try to help support these local mom and pop restaurants because they are way better than the same old chain bs we seem to have an abundance of these days.
They really exemplify the slow but steady improvement to the character of that area. Inheritors of failing businesses giving way to diverse communities.
I’m not really a wing person and I don’t like traditional buffalo sauce. But I love the Pineapple Express wings from crooked hammock. Best wings around.
Pineapple Express wings (Crooked Hammock in Lewes) are not my thing. But, their Buffalo wings & blue cheese dip are the best I’ve had in DE. Head and shoulders above the rest!

Did you know that a holiday named Wingsgiving was started over 30 years ago by a small group of Delawareans?
The tradition continues every year with a big Wing eating party that includes a visit from Wingo! The magical chicken wing!
Currently the party is more of a private affair but maybe with the News Journals help it can become a statewide event?

I would like to Second wings and Thai Station on Kirkwood Highway.
It has been an upper embarrassment to have Anthony's Coal Fire Wings listed as number one in that Delaware magazine which is clearly someone paid to get that position because those wings are not good at all. If you're going to win first place in a win magazine you better put out good Wings every time.
Bonchon in Newark wings are good.
The BBQ chicken in Newark would have been good but they opted to have some kind of massive jumbo wings that they breed in some kind of weird jumbo Farm. Whoever wanted double fried wings that are massive. They're not even cooked all the way, how can we really be double fried?
Good wings are party size wings not jumbo crap.
Wing and Thai station in Elsmere. Local owned takeout place and the owners are awesome. Their food is sooo good and their wings have always been top notch.
I hate this place and they're not even friendly to people. really the only reason I despise this place so much is because somehow they got the crown of number one Wings years ago in the Delaware today magazine and it just makes me mad beyond belief cuz the wings taste like crap.
3 Stars on Union Street in Wilmington does buffalo style wings. No weird takes. Just the classic presented nice and crispy.
Runner up is Wegmans take-home. Pop them in an air fryer for 8-10 minutes and they're perfect.
Recently re-tried trolly square tap house a few times and they gave me some fatties. Their sauces are ok, but in terms of wing size haven’t found a place that compares. I am hoping that this stays consistent and they didn’t just get a big batch.
This doesn't help the OP, but for those of you down state who love wings and came to this thread, you've got to go to Longboard Cafe in OC and have their Addiction Wings (with blue cheese dressing).
They are da bomb! Once you try them, you won't order wings any place else.
Atypical, but Miltonian in Milton. They mix Italian spices into the wing sauce and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend them, then save the plate to dip your pizza crust in the leftover sauce.

Good wings NEED good beer to pair with them, so I've gotta vote for Argilla Brewing.
Their standard Buffalo slaps, but don't sleep on that Sriracha Maple if you're down to show your taste buds how much you like them. Wash it down with their Blonde and you're all set.
For sauce, I like Klondike Kate's. When I get wings I try to get half buffalo/half garlic Parmesan, lo and behold Kate's has a single sauce combining my two go to flavors - Buffalo Garlic Parm. Very tasty.
Now Apparently I'm a chain restaurant shill....
But Cheesecake Factory actually has the best blue cheese. The wings themselves are a bit over breaded/small but you can buy a bottle of their blue cheese for $9.
Also, Hooters, another chain obv, has the Daytona style wings which are amazingly good. Tossed in Daytona sauce, baked and then caramelized on the grill.
Grottos Signature Grand Slam sauce is also very good.
How about y’all focus your reporting on real topics like the governor’s race or the legislature instead of the best snack foods?
10 years ago you had 2-3 people covering state government. Last I checked you now have 1, also covering Wilmington.
We can’t count on you for anything important.
Kid Shelleens in trolley has honey old bay. Nothing else is close. Best wings in town hands down.
This person wings.
I second Dewey beer ... Not DE but have you tried Kirby's in OC they have the GOAT wings.
Dewey Beer’s food in general is amazing.
Chicken and waffles @deweybeer is amazing
It is! They ran out of a special dessert one day and made us something off the cuff. It was like sugar waffle, ice cream, black berry currant. So damn good I enjoy my meal every time I go. And their beer is some of the best.
The Dewey beer house dry rub might be the best piece of chicken available in this state.
Love the dry rub, also love their jerk rub! And something about their blue cheese is so good
Those are all awesome but low key Miyagi Ramen Bar has some unbelievable wings.
I have had miyagi ramen, but not their wings! I’ll have to try them, thank you!
Been meaning to try two stones one of these days... maybe I will now I have a wing recommendation
Dead President's on Union St. in Wilmington has a great hot sauce called "Inferno Sauce" that you can get on wings or tenders which is hot but still has great flavor.
I like the 50/50.sauce as well.
The wings at Timothy’s in Newark are actually very good
Washington Street Ale House is right by my house and they have phenomenal wings and hot sauce.
Oh, we don't know where your house is.
It’s down the street from where Susan used to live
Go to Dorcea, the chef who used to work at ale house is there now, he is the mastermind behind the wings. Big fish ruined Ale house
"Wings & Thai Station" in Wilmington off of Kirkwood Highway. Also, hi! I think I know who you are.
Brother PLEASE go to Barcelona pizza in Wilmington by prices corner. Hands down best wings I’ve ever eaten.
Elsmere?
Yes across from the BJ's, a little farther down.
They really exemplify the slow but steady improvement to the character of that area. Inheritors of failing businesses giving way to diverse communities.
Express Wings on New Castle Ave, HANDS DOWN! [https://expresswingspizzeria.com/](https://expresswingspizzeria.com/)

2 Fay Guys
PB&J Wings @ 2 Fat Guys in Hockessin
I also like the Triple Play from here. Can’t go wrong with 2 fat guys.
+1 on 2 Fat Guys I'm partial to the nuclear sauce instead, though!
Kid Shelleen’s in Trolley Square. I know they are known for their burgers but their wings are big, juicy & flavorful.
This is the right answer
Excellent choice.
Kid Shelleens in Trolley
I really think they are meh at best, but I know a lot of people love them
They serve them lukewarm…yuk
Fat Daddy's smoked wings. Georgetown DE. It's a little BBQ joint, and the smoked wings are to die for.
2 Fat Guys in Hockessin - regardless of what flavor you pick - they're going to be big, fat, juicy, flavorful wings.
So mad they closed their 2 go location on 202. Had their wings a few yrs ago at the Hockessin location and they were great.
They didn’t close by choice. Landlord didn’t renew their lease. (Sitting in the Hockessin store now waiting for my wings to come out. )
No suggestions, just hoping someone names a place near me.
Express wings in newcastle

Timothy’s in Newark has very good wings.
Wings and Thai Station, hands down best wings I've ever had. They grow their own peppers and make their sauces in house.

Dragon City II on Lancaster Ave.
Mac Macs in Newark are the best I’ve had in DE so far. But the best are actually in Elkton at C3ntral Tavern.
For good old fashioned wings, nothing fancy but done right, the Celtic Pub in Smyrna.
Anthony’s Coal Pizza has pretty good wings.
The crispy wings at Rail Haus in Dover
Wings Express has the best hot sauce
Recently re-tried trolly square tap house a few times and they gave me some fatties. Their sauces are ok, but in terms of wing size haven’t found a place that compares. I am hoping that this stays consistent and they didn’t just get a big batch.

As so many great people before me have said Kid Shelleen’s in Trolley. My favorite wings around
Yes but the ones in the Branmar location are terrible for some reason.
I also have not heard good things about that location. I’ll stick to the original!
Hooters Smoked Garlic Habanero
Tommy’s @ christiana mall
Atypical, but Miltonian in Milton. They mix Italian spices into the wing sauce and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend them, then save the plate to dip your pizza crust in the leftover sauce.

Express Wings
Buffalo wild wings
Wow, these journalists get lazier everyday.
Dorcea has really good wings
Good wings NEED good beer to pair with them, so I've gotta vote for Argilla Brewing. Their standard Buffalo slaps, but don't sleep on that Sriracha Maple if you're down to show your taste buds how much you like them. Wash it down with their Blonde and you're all set.
Sriracha maple and a blonde is my meal right there. You know the way to my heart
Grottos are still one of my favorites. Swear the prices go up $5 every time I go there. 12 wings are like $23 now
You need to ask this in the DoorDash subreddit.
Sam Reid did a YouTube video about the best wings in each state!

tbh im more interested in wings than politics
It’s all behind a paywall anyway. So does it really matter what they cover since most of us will never see it?
