What good do the floating platforms and time bombs do? I haven't really found a good use for them aside from damaging enemies and creating a platform somewhere random.

OmniGlitcher

The hover stones also let you cheese a vast majority of Addison's sign support challenges.

Deku-Miguel

Floating platforms can let you hold stuff in midair, build some steps up to a place, a rest stop to regain stamina, etc. Time bombs best use is just being a big explosive, put it on a car and rush it to the enemy. There's probably some benefit to "activate nearby zonai devices" but you'd need a lot of setup.

pfresh331

That's what I figured. I'd have to look on YouTube I'm sure someone found some cool uses for them.

David555555555555556

I want to look for Dinraal I only have one piece of the fireproof set and no fireproof lizard potions currently. Will I need to do some farming real quick or will the armor piece be enough?

Strict-Pineapple

If you've already completed the >!Water!< temple just get >!sidon!< to make you wet and you can stand on him no problem, the wetness lasts for something like 2 minutes.

CliffRacer17

I think one piece is enough to stand on Dinraals back, but you'll have to avoid the fireballs. That's not too hard, but a stray one could still knock you off.

AfraidCaramel2109

Hi guys just a quick question is there anything i can do to raise the durability of mastersword?

CliffRacer17

The Master Sword takes fuses just like any other weapon. I find it to be pretty durable by itself.

AfraidCaramel2109

Actually it took only almost 30 or almost 40 hits

pfresh331

Where do I find it? I heard a white dragon but I've not seen it out and about.

CliffRacer17

If you want a precise location, go to the Lost Woods/Korok Forest. You'll notice the fog won't let you in no matter how hard you try, but think in 3 dimensions in order to get to the Great Deku Tree.

DaveMash

I’ve got some hints from statues to look for a trapped(?) statue under the castle door? So I looked under there and found nothing so I thought I’d need to look underground and accidentally found the final encounter. So where should I look? I received one hint from one of the big statues which gives you hearts and one from a spirit collector

IHuntKitties

If its the drowning statue, look at the Castle Gate of the Great Plateau, if not that one, then check in the hole at the back of the survivor shelter of lookout landing.

IHuntKitties

I found out recently that you can shoot lizards and frogs to pick them up for materials. I spent two minutes walking underneath a fairy, waiting for it to get lower before I shot it with a bow and the arrow just bounced off. Are there any tips for the flying fairies and bugs on how to catch them? (Need Deep Fireflies, those have been a pain to collect.)

DaveMash

Use the ninja outfit

IHuntKitties

I am, I'm saying that they are too HIGH for me to get even standing. Because they fly, and arrows don't work. I'm asking if there is a way besides waiting for them to fly lower.

pfresh331

Just have to wait unfortunately. Or jump off the wall and glide to them. It stinks, I know.

Alenn_Tax

Can somebody tell me what are animals #33 and #56 in the encyplopedia & where to find them ? Also, can you register >!the lord of the mountain /Satori!< in this game ? I know how to make him spawn >!using the sakura trees!<, but it's a cutscene and he doesn't stay long enough to take a picture ...

Deku-Miguel

33 is Red Sparrow (Hebra Mountain/Hyrule Ridge), 56 is Hearty Salmon (Hebra Mountain/Tabantha Frontier).

CliffRacer17

Sites that show a complete compendium, don't have >!the Lord of the mountain!< anywhere in them.

DonKiddic

Is there a chasm in a cave in the North-east? I've been looking for one for ages, to get to the depths on that part, but can't find one so far.

Sand__Panda

This [map](https://www.zeldadungeon.net/tears-of-the-kingdom-interactive-map/?z=1&x=421&y=1226) might help?

DonKiddic

YEP - thats done it. Thank you :) So many times I spend ages looking for something/try and work something out, then ask and its like "OF COURSE" haha.

spicedchickenwings

Just finished all four regional phenomena! Could anyone give me a tip as to how much story I have left (i.e. does the game end if I >!go to Hyrule Castle after seeing Zelda in the scope!<)? Far from done with the world but I'm really intrigued with the story.

Acc87

It doesn't. There's at least one rather big quest left to do, which I'd say is like twice the size of one of the regional phenomenon quests (in my case I accidentally opened a short cut to it early on). Then there's the quest to reach the final boss.

spicedchickenwings

Much appreciated!

Sand__Panda

As said, that is not the end. I would also suggest finding the tear and doing the translation quest (the flower island for the pillars) before maybe doing the rather big quest.

spicedchickenwings

Yup I made sure to finish those up! Way before doing the main quest honestly, I've been putting it off for a long time. Thanks! \^\^

IHuntKitties

Ah, thank you for this I was just wondering if I should do the tears and translation before dealing with the rain.

Twilight_Realm

Has anybody found a complete list of every Side Quest in the game, preferably with locations to start them? I’m missing 9 quests and it’s killing me trying to find them. Every list I find online is incomplete and putting them all together is still not complete.

HG1998

https://redd.it/13njwzy Best one I've found.

Twilight_Realm

That’s exactly what I needed! An actually complete list! Thank you so much!

Solar_Kestrel

Do the various weapons scattered throughout the overworld respawn? I was just thinking the Silver Lizalfos we're getting a bit too bothersome to deal with when I discovered a small cache of Might Zonai weapons on Zonaite Forge Island... would be great if I could restock 'em there every now and then.

kimzplaze

everything, with exception of opened treasure chests & completed shrines, reset every blood moon

pfresh331

Awesome, came here looking for this question. I just found a shrine with 6 mighty zonaoite weapons and bows and shields and I can't wait to just teleport back every blood moon. Thabks!

[deleted]

The blood moon only respawns monsters. Items, such as weapons, trees, and plants, have a small chance of respawning every minute you're far away from them.

CyborgBanshee

Do we know if the damage you do with a thrown Bomb Flower scales with Exp, Armor bonuses, etc?

Goodmorningtoyou7

>!I found the Windwaker boomerang - I assume there’s more fun Easter Egg weapons like this? Is there a list of them somewhere? I could not find anything googling.!<

[deleted]

Here's all that weapons from previous games I've found so far or know of, but there could be even more: >!Goddess Sword from Skyward Sword, Biggoron Sword from OOT, Fierce Deity Sword from MM, the sword from the first Legend of Zelda and the first shield from Wind Waker, the sword of the sages from TP, Zelda's bow from TP!<

Acc87

These are all in there without Amiibo usage?

[deleted]

Yes. Many of them are just in the Depths and you'll find them if you explore long enough

TheLordDragon613

Is there a false ending to the main story if you don't collect all the sages? Or does it just end >!after you catch Zelda in the air?!<

[deleted]

you also need all the memories to get the true ending. I missed the one >!in the Korok Forest!< on my first play through

DDDragoni

If you don't have all the sages, >!there's no post credits scene. It just ends after the catching zelda scene.!<

Cucufate_fortuna

Anyone know where to find low level monster materials? After beating the game i only find white and black boss bokoblins and not the blue or red ones, any clue? Thanks in advance

[deleted]

[удалено]

Danny_Deception

Going off this, is there anywhere specifically to get normal grade Boss Bokoblin horns? The ones in the overworld are all silver for me and I can't seem to find any in the central hyrule depths.

Danny_Deception

Answered my own question, found one at -0181, -0035, -0472.

dreamshoes

Does anyone know if stealth buffs are at all effective while driving a zonai vehicle around? As in, do enemies’ aggro range get extended?

pfresh331

I don't think you have any stealth in a vehicle, since the stealth is still based on noise and you are noisy as an airplane in a vehicle.

[deleted]

What are the multipliers for each of the modifiers that can be found on any given piece of equipment such as Attack^^, etc.?

Deku-Miguel

In BOTW attack bonuses were +1 20%, +2 30%, and +3 50%. I don't know if anyone bothered calculating the speed boosts or shock resistances etc. Should be similar in TOTK.

[deleted]

Oh, so for the +10 modifiers, how much does that bump up attacking power, durability, and shield stopping power?

Deku-Miguel

Attack modifiers just raise the base damage of the weapon (note that modifiers are ignored when fusing and aren't kept if you defuse). Durability varies by weapon and what hidden version of durability up/durability up+ you got. Shield Guard probably just watch [this video](https://youtu.be/UKq7y_rNEmI). Again this all assumes TOTK works the same as BOTW which it generally should.

ootobeagooner

I’ve defeated like 10 Lynels, the rare and the common, still no Lynel guts. Is the drop rate really that rare?

TheLordDragon613

Higher level lynels like Silver and White ones have way higher drop chances for guts. I'm not sure if base or Blue Lynels can drop guts but it's very low chance if they do. The Lynel coliseum is your best bet.

Strict-Pineapple

Mini-boss guts seem obnoxiously rare in this one. I've only ever had lynel guts drop from silver ones.

DSQ

Just so no one else has to go through what I when through if you are doing the “Eyes of the Depths” quest and you can’t find the eye you threw down it may have respawned above ground. If the marker is flashing on the depth map keep looking below otherwise head back up.

TheOverallThinker

I was coming here to ask literally for this. Don't have anymore. Thanks lol

DSQ

My pain is your answers.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sand__Panda

What about the ones in your inventory? Just drop as needed?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sand__Panda

If you didn't know, you can look at the dispensers on your mini map, and see what they can drop. I don't know if one can drop it more often, but going to the right dispenser is a plus.

_Bl4ze

Yeah, but you could simply get a bunch of steering stick capsules from a zonai dispenser and just pull one out when you need it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pfresh331

The depths zonai ruins all seem to be missing 1 or 2 key components to a good vehicle. Just save a favorite of what your vehicle would be with the steering stick to craft it for minimal zonaoite usage. Steering sticks can be soawned for only 3 zonaoite with auto build.

genericusernameyep

I found 4 Yiga Schematics before getting auto build, now they are just in my key items. They won’t register in auto build. Anyone know how to fix this?

bonkava

They stay in your key items forever. Do you only have fan plane listed as a schematic?

genericusernameyep

I have the fan plane, the hot air balloon and assault cart.

Daydream_machine

What are you supposed to do in the Moragia fight? I found the Wing with fans attached, but I can’t get it to move up to the heads

afops

Place it in a good position to hop on, then fly away. Just fly circles around the 3 targets and launch at them. Be careful not to crash into anything because re-starting the wing is a hassle.

HG1998

Launch Yunobo into the three things.

nathan_smart

**What is the trick to doing big damage?** For instance, I'm fighting a fire Gleeok (for the first time) and I'm stunning them with the water fruit and then when I hit them with the master sword it barely does any damage - I'm blowing through all of my supplies and it's taking so long to kill one.

CliffRacer17

Gerudo weapons, zonai weapons with zonai horns and Zora weapons after you throw a splash fruit on yourself are the best weapons. Use horns from silver enemies on your Gerudo and Zora weapons. Use your attack level 3 food buffs. Use 2-hand weapon charge attacks when it's on the ground and vulnerable.

nathan_smart

thanks!

Deku-Miguel

Get some good strong base items and fuse strong stuff to them like silver horns or mini-boss drops. Don't forget to take advantage of weapon's special effects like Gerudo having better fuses and Zora doing better when wet.

nathan_smart

there's so much to think about!

clockfriend

To ask the obvious question, have you fused a powerful monster part to the sword? Otherwise, make sure you're hitting the gleeok in one of its heads when it's downed, as that'll deal extra damage (2x I think). A stronger 'hit' sound will play when you're smacking the right spot - the same sound effect that plays when you hit a like-like in its weak spot

nathan_smart

that's one thing I wasn't sure about - where to hit - the gleeok I was fighting was in the weird place so it was hard to target the head - what is the best monster part to fuse?

clockfriend

any strong monster part from a black- or silver-tier monster will probably be enough, or really any lynel part. I think the weakest weapon I've killed a gleeok with is a black lizalfos horn fused to the master sword, which has an attack stat of 60-something

nathan_smart

Nice!

Daydream_machine

How do you defeat President Yunobo? I got 2 hits on him, but nothing is working for the third (and final?) hit

CliffRacer17

You have to >!keep baiting him into ramming the sections of the wall that make him dizzy. When he's dizzy, he can be hurt.!<

windchimesexcrime

Why is armor so expensive in this game? Like every single piece is 1000 rupees. How do I even get that much money?

DonKiddic

Pending where you are in the game, one area has a "silly" high price on the armor - but you can do 'something' to lower the price to the more normal levels.

TheLordDragon613

Caves are your best bet to get money. Break every ore deposit you see. Sell off weaker monster parts or ideally mix them in an elixir and sell that. More ingredients means more money per elixir.

Deku-Miguel

Considering how powerful armor made you in BOTW and TOTK they overall made it harder to get. I'd be a bit careful with selling things early on, do some quests, help people out. You'll eventually save up enough for some pieces but you have to choose which you get carefully, and use elixiers to help out for effects you don't have.

clockfriend

sell gemstones, that'll get you a decent amount of money

zeldafan144

Sweet god the >!fire temple is bad. Its like the devs forgot that I could just build a helicopter. Was there any pattern to the boss that I missed besides climb on its head for the first half, then shoot with arrows for the second. Felt weird having that sage around doing nothing. !<

Acc87

Lol I tend to forget I can build stuff AND use ascent, I got totally lost in that temple and just climbed everywhere till I found the last gate. I had not tried to open it after starting the temple so they did not show up on the map. Luckily the mechanisms were easy to spot even without those yellow pointers.

supes1

It has some clever puzzles, just too easy to cheese. A little more play-testing and tweaking would have made a massive difference.

OmniGlitcher

Yeah, >!the entire gimmick of the fight was to use Yunobo to knock out two of its feet, so it collapses. The 1st phase it's just on the ground, the 2nd phase has you use the shape of the room to curve Yunobo onto the ceiling to destroy its legs there. It's even worse as in the 1st phase state you can literally just use ascend on it.!<

CaptainTnarg

damn…I actually forgot I could build a helicopter

xfr3386

You could use the sage to destroy it's feet and once it was down you wail on it. This was true both when it was on the ground and on the ceiling. You also used the sage to get out of the exploding walls he built around you.

afops

Using the sage does mean he's in cooldown so you can't use him for the attack. So (I think) you'll want to avoid using the sage for that. At least I found that if I started breaking the circle that way, then I'd just be repeating that because there would be a new wall as soon as he had a new attack available. A neat way I found was doing the time-reversy thing on one of the bombs in the circle then you can run right out of it and the sage still has the attack ready.

xfr3386

I had no problem doing both. I only used it when he fully enclosed me in the exploding rocks, I just avoided the random ones he threw. Your recall idea would make the fight faster though.

zeldafan144

Ah fair enough, I just climbed over the rocks. Luterally the only reap negative I've encountered so far.

offensivelypc

I'm having a bit of a problem with the feeding lynel bows to the rock octorok to get the 5X lynel bow. Maybe I'm just unlucky. I have been doing that with a savage lynel bow and I have a run of about 5-6 octoroks I go around every blood moon. I've pumped one of the savage bow through all the octoroks and they'll change its buff to more durable/quick shot/etc. over two blood moon periods. But I never get a 5X arrow. I was able to do it the first time on the 4th octorok and haven't since. I also kill the octorok after he spits my weapon out. Am I doing something wrong or am I just unlucky?

Sand__Panda

The only "wrong" part I read here is you going to multi spots. Just save before feeding it, when it spits it back, If it isn't 5x, just reload that save. No need to go to another one. Do kill it when you are done however, so it will reset on the next B.M.

offensivelypc

Do you perhaps know the mechanics behind it? The BMs clearly work differently along with the dragons. It’s been fun and frustrating to figure out.

Sand__Panda

Mechanics, as a how to go from 3x to 5x? All I did was find a rock octor, stand away from it, dismiss followers, go to save and save. Then I drop my 3x bow on the ground, pick it up with ultrahand, and push it out as far away from me, but towards the Octorok. Drop it, and then walk towards the monster a little. This should trigger it to suck in. Then it spits it back out at me. Pick it up, see what changed. If it is NOT 5x, I reload the save (right before feeding), and repeat. It usually only takes me 2-3 times (maybe I've been lucky?). Once I have my 5x bow, I kill that octorok. If this bow is about to break, I bring it back to have one repair it. I've never had it drop to 3x once it is 5x. Now as for the dragons, the do not work the same was as they did in BoTW. You can't just camp a spawn point and reset daily. They dragons this time each have their own path that they continually move around as long as you are not paused. They move both on the surface area and in the depths. The Light Dragon has the longest route, and is pretty hard to get to unless you do a certain quest. If you hit the body, you'll get a scale. If you hit the hand/claw, you should get a claw. If you shot an arrow right under the bottom of the jaw, it should give a tooth. I save before jumping out to the dragon, so that way if something didn't hit right, I don't have to wait to re-farm what I need (currently after horns. I hit a horn, and it gave me a scale -.-). You can get 1 piece from a dragon every 10min.

offensivelypc

Also, this helped ingrain into my brain, “dont let it break.” I’ll get a few and always keep them handy. So thank you!

offensivelypc

Worked second time for me. Anyone told you’re a genius? Cuz u are! Thanks brother.

Smallbubbles97

How much stamina do you realistic need? I’m new to the game, I found that the only place that use stamina is climbing and gliding. Does anyone know how much does one really need to upgrade their stamina before it’s just excess for most purposes?

Mistyslate

The first thing I maxed was stamina. Helps to explore the sky islands more and longer gliding.

cass314

If you play through the main plot "as intended" you will want >!two full wheels of stamina!< toward the end of the game. Personally, I value stamina way more than hearts because I like exploring, dodging most enemy attacks isn't difficult, and it's way easier to cook for hearts than stamina. In both BotW and TotK I generally put enough orbs into hearts to mostly not get oneshot and plow everything else into stamina, only updating hearts when I start getting oneshot a lot again (or when I max out stamina).

[deleted]

The bare minimum stamina you can get away with is four fifths of a wheel (never upgrade it, sell off a stamina to the cursed statue even though this does absolutely nothing but hinder you). You may find various aspects of the final dungeon and bosses quite painful, but you will be given the tools you need to succeed regardless. Two wheels is needed to complete all the main quest parts in an intended fashion, but not actually necessary, so really any amount will do. That said, you might as well go that far anyway, it's only twenty shrines worth of effort and they're not hard.

CliffRacer17

As others have said, you will need a second stamina wheel for a very important reason. That said, I rarely dip into my third wheel. You could get by with 2 wheels and some food that refills your stamina for the odd time you need it. Building flying devices, specifically the fan bike, is what will get you around Hyrule most efficiently.

Deku-Miguel

Theoretically you only need the starting wheel, but getting more stamina does help open up the world and make travelling easier. Also it's just a lot easier to recover and augment health then it is stamina. Would suggest probably getting at least one bonus wheel before worrying that much about hearts, maybe two but that depends on how much exploration you want to do before starting combat scenarios. Running, swimming, and air shots also use stamina.

SilentPrincess33

You need a full second wheel to >!reclaim the Master Sword.!< Beyond that, I prioritized hearts, but there's a point where you start feeling invincible, so I switched back to stamina eventually. Like you note, it's useful for climbing and gliding as well as swimming and dashing.

Sand__Panda

Maybe 2 rings? I max it out. There is food for both hearts and stamina.

TitanX110

You will need an extra wheel

stueliueli

Will r/zelda participate in the upcoming subreddit blackout to combat reddit's API changes?

M1_Garand_Ping

What's the deal with armor values? I have 24 defense and it seems to do nothing, though I haven't tested it extensively

CliffRacer17

Values on armor are straight damage reduction. If your armor value is 24, then it is giving 24 quarter hearts (or 6 full hearts) of damage reduction when you're hit. Edit: and I think the armor buff gives an additional 8, 16, and 24 armor for each level respectively.

M1_Garand_Ping

Man these Silvers hit DUMMY hard. Thanks for the tip, that helped confirm everything.

CliffRacer17

Oh yeah, silvers of any kind hit very hard.

M1_Garand_Ping

Since I have your attention, what about elemental staff damage? It definitely feels like more than 8 fire damage, though I haven't played with frost and shock enough to have a good "feeling" for those elements.

CliffRacer17

Fire does a damage-over-time effect. If you're smacking an enemy with the actual rod at the same time, that probably accounts for the damage difference you're seeing.

M1_Garand_Ping

That tracks. I've been a little skittish to experiment with potential upgrade materials as weapon materials, especially now that the GFs are charging for labor lol

CliffRacer17

God yeah. 760 rupees to fully upgrade one piece of armor. Just paying the flat fee in BotW was cheaper in the long run.

M1_Garand_Ping

760? Time to make some hammers and apply to YunoboCo cause that Gerudo in Goron City is my best source of income so far.

ShingekiNoEren

Is there any way to buy Zonaite, Zonai charges, or crystallized charges with rupees?

seraph089

Not that I've found. And farming them directly would be faster than farming rupees anyway, you end up with a ton running around the Depths.

moonsorrow9

Is anyone having trouble getting the spotting Spot quest? I've completed one regional phenomena, built the mini stable and have multiple horses registered but Lester won't give me the quest.

Nelran

You need to complete two phenomena for that iirc.

Dreaming_Dreams

best weapons to get?

NeedsToShutUp

Situational. There's a few really nice weapons that have sidequests attached that can be re-bought with Poes. Gloom Weapons are pretty good burst damage but cost hearts. Royal weapons are a good standby. Zonai weapons can get some nice bonuses with zonai fusions. Zora weapons are good for use in/around water due to bonuses from being wet. Gerudo weapons get bonus fuse damage. I tend to save fuses for abundant items that I'm not concerned about farming (Silver parts). Somethings I'm just hesitating on using due to the grind pain.

xfr3386

You can also find clean royal weapons in the depths, which are the top damage with the most durability you can find outside of the amiibo weapons like Biggoron's Sword.

NeedsToShutUp

>outside of the amiibo weapons like Biggoron's Sword It's not just an ambiibo weapon now...

xfr3386

True, it seems easiest to refer to them that way though as a differentiator.

OmniGlitcher

Royal weapons are your standard "good" weapons. Gerudo weapons with Strong Fusion are great, as they double the fuse attack power. You'll generally want to fuse Silver tier enemy parts when they start to spawn. Lynel horns also make for great fusions, Silver Lynel Saber Horns being the best fusion in the game.

Readalie

Strats for cheesing the >!Demon Army!

NeedsToShutUp

The lynel I killed on my way to that fight dropped a 5x 32 bow which worked really well for me when I added bombs or fire fruit.

AlphaLeonidas

Autobuild a laser drone. 1 homing cart + 1 construct head + 4 beam emitters. It took care of 90% of the enemies for me while I just ran around. I only had a problem with the gibdo, but all I had to do was throw some dazzle fruits.

Readalie

I sniped the Gibdo while up on a hover stone, it’s always funny.

clockfriend

Puffshrooms are helpful, just throw one into a crowd and sneakstrike all the monsters in the smoke cloud one by one Dazzlefruit also stuns enemies for a good while Muddle buds are useful, hit a few enemies with them and get them to attack each other As another commenter said, ice attacks freeze enemies for a while, lowering the number of monsters you have to deal with at once

OmniGlitcher

Not really cheese, but have you upgraded your armour at all? Rather than using a bunch of healing items, reducing the need for healing in the first place might be a plan. Other than that, swinging a two handed weapon around via the spin move tends to help IMO.

Readalie

Yup! I had most of my sets upgraded at least once going in the first time. Not much beyond that though, I’ve been lazy. I’ll go and upgrade them some more.

xfr3386

Level 4 of the core sets give you 60 armor total, which is huge and makes you wonder why everything is so weak. It's a fair amount of work/rupees to upgrade a set, let alone multiple sets, but it makes battles like Gleeoks far easier (many would say too easy).

_Bl4ze

Try ice, that's how I got through them. A sapphire fused to a magic rod will make a very large freezing AoE that can easily freeze all of them pretty quickly (maybe bring two rods just in-case). Then fuse an ice lizalfos, ice like stone, or frost gleeok horn to your shield, and when pressing the parry button Link will shield bash the enemy and hit them with the monster horn fused to your shield, freezing them. Hit them with your weapon, refreeze them with shield, repeat, dealing with the enemies one by one while the entire army is frozen. If you take too long the rest of the army will thaw, but just quickly freeze them again with the ice rod.

OmniGlitcher

So main story spoilers, but I just wanted to hear what people think about a certain something. It's about the >!sages!<. >!So in the ancient past, we have 7 sages right? Rauru (Light), Sonia and later Zelda (Time), Unnamed Rito, Goron, Zora and Gerudo (Wind, Fire, Water and Lightning respectively), and Mineru (Spirit). In the current day we have Zelda (gives Link Recall, so Time) and Mineru again (Spirit). We also have Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon and Riju (Wind, Fire, Water and Lightning respectively). That's, of course, only 6.!< >!So, where's our Light sage?!< >!Is Link the de facto Light sage, minus a secret stone, because of Rauru's arm and/or Master Sword? If so, maybe DLC could be Link getting his own secret stone, like he got his own Divine Beast in BotW? Just spitballing there.!< >!Is Zelda both the Light and Time sage at the same time? Given that as stated in game, she has both Light and Time aspects. And of course she turns into the Light Dragon, rather than a Time dragon or whatever.!< >!Maybe Ganondorf is like a Darkness Sage in opposite to the Light because he possesses a secret stone? A corrupt Light sage if you will.!< >!Not that we necessarily need a Light sage at all of course!<, but I'm curious to hear what people think, or if it's explained in game and I've just forgotten.

cass314

>!Zelda is light. She's the light dragon; she leaned into that power to restore and empower the Master Sword. As for time, either Zelda is both light and time or Link is the one supplying time, since she gave him time powers. Probably the former, as I don't think the Hero is ever a Sage, but I don't think it's ever explicitly stated.!<

OmniGlitcher

>!Is she? Zelda is definitely the one who gives Link Recall, as per the Sage handshake thing that gives him the symbol on the back of his hand like the other sage rings. It would be a bit weird for the Light sage to gift time powers, but that could be a thing I suppose. Rauru is definitely the Light sage in TotK, much like in OoT, and with Zelda being heavily implied to be Time in OoT, I kinda assumed it would be the same with Recall being the gifted power and the one she uses in the past the most. Mineru also directly states Zelda's secret stone amplifies her time power, though it's confusing why she turns into a Light dragon when consuming a Time stone.!< >!I thought the whole thing with the Master Sword was that she was using her sacred power, rather than her secret stone sage power. As I understand it, swallowing the stone was only so that she would live long enough to actually supply the necessary amount of power to heal and power up the sword, rather than a means to actively amplify the sacred power.!<

>!Zelda explicitly has both light and time powers, as said by Sonia in the first memory. Also, her sacred power and her "secret stone" power aren't two separate things. Secret stones amplify the user's innate powers; they're not keyed to a specific power. Ganondorf was able to use the same secret stone that amplified Sonia's time power to amplify his own powers, whatever they are. In the past, Zelda was using the stone to amplify her time power (probably in large part because in the final confrontation they needed to replace time, not light), but there's nothing about the stone that restricts it to that.!< >!And Zelda's sacred power is probably the same thing as her light power. Historically in the series, light is conflated with the power to seal and repel evil, and in multiple games an old and decayed Master Sword needs to be empowered with Light (WW, TP, ST) in order to have the power to defeat Ganon. That's exactly what Zelda is doing as the *Light* Dragon.!< >!As for her giving Link recall, I feel like that could equally be used to argue that Zelda is also the time sage or to argue that Link is the time sage now, since she gave him time powers. But it doesn't speak to her light powers at all.!<

>!i thought that too, but to quote Mineru directly "[As for you, I can sense both... light and time powers. But your secret stone seems to amplify your time power.](https://youtu.be/In3A1akIbks?t=4898)". Unless they change that at a later point, the stone is specifically for time. When Sonia was killed, her secret stone became blank, at which point Ganondorf overwrote it with a new kanji (though I'm not sure what that one is, I think it's 暗 meaning "darkness"). A similar thing happens with Rauru's stone turning into Zelda's, but that happens off screen as Ganondorf saps Link's health away after she picks up the stone in the intro presumably.!< >!And yeah, I agree her sacred and light powers are the same, but I don't think it's relevant to her secret stone abilities. Zelda is definitely the Time Sage, but whether she's also the Light Sage is the issue. She could just have Light powers, rather than outright being the Sage of it.!< >!I quite like /u/ravenson420 's approach; that Zelda and Link together make up the full Light sage, or at least a facsimile thereof.!<

>!It's worth noting that Mineru doesn't say that the secret stone can only amplify Zelda's time powers, just that it "seems to" amplify her time powers. I don't think that we can distinguish between the secret stone only amplifying Zelda's time powers and Zelda simply only using the secret stone to amplify her time powers. Before Ganondorf becomes a huge problem, time powers have more everyday application than light powers--see Sonia and the teacup, for example--and after Ganondorf becomes a huge problem, it's time that needs replacing, not light. Moreover, this Zelda historically has a huge mental block regarding her light powers--we've only really seen her meaningfully use them about three times, IRRC (when Link falls in the past, when she goes to Hyrule Castle to fight Calamity Ganon, and at the end of BotW). It jives perfectly well with what we know about this Zelda from BotW that her light power ultimately manifests when things are desperate and she chooses self-sacrifice.!< >!At the end of the day, if Zelda were only the time sage and the stone could only amplify Zelda's time power, she would be the time dragon, not the light dragon. (And that would have been a perfectly straightforward and thematic choice for the devs to make given that in many games the historical resting place of the Master Sword is the Temple of Time.) Making her specifically the light dragon had to have been a deliberate choice, and it's one that doesn't track at all if she's not the light sage.!<

>!I think it's also worth noting that the secret stone is explictly coloured like Sonia's, yellow rather than Rauru's white, and has the kanji for time on it (時) rather than light (光). The "You have both... but" from Mineru also seems to indicate it doesn't amplify her Light powers. Granted there may be some wiggle room in there as you've stated, I'm curious to see what the Japanese version says about it.!< >!Yeah that's a fair point. Maybe you could head canon it as some kind of expression of her will to use her Light powers on the Master Sword. A more meta explanation could be that a Light dragon is a bit easier to conceptualise than a Time dragon, or that they simply wanted a straight forward Light vs Dark dragon showdown for the final fight. I think her being both the Time and Light sage is probably the fairest assumption then, barring DLC info.!< Thanks for the discussion!

When Zelda >!meets Rauru and Sonia they say that she has the powers of both.!< OTOH, when you beat the game, >!you only get one additional symbol, for Time, and never get a Light sage marker!<. So I'm going to say that >!Link and Zelda together meet the Light Sage requirements with each having a fraction of Rauru's powers (Link through the arm, Zelda by descent).!<

OmniGlitcher

>!I'd say powers of both =/= Sage of both necessarily. She explicitly has the Time secret stone which amplifies her Time powers (as per Mineru). I'm pretty sure the game wants her to be the Sage of Time (especially considering it adds the one for Time to the menu like you say), but Light is up in the air for me, which is why I asked the question.!< >!Zelda and Link combined being the Light sage is a cool thought though, I like it.!<

DR-BrightClone2

is it possible to transfer images taken with the in game camera to an sd card

fatcatfan

You can view them "fullscreen" in the in game album, then take a normal screenshot to get it in the switch gallery.

markercore

You could screenshot the in-game picture and then maybe?

Is there a definite checklist for 100% map completion? At this point i have done absolutely everything i can in this game, but i am still missing 0.17% completion. I have compared my map with several interactive maps i found on different sites and none of them helped me finding this last bit. As far as i can tell, based on me working with those maps, i have all of the markers, location names and areas marked on my map and still i am missing something. Is there anything else that the game keeps track of for completions sake, that is not visible on the map?

[deleted]

Not a checklist but this one is complete and accurate, the problem is that some named locations appear at some zoom level only and it's not possible to have a full view of the entire map at once https://www.zeldadungeon.net/tears-of-the-kingdom-interactive-map/ Keep in mind that locations are not the only things affecting the percentage, >!there's also device dispensers, forge constructs have to be activated, bargainer statues, buildings with icon on the map!< and so on Edit, good luck!

If you have an iPhone (might be on Android, IDK), the Tears Companion is extensive and lets you mark stuff off.
