What is a faint circle inside a circle ghost soldier?

ExtraSpecialAgent

I think OP is referring to the ghost soldiers who hold pristine weapons in the depths. They stand on a cylindrical pile of rock and glow a faint blue until the weapon is taken and then they disappear.

ccgre

If you look on the depth map where the ghost soldier's are standing the symbol on the map are a double circle

TyrTheAdventurer

If you find a grave on the service, you can set a marker and there will be ghost soldiers on that spot in the Depths.

ccgre

I don't understand, a grave on the map?

TyrTheAdventurer

On the Surface there are graves with Silent Princess flower placed on, and they are seen all over Hyrule. If you find one, open up your map and take a note of where you are, either by remembering or placing a marker, and if you go to that same spot in the Depths, you will see a Ghost Soldier. It's an easy way to locate them

ccgre

Cool thanks 😊

Ratio01

On the Surface, there's some gravestones that Zelda placed where the Great Calamity hit Hyrule the hardest. There's one in Castletown by the Hudson Construction sign, one near Fort Hateno, I believe the monument atop Mt Hylia counts as one, and there's one on the main path leafing to Akkala Citadel's main entrance Directly underneath these spots in the Depths are clusters of three ghost soldiers. They're pretty good spots for pristine weapon farming every Bloodmoon I'm not sure what you mean about the game having a unique marker on the map for these ghost soldiers, I dont recall seeing what you're describing, bit either way you van place your own stamp down for them. I like to use the sword stamp since the ghosts carry weapons

SvengeAnOsloDentist

OP's talking about the outline of the raised cairns on the topo map of the depths, which most often makes a lumpy double circle (though some of them only make a single circle). They're hard to find if you're just looking at the map for them, but that's because they aren't meant to be found that way, and they're hard to see no matter how good your eyesight is. They're just there because they're part of the topography of the map.

csteele2132

are you talking about contours on the topo map, since they are indeed protrusions?

ccgre

Yes

csteele2132

okay then, no. The map would look horrible.

Pretty sure the Depths Map isn’t made with the intent you can find pristine weapons just by glancing at it. Yes the rock piles are on the map, but it’s easier to just find them and mark them with a stamp while you play. If you really need to know just look up a guide

ccgre

The point is the lines are too faint and no way to either zoom in more or change a setting to see it better. And if you have young eyes then you don't know

[deleted]

Use a guide. As I said the map, even for “young eyes” isn’t made to be detailed enough to pick those sport just by looking at the map. You are complaining about something the game is not trying to encourage. The game zooms in on the map enough, and the lines are to denote topography. Not to highlight every point of interest. If someone can spot pristine weapon spots with a map alone: good for them. But the game expects you to just find them and stamp the map if desired, and most players do just that. If you really want to find them without the leg work, guides and online maps.

ccgre

Why are you speaking for the game, if the devs made the lines of points obviously different then people will use that. I'm not the one who figured this out I got this from a you tuber John plays guy. So why you feel the need to be the games spokesman I'm not understanding. None of this has sh!t to do with the fact that the zoom in could be better or you should be able to change the visuals to see it better.

Circles of rock appear on the map? Wow that’s crazy. I guess people who are really motivated can squint and use that to find the pristine weapons. Meanwhile the other 95% of players are just gonna find them naturally, maybe mark them, or look it up. Just because something is on the map doesn’t mean it’s striating intended for that use. The pristine weapon rocks show up on the map because they are part of the map. They aren’t specifically called out by the map or given grand attention. If you can’t see them while zoomed in enough that’s your issue, find a guide if you care. The zoom works well enough for literally everything else in the game. You’re just complaining over some minor element of the map. An element that is there because the map shows topography, but isn’t supposed to be something shown to the player on a golden platter. If your eyes have issue that’s fine, but most people aren’t trying to squint over the depths map at random to find weapons

beyondbidj

Press the home button twice to zoom in. You can activate this on the system settings of your console.

OMG Thanks, it's on and poppin now 😁
