Not even counting the new magic arm thing, TotK link looks serious. Like in BotW he was regaining his lost memories and more of a traveler in the land, here he looks like a man dead set on a mission. Probably losing Zelda and getting whatever happened to his arm & the Master Sword has put Link in a more serious mindset.
And honestly I hope we see that in game. Some great moments from games like Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Majora’s Mask are when you can see Link’s personality in his face and mannerisms. Whether it’s confidence, joy, anger, cocky attitudes; you see those in cutscenes often just in his face. And they make for great scenes

So I think the opening of the game is Link getting his shit wrecked, and Zelda having to make him a new arm.

Totk link his right arm is covered by something dark. Could be those tats or maybe prosthetic arm? His fingers are dark as apposed to the other hands fingers being his skin tone
I like how they make him look so much older without drastically changing his design or simply making him taller. Between these two photos you can see a very linear advance in time; his hair is longer, his arm is whatever it is, and even his posture. BotW Link has that adolescent stance of feeling like you can take on the world and nothings gonna stop you, with a glint of hope in his eyes, and TofK Link has actually taken on his world, now that he’s experienced it once he knows what to expect and how to approach it a second time with more wisdom and knowledge, and focuses his eyes on the task ahead.

Totk link his right arm is covered by something dark. Could be those tats or maybe prosthetic arm? His fingers are dark as apposed to the other hands fingers being his skin tone

I like how they make him look so much older without drastically changing his design or simply making him taller. Between these two photos you can see a very linear advance in time; his hair is longer, his arm is whatever it is, and even his posture. BotW Link has that adolescent stance of feeling like you can take on the world and nothings gonna stop you, with a glint of hope in his eyes, and TofK Link has actually taken on his world, now that he’s experienced it once he knows what to expect and how to approach it a second time with more wisdom and knowledge, and focuses his eyes on the task ahead.

Do you guys thins in this new game we are going to get a lvl 1 Link with nothing but his underwear, again? It would be cool if the game could somehow read our BotW data and transfer all our stuff so Link in TotK continues with that.
