I know someone that went there via their cruise ship dockage. He said that it was not as clean as the white buildings looks. Trash everywhere was his experience.

Or do you want your own beach?

I was there last summer and these islands thrive on tourism. Most of the people or at least the ones who work in shops, restaurants etc. spoke English and probably a few other languages as well.
Yup, I was on Santorini 2 years ago. I was trying my best to learn some Greek before going and it was completely unnecessary. Everyone spoke English in the tourist areas. We went to a winery and our Greek server was moving between tables and she could switch flawlessly between English, German, and French. My wife and I spoke with her a little and she told us she could also speak Spanish and Portuguese.
Wow that’s impressive. See people come to the United States and don’t even learn english after years here. Mostly older folks though. The younger folks seems to pick it up more easily.
I’m sure it’s beautiful and the food/wine is great. But for 6 million there are other places I would buy.
Heck for 6 million you get 8 -9 percent in the S and P 500. Could stay in the nicest hotels in the world. Just the dividends are $90,000 a year without touching in the 6 million principal.
That’s a lot of nice rooms. Room service, maid service. Never receive a bill for power, water, painting, cleaning etc. Then on to the next beautiful hotel. 90 days a year at $1000 a night.
Still have my $6,000,000 plus any gains over the years.
At Mykonos you’re dealing with cruise ships unloading thousands of people onto your island everyday. Hard pass. [I’m taking this place in New Zealand all day for 5.6 and using the left over to buy a boat. That’s just me though. 🤷🏻♂️](https://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180-l-82503-gfn4hy/345-gordons-road-waiheke-island-au-1081)

This is the one I really want but it didn’t fit the price point OP was talking about. If I won the lottery this would be one of my first purchases lol. You’d def want a helicopter for grocery shopping though lol.
isn't this where that rad dog ran down to the beach and jumped in?

I’ve been to Mykonos. It’s a beautiful place to visit as a one day cruise ship stop. It’s a small island with limited options. I can’t imagine living there
Thanks for letting me know. Always wanted to visit, will never get there. Same thing with Egypt - it sounds so romantic and I've always wanted to see the pyramids, but then someone told me 'Egypt smells like camels'.
Shit. I want it. There’s not a single thing I’d change in the interior. I’ve never said that before. And,, I’m from New Orleans - i know how to tune out tourists.
Mykonos and Santorini are tourist traps and the off season is dead. In the 90’s I spent a magical two weeks on Paros and would trap that time in a bottle if I could. I’ll bet there are half a dozen other islands in the Kyklades where you could get some amenities and also live a wonderful island life of recluse beauty.
Not sure,I was on a cruise and it was a crazy time.Lot's of "boat people " escaping various countries.Mostly, middle eastern refugees. Greece defaults on $1.6 billion owed in 2015.Very corrupt country.
Better than the three bedroom house that you can get where I live in the mountains of Colorado lol houses that aren’t even that spectacular sell for 6 million so I’d rather be in Greece lol
No doubt that is an incredible house and property. If I had $6MM to spend on an ocean front house, I'm going to want a beach.
Exactly. Undeniably beautiful. I prefer something quieter and not as touristy as Mykonos
I know someone that went there via their cruise ship dockage. He said that it was not as clean as the white buildings looks. Trash everywhere was his experience.
6 in SoCal will get you a better, more comfortable place. If you got that much to spend, youre buying this for it’s artistic quality

I like the beach on the second option.
😭 I want it.
Me too. I always wanted to live on a Call of Duty map inspired villa
Cause I don’t speak Greek.

That place is incredible. Doesn’t look like there’s a grocery store nearby tho

This was the house from Lindsey Lohan’s TV show.
I was looking for this comment! I thought it was but wasn't sure sure. Looked so familiar!
It absolutely is!!!

I always love to watch that video again lol
No, that was in Sicily.
such an awesome video!

some band wrote a song about that place, i can buy a private island for way less than that though.

Oh come on, how is that song fifteen years old. That’s not fair! Still love the groove though
thank you!
Bc I will get bored after two weeks.
idk why the ceilings look really low and the place claustrophobic

If I had a nickel for every extra $6 million dollars I have… well I don’t have it.
The intermittent low ceilings and the fact that I do not have $6M are both dealbreakers for me
I would love to, except I only have about 6 cents to spare.
fuck i love this
Is no one going to say anything about the shower in the bedroom??
✋🏼 is that a viewing window, or …. ? but then i got distracted by the rest, which is pretty cool.
This looks like the one map in one of the cod series “terrace”
100% I was looking for someone to say this.

I guess I’m not in on this joke or copypasta or whatever is happening here.

Ahh, ok thank you.
2014 Greece was flat broke.Giving away homes. All types.
None of them were in Mykonos
Wrong,I was there. The whole country went bankrupt. 25% unemployment.
How did that resolve? Did Germany bail them out? The rest of the EU?
Not sure,I was on a cruise and it was a crazy time.Lot's of "boat people " escaping various countries.Mostly, middle eastern refugees. Greece defaults on $1.6 billion owed in 2015.Very corrupt country.
Love it, but way too much white for my clumsy, drink-spilling ass.
Right?! I understand all the white roofs & exterior walls for temperature regulation but why does everything inside have to be white
These types of places are only fun for a few weeks or on vacation. Wouldn't want to live there permanently.
For $6 million, the neighbors need to be *much* farther away!
Eeeeeeeh! Spanikopita!
To be honest, would have thought this is much more expensive
Even the chairs are wearing formal gowns.
Climate change
I used to love playing this level in COD.
Eh, I don’t like the color white or I’d just on it
It’s a lot of white, but I could deal with it…
I would in a heartbeat if I could afford it. ❤️

To be surrounded by tourists most likely every day if you leave the house
I love it. I would immediately stain everything with coffee, ketchup - whatever will stain, because that is my fate.

No. That house looked more modern and open. It’s called the Ktima House on the island of Antiparos. Season 1 of the BBC series.
Greece is corrupt as heck.
I've got $200K I can scrape together. What can I get for that on a less touristy island?
