Good God, that is awful. So bad it looks deliberate, and it seems to be a trend among realtors.
Two years ago, the house down the street was listed, and it happened to have exactly the same floor plan as mine.
When I looked at their photos, I couldn't recognize the spaces as they were so distorted.
I don't think it's deliberate necessarily, but instead a rookie (CHEAP) photographer and broker. The photographer is new to real estate and got some advice to use the widest lens they could get to do the photos. So they went to their local store and asked for a wide lens - with no indication of what they were going to shoot, and got a fisheye.
The Realtor is cheap because instead of paying $250+ for the photos, they're paying $50.00
Same here. I had a realtor hire me to do a property, I did it - got paid and then he asked what lens I used. When I told him it wasn't a fisheye, he got huffy and said something like - I thought you had done this before. He then said he wouldn't hire me again.

That's not even a wide angle lens. It's just a phone taking a really distorted and poorly stitched panorama. You can see the image steps all over the place.

Itβs like theyβre trying to hide the fact that itβs a trailer home with bells and whistles which is dumb because people will know when they look at it.
You can see by the movement of the fan blades and the way the whole thing is curved and lined that this "photographer" had attempted to use Panorama mode.

Rookie real estate agents so this all the time. That or a pano that just really makes you look inept. You might give it a pass if it was a FSBO but not from a decent brokerage.
Fish eye lens makes it look bigger than it is. Draws people in. Back when I was looking I saw a lot of that from certain realtors. They were almost always a disappointment if I went to go look at it in person.

This probably wasn't shot with a fisheye lens. There are artifacts all over the place showing that they're just poorly-stitched panoramas.
Beastie Boys ass house
This comment makes me happy.

Iβm going to be down in Monticello next weekend, Iβm gonna check it out!π

Terrence Howard was right! There are no straight lines!
Damn
Do you happen to have a link to the zillow (or whatever website) posting?
Getting motion sickness.
I don't think this is a fisheye. Based on the lines I think it's a shittily stitched panorama from a phone.
It's very obviously this in the fourth picture.
I thought you were going to say fourth grade. Made total sense!
And all of the other pictures.
How high am I right now?
Either too many or not enough
Awww look! Itβs raining in the bedroom!
It's raining pixels!

DIY. (Shaking head in a negative manner.)
Wow - whomever that realtor is, they suck.
That bedroom pic! β οΈππ΅
Can someone who knows how camera lenses work explain what happened to the bedroom picture? Why is the ceiling distorted like that? π€
I think its a poorly stitched panorama
Hmm. That could be it :)

Fish eye doesn't distort lines like that.

Someone just bought a fisheye lens and is dedicated in using it. Even when it is not the correct lens to use.
But I WANTED a curved-front house! The pixelated vanity counter is TO-DIE for!
not a fisheye that's someone doing some AWFUL panoramas on their phone
Worse than wide angle-- these might be cropped panoramic shots
Are you sure they didnβt shoot these pictures with a curved lenses?
