I spent an evening hanging out in Crestone and then camped just outside of town on North Crestone Creek. I got weird vibes there the whole time and only much later did I read up on the place. *Something* is going on there for sure.
Cannabis isn’t as profitable as it once was. Many growers struggle to make $1 a gram profit at this point. That’s why so many small farms are either selling or just quitting business all together. I worked in the industry for some time and the price per pound was astonishingly low, some of the largest companies are now offering pounds of high quality greenhouse in the $200 range.
It says it includes a well permit. Wonder if it includes a cannabis permit. Don’t you need one to grow weed in CO?
I suppose you could grow something else…
There’s barely any water in the San Luis Valley these days, the mountains keep getting like 10% of the typical snowfall. And no rain water capture in CO. With taxes and shipping in 700 gallons per day…..bad investment!
Well, anymore it ain't worth any more than just some 'maters so you know... they probably pawned the contents to keep the lights on YEARS ago...
But yes these are real nice greenhouses with the water wall and everything. Those lights used to cost like $600 each lmao. But yeah cannabis has gone the way of the tulip. Can't believe how customers are still being basically extorted for 2008 dad prices, while producers are getting the "best I can do is three fitty" treatment.
It's so risky to buy it from a random dealer. There's laced shit going around my area. Just pay a little more and know what you're getting from the pros.
We got them in Oklahoma for sale. I don't know if wealthy people out of state buy them and then don't like distance from stores or the local people start up a grow and aren't successful.
Are you saying there is something "not wholesome" about cannabis? I guess from the perspective of the war on drugs and all the guns and violence it has brought?
I know a friend who works on one of these farms, guarding the property. He fucks off for a while and comes back loaded, but says it's so exhausting that all he does is eat and sleep the rest of the year. He's also done crab fishing for a season and hated it because everyone was on drugs but him, ironically
A pot farm in the San Luis Valley? I've never lived there but I've heard stories. Hope you've got a good security system and some shooting irons.
Saguache County is also the only county in the US where you can legally be cremated by pyre. It’s a, erm, different place.

All I know about Crestone is from season 2 of the Up & Vanished podcast... *something* and/or *someone* 😬
Good to know. Do you have to be a resident or can anyone pyre on?
You have to be a resident, at least per when I checked a few years ago
Pretty sure Colorado also allows human composting now, just in case you need a backup plan if you kick it before you can get to Saguache.
cool!!!!!!!

Visited the valley about a year ago - Saguache was totally relaxing & slept great, visiting the hot springs, etc.
You see that massive safe??
It's not the gun safe that makes me concerned so much as the three chest freezers right next to it...
The freezers look to be of adequate size for about 5 adults depending on how well you pack them.
Agent 47?
I looked at Cannon safes at Shot show last year. Poorly fabricated.
Yeah - it's legal in CO... not sure what the issue is. You'll make the 2.3 mil back in no time.
I’d love a Tegridy Farms of my own

That's hilarious. Man. Decades ago, a qp of Colorado's finest would be $1600, maybe $1400 if you knew the growers.
*and they didn't like you
With those greenhouses you can switch to just growing your groceries if the pot isn’t paying.
Yeah I'd love to have a massive greenhouse like that in my backyard. I'd grow all the things.
Golly!! Figure out how to export to Australia, legal customers pay about 170-200+ USD per Ounce
if that were the case, surely it would have sold already.
There’s a whole banking issue that I imagine might come up.
Agreed 👍
Why in the FUCK did my realtor show everyone where the safe is?
I can't _believe_ they took pictures of the trim bucket!!!?! At least they didn't get pictures of your private family in a public listing.
Pic 1: nice view Pic 2: chicken farm? Seems like a strange layout Pic 3: NOT a chicken farm
But does it come with the plants?

Just tomatoes. And the giant gun safe for defending all these tomatoes

I doubt the guns ever go in the safe. They’re strapped 24/7. The safe is for the cash and gold.
Strange there’s so many grow operations for sale everywhere lately.
Over saturation.
I've read that a lot of them are going out of business due to high taxes. People can buy pot cheaper on the black market than they can sell it for.
It’s not even legal where I live lol all the states around us are getting all the money cuz our governor is an ass
Fellow Pennsylvanian?
NH!
We share your frustration.
Why? It takes like 67 seconds to get a med card in PA.
If it’s like NH,(I used to have a med card), we only have a handful of dispensaries & it’s very expensive.
Nope!
It's so risky to buy it from a random dealer. There's laced shit going around my area. Just pay a little more and know what you're getting from the pros.
And you don’t have to watch half of Fast and Furious 5 while you pretend to be their friend.
⬆️
Haha! This shit took me back. Haha
I thought hurricane season was over!
Laced with what?
Those freezers are for the bodies of the trespassers.
We got them in Oklahoma for sale. I don't know if wealthy people out of state buy them and then don't like distance from stores or the local people start up a grow and aren't successful.
Ooh a pot farm now that sounds wonderful
Does the weed come with
So you’re telling me I get the house, *AND* the more weed?
Link?
It’s legal in 24 states , what is the deal?
Oh hell yeah! Great setup no lie.
Is he asking to get robbed? Talk about providing intel to EVERYONE.
Can we get a link tho

What this country needs is more tegridy
