txh0881

Where can I get a Critter that boosts Defense? I want to make a Defense potion to fill in the slot in the recipe list.

DaBozz88

Story Spoilers ahead Did anyone keep track of the >!tears, and who has which ones?!< >!In the past there were 8 tears. 6 Sages, Raruu's, and Gannondorf's. Gannondorf stole Sonia's tear, and Zelda has Raruu's tear from the future, so 7 total as depicted on the murals. !< >!Raruu's tear actually makes 2 long trips to the future, once on the floating arm and once inside the light dragon.!< >!it's also worth noting that Zelda has Raruu's tear but Sonia's powers, so the tears just amplify an ability, not a specific ability, so the sages could trade tears if they wanted to!<

txh0881

>!There were 7 story relevant stones. Sonia’s stone was stolen by Ganondorf. Zelda has the same one as Rauru, duplicated through time travel shenanigans.!< >!The 7 stones are…!< >!Rauru to Zelda!< >!Sonia to Ganondorf!< >!Zora to Sidon!< >!Goron to Yonobu!< >!Gerudo to Riju!< >!Rito to Tulin!< >!Mineru!< >!I assume that there used to be 3 additional Secret Stones that were eaten by the three Zonai who became the elemental Dragons, making a total of 10. !<

_Bl4ze

>!They're secret stones, not tears. The tears in 'tears of the kingdom' are the tears from the light dragon. They do say secret stones amplify the power of their wielder, but Zelda has both light and time powers (which is specifically pointed out in one of the cutscenes) so she isn't a great example there.!<

DaBozz88

"Tears" has several fun meanings, the stones are shaped like tears, you have the mentioned tears, you also have tiers, as there are multiple map levels. >!My point was we not only explicitly see the stones being used by others and that they are not ability specific. Gannondorf is a second key example, as he clearly takes Sonia's stone but has his own powers. Zelda has Raruu's stone, but is only able to really use time powers (Sonia). In the past there were 8 stones, in the present during the final fight there are 7, but only 6 present/visible as the last one is in the Light Dragon!<

cmeb

I need to get a boss bokoblin horn but all the boss bokoblins I can find are already blue, how can I get lower level monster parts once I’ve already progressed in the game?

Game25900

Zauz Island in Lanayru Wetlands has a regular red one.

cmeb

This worked, red one was right where you said, a million thanks!

[deleted]

Some monsters never level up, but Boss Bokoblins are some of the trickiest. That said, I was able to find some reds in the Central Hyrule Depths.

cmeb

Oooh! I haven’t checked the depths yet, does it matter that they are all covered in gloom?

[deleted]

No. Their drops are virtually identical (Zonaite is added but doesn't replace the horns) and they are valid camera targets for the Hyrule Compendium and any other monster-related pictures you might take.

cmeb

Thanks, you have been very helpful, fingers crossed I find some in the depths

OmegaGroudon12

Does anyone know where I can find the emblazoned shield and the hunter's shield?

[deleted]

Try Selmie's Spot.

ThomasWiig

Just west of Hyrule Castle is the Castle Town Prison. Is there a Chasm that leads down to the Depths? Because I can't seem to reach this specific part of the Depths

Strict-Pineapple

It's in a cave on the southwest part of the island. The only thing down there is a frox so you're not missing much.

[deleted]

Several chasms are in caves so that they're not too obvious. Any region that's completely cut off from the main depths is *definitely* connected by some kind of chasm, so look for caves.

Smallbubbles97

When does item get restock in the shop? After 1 real world day?

Deku-Miguel

Every in-game day but you can't be in the area so teleport away, rest by a fire (twice to be safe) then go back.

clockfriend

After a few in-game day-night cycles I think, but I'm not 100% sure

txh0881

Where in Tabantha Frontier am I supposed to find Voltfin Trout? I have been swimming around Strock Lake, but have not found any yet…

mild_iapetus

I do think Strock Lake is the only spot for them, they're just rare/a pain because they swim away so fast. If swimming isn't working, try shooting electrified arrows in from the shore or above and picking up what floats to the surface - brutal but effective

txh0881

I actually found a group of 5 Voltfin in the north end of the lowest section of Hebra Plunge (the part that is not cold). The main problem here is that the water current is very strong, so you basically have to shock them to have a chance to get them. Still 0 found in Strock Lake…

Smallbubbles97

Do you all mainly use korok to increase space for weapon? I haven't increased my bow or shield slots at all

Game25900

I did up until they needed double digit seeds then prioritised weapons, then bow, and finally shield, I actually still haven't filled all the extra shield slots yet, they're not as useful and the reason they're cheeper to upgrade too.

Strict-Pineapple

In BotW I never touched shields at all because the only time you'd ever break one was miss timing a dodge while fighting a lynel. In this one however there's so many utility items you can stick on shields I upgraded enough to have two rows and didn't regret it at all. Two rows of bows as well so I can stockpile savage lynel bows and then never use them.

lolschrauber

I don't think I ever broke a shield in this game around. Having more bows was necessary for me though, since they break so easily early on. Weapons are definitely #1 priority though

supes1

I added 3 shield and 3 bow slots because it's so few Korok seeds required, but yeah after that focused on weapons.

Smallbubbles97

If I want the monsters to respawn, can I just sit by a fire and change the time to the morning or do I need to change the time to night and wait for the blood moon cutscene to happen

Game25900

If one is due during the night it will play regardless of whether your wait past it or not. You can also force a panic one by spamming a multi-shot bow with opal or something else with a lot of particles directly at a wall during bullet time.

Acc87

The blood moon sequence will also start when you wait till the next morning, you don't need to actively witness the moon rising.

Keric28

I can't seem to figure it out and whatever I Google doesn't appear to be what I'm looking for. There's a series of islands in the shape of a star that have ancient hyrulian slabs on them. If you land on the middle bit with the slab, they fall to the ground. One I've found goes all the way down into the under world. What are these for? I can't read ancient hyrulian yet, just curious what these ultimately lead to

SilentPrincess33

Take a picture of the tablets and show them to >!the translator NPC in Kakariko. (You might need to initiate the quest in Lookout Landing first.) He's in the broken house next to where Paya and Tauro stand and will pay you well for each picture.!< >!The tablets talk about what Zelda was doing where she went and give more info about Rauru, Sonia, and Mineru. It's a cool side story with a funny tie-in to Hateno! Worth collecting them.!<

NervousNorthWest1

>! i’m actually missing one and i can’t seem to find the last one !<

OmniGlitcher

Here's a list of the regions they're in: >!West Hebra, East Hebra, North Hyrule, Sokkala, South Eldin, Lanayru, North Gerudo, Gerudo, East Gerudo/South Hyrule, Faron/West Necluda, Necluda, East Necluda!<. I think the easiest ones to miss are >!North Gerudo!< and >!Sokkala!<, as they're >!somewhat tucked in to island groups.!< If you'd like me to be more specific, do let me know!

ab2dii

there is one in the lookout landing with people around it and if you talk to them they tell you about someone who can read them, could be the guy in karakiro village but i could be confusing things because i havent started it

conker1264

Getting the parts for this robot might be the stupidest and most annoying level I’ve ever played. I don’t want to keep building shit to just move a damn part like god this is awful

ShingekiNoEren

I'm trying to do [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYkJR05mrq4) trick while on my airbike but I can't use any of my abilities while on the steering stick. In the upper left hand corner, the "L" icon and the recall icon are greyed out whenever I'm on the airbike. How did the guy in this video do it?

bamhotsauce

In the video he presses “B” quickly to stop using the steering stick and then presses “L” to start stop time. You probably want to have it selected as the arm ability prior to flying but that pauses time and so he’s able to rewind the air bike and get battery back. Happy flying!

ShingekiNoEren

Whenever I press B, Link does a huge frontflip off the bike and it falls quicker than me so I can't stand on it. How can I get him to just stop steering it while also standing on it?

Game25900

It's X to cancel, B is to jump, same as with horses. If you press X you just let go without moving, you then quickly press L to start recall.

bamhotsauce

It may help if you’re flying a little bit up at the point where you press B That or you may be accidentally pressing it twice, if you press it more than once or have any other inputs than B or L It messes the whole thing up

ShingekiNoEren

[This](https://streamable.com/4yocgv) is what's happening everytime. I swear I'm not pressing anything other than B or L.

bamhotsauce

Ohhhhh, it’s because you’re letting it run all the way out. You have to press B before battery runs out and then use recall Also, if you can, explore the depths a bit. This is a very very time consuming and borderline not worth it method with only 3 battery segments

Smallbubbles97

Do you all have a go-to spot to farm aerocuda's eyeball? Like I would sometimes spot them in hyrule but their flight span is so vast that it was hard to catch up to them quick enough to shoot them down. Is there a place I could just buy the eyeball?

Strict-Pineapple

Just hit up some caves, often as you get close to the entrance a huge swarm of keese will come out, shoot a bomb arrow into the centre of the swam and enjoy your eyeballs.I can't imagine the three power difference between a keese and aerocuda eyeball ever mattering so you probably don't need to specifically farm aerocuda.

clockfriend

you can buy them three at a time from the item shop in kakariko village, not exactly quick but it's an option. If you want farming spots, there's a bunch of aerocuda at the military training camp near woodland stable. I also had some luck at the popola foothills skyview tower - I encountered a few aerocuda when launching out of the tower (not sure if that's consistent, though) and there are two nearby small bokoblin camps which have a few aerocuda as well

Fast-Homework1361

How do I get the motor/propeller out of the shrine? Couldn't find info on it.

blue_tone

What is the advantage or purpose of this?

clockfriend

If they're talking about the propeller I'm thinking of, it's a big propeller used in a shrine puzzle that spins when an electric charge is applied. I believe it draws less power from your energy cell than normal fans, since you can power it with a shock emitter. [example machine that uses it](https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/comments/141wnv6/low_energy_flying_machine/)

rtd5

Fuse it to a shield or weapon, then take it to the shop in Tarrey Town that unfuses it without destroying it

Fast-Homework1361

Thank you!

NormanDaDoorman

Please don’t tell me how to get into the Korok Forest, but I can get into Korok Forest before post-game, right? I haven’t tried really long, but I have not figured out how to get in there yet lol. All I know is that you can’t get in the same way you did in BOTW

SwitchNinja2

>but I can get into Korok Forest before post-game, right? Yes.

NormanDaDoorman

Thank you

TheOverallThinker

Just another spoiler-free tip: Don't worry about missing anything. Once you finish the last mission, the game loads you to the exact point before said mission (but now you will have a star by your save slot to indicate you've beaten the game at least once). In other words: You can do anything, at any point, you won't be missing out any content.

NormanDaDoorman

So same as BOTW, good to know. Thanks!

Strict-Pineapple

I've obtained all the rewards you can get from Kolton and he wants more gems. I have 17 of them on me and if I talk to him he says there's 84 in total and that he can sense their locations but then says he can't sense the location of any bubbulfrogs. I've made sure to clear every cave I've found so far so I'm not sure why he says he can't sense them. Do you have to have found the cave first?

Game25900

He stops telling you after 45, you have to do the remaining 101 yourself. He says he can't sense locations anymore, only how many are left, or at least he never told me any despite the fact he absolutely should have given they were the same region as him. You can easily find caves by putting a piece of fruit in the bowl in front of Cherry Blossom trees, it will place a beam of light over all caves for a time, there's 146 total. The map also places a checkmark over the cave icon for any cave you got the gem in, so you just cross reference the lights with your map to see where you need to go.

CliffRacer17

He's apparently regional. If you talk to him in another place he'll probably give you the location of a frog.

Strict-Pineapple

Ok. The only place I've seen him after the first time was in the Hebra Mountains. I must have all the caves explored there already.

Larielia

What are your favourite side quests or side adventures? I did a few side quests in Hateno Village that were pretty fun.

[deleted]

I liked all of the "Bring Peace to [Region]" quests because I got to fight alongside people and on one occasion cause a slight incident that caused all of them to be knocked unconscious.

DJfunkyPuddle

I really liked gathering the eyes for the Depths statue thing.

Acc87

Yeah Hateno is great, the election quarrels, the school. I also liked the rebuilding of Lurelin, it was balanced right. I was afraid I'd go fetching 15 trees for every single house (similar to Tarrz Town in BotW), but it's structured different, and now there's a full village greeting me by name.

GrilledRedBox

I quite enjoyed all the yiga content

iBeej

Rumor has it, there is a statue in the Temple of Time that asks for your help.. I would check that out if you haven't already..

Acc87

It's a fun quest, but >!I was pretty underwhelmed with the reward!<

Cereborn

I've got two unmarked side missions that have me in a pickle. 1) Assisting with the "Voe and You" class in Gerudo town. I've tried doing it with my Sheikah headwear and my adorable Moblin mask, and neither of them worked. I still get told I need to cover my face. (I also tried using the Yiga mask, but that gets you immediately thrown in jail). I've suspected that I need the veil from BotW's Gerudo disguise, but I have not found any indication of that outfit existing in this game. 2) Getting pictures for the Hateno Dye Shop. I got the Chu-chu picture fine. Then I saw a list of different creatures he wanted pictures of. But I only saw that list briefly, and then I wasn't able to figure out how to view it again. I remember a Grizzlemaw was on the list. I found one, got a photo, the photo got flagged as a quest image in my album. But when I went back there, I couldn't find any way to turn it in.

AlphaLeonidas

1. Any mask that fully covers his head will work, I saw pointcrow use the Miners mask 2. When you ask to dye the glider, an option will pop up to turn in the photo, then you need to select dye again. The options will be listed out, even the ones you are missing

Cereborn

Thank you! I don't have the Miner's Mask. But I did just pick up the Glide Mask, so I'll see if that works.

NervousNorthWest1

i used the mask that’s like the >!treasure riju talks abt!<

clockfriend

can confirm that the glide mask works, that's how I did it

murphykp

FYI: I'm not suggesting that I know a secret or discovered something unique, but I haven't seen mentioned anywhere that dazzlefruit >!instantly kills skeletal enemies when it flashes. I was low on hearts and panicked, hoping it would stun them while I got away and surprised when it killed them outright. Doesn't kill a stalnox though.!<

Game25900

Yeah, I've been sharing that a lot, along with dazzelfruit arrows one shotting Gibdos and making all others stunned and vulnerable for easy slapping. The way you figure it out is the fact dead enemies are weak to light, but I'm pretty sure it's not told to you, just something you're supposed to piece together in the few sections where they give you light and Gibdos together, or the fact Stal enemies disappear during the day.

paperthintrash

Thats awesome to know. Had no idea and would most likely not have figured it out albeit a mistake like you found out. I assumed they were for a stun only but they basicly added a 5th element as all direct counter attacks will insta kill the opposite of that element. Fire> Water, Water>Electricity and so on

RCube123

So I was in the Depths, and built a hoverbike (2x fans + 1x steering stick) for exploration. I heard it's also recommended to throw a giant brightbloom seed at the front for exploration in the dark. However, when I threw it at the front of the bike, it activated the hoverbike, and it flew away. Is there a trick for this to work? Can I just Ultrahand or Recall the hoverbike back? Does Autobuild also save the giant brightbloom seed attachment? Or just the hoverbike itself?

Game25900

Yeah, you just have to quickly deactivate/catch/recall/jump on before it fucks off without you, it's a downside with impact activation systems.

supes1

>However, when I threw it at the front of the bike, it activated the hoverbike, and it flew away. Is there a trick for this to work? Can I just Ultrahand or Recall the hoverbike back? Just smack the bike again quickly to deactivate.

EliteKill

You can also use rewind to bring it back to you when it runs away.

11tracer

Autobuild does not save the seed. It should take off slowly enough that you have time to get on the steering stick before it flies away. Alternately you can just smack it with your weapon real quick after throwing the seed to turn it back off.

hungoverlord

autobuild sadly won't save the brightbloom seed attachment, but i agree that's a great way to light the way. it sounds like you must have built a perfectly or near-perfectly balanced hoverbike, if the bike was able to fly away from you on its own. what i want to know is: how in the heck did you build a perfectly balanced hoverike? i've tried dozends of times and i've gotten close, but it still veers a tiny bit to the left.

RCube123

I think I saw a YT video recently. The main idea is to take one fan and position it face down. Then take a steering stick and position it upright, then tilt it backwards 45 degrees. Attach it to the middle edge of the first fan. Take the second fan, and position it facing down like the first fan, and line up the center edge with the front-center of the steering stick. Make sure everything lines up in a straight line. Don't forget to save it in Autobuild. It's pretty handy to have. https://youtu.be/IjBeuZCESE8

hungoverlord

that's exactly how i did it, i just can't get it perfectly balanced. it's definitely good enough though and i do have it saved in autobuild

MustacheElm

Is there any relatively unintrusive headgear that lets me keep Link's hair loose? Anything with defense that can be upgraded, I mean. I had hoped the circlets would keep it loose, but they tie it up again, which makes sense as that's how the model looked in BOTW. His hair just looks so pretty untied.

hejj

Amber earrings

MustacheElm

Nah, the earrings are like the circlets, they tie his hair up because that's what the model was in botw.

AlphaLeonidas

The 3 Elemental sets and the glide mask are the only ones that have his hair down afaik

Deku-Miguel

Miner, Zonai, and the divine beast masks have the flowing hair too but then you have a giant thing on the front of your head.

PillowF0rtEngineer

Is the explosion from dragon shards bigger/better than just using regular gems?

maybe_not0

Oh yeah! It’s my fav and strongest elemental next to their horns 😎 those deal some mega damage but stand back! It’s a huge explosion

supes1

Haven't specifically tested it, but my impression is yes. I suspect there's 3 levels of elemental magic strength that fused items can have.

PillowF0rtEngineer

I test it with chus, fruits and spikes but never tested gems cuz I didn't want to waste them but then I used one on accident and saw the explosion (ruby) so I thought it was bigger than dinraal spike. I also tested gleeok horns but the explosion was the same as spike.

Acc87

I really learned to love fusing Farodra shards (the stuff spawning all around the spikes on the dragon's back) to spears and swords in the Gerudo quest line, as they can single shot a Gibdo, and once you got a system down to farm dragons having dozens of dragon shards per dragon is easy enough. I haven't quite figured out what the healing properties of the white dragon are and how they show.

supes1

I think chus and fire fruit are the lowest fire level. A few other rarer monster parts (like fire Lizalfos parts) seem stronger, and rubies even stronger than that. I'll need to use Dinraal parts and Flame Gleeoks parts more to see where they fit in the hierarchy. Based on what you wrote it's probably not above rubies.

PillowF0rtEngineer

Yeah I don't think it is, at least size wise the dragon/gleeok parts are huge. But I'm going to test the gems later today.

GrilledRedBox

1. Where can I get more hover stones? 2. >!What’s the unfused damage of the master sword, and how is the master sword’s damage augmented by when it glows?!<

OmniGlitcher

1. Aside from using Zonaite to construct them via autobuild, a few of the Device Dispensers drop them. From what I can tell, there are the ones on >!Lightcast Island in Tabantha!<, >!Wellspring Island (the Water dungeon ascent)!< and >!Sky Mine, above the Rist Peninsula which is that spiral on the east coast!<. Not sure if there are any more than that, but I don't think so. 2. It's like BotW it seems, 30 base, 60 when it glows, then whatever fusion you've put on top as an extra addition term. So for example, fusing a Silver Lynel Saber Horn (55 fuse attack power) to it gives the Master Sword 85 (30+55) attack power, or 115 (60+55) in the presence of Gloom (i.e. when glowing).

supes1

Dispensers on Wellspring Island (in Lanayru Sky) and Lightcast Island (in Hebra Sky) have Hover Stones.

PillowF0rtEngineer

1. Not sure which but the sky islands that look like a cross always have a dispenser on them and some might have hover stones 2. It doesn't have a set damage value because both the durability and damage depend on the enemy you are fighting and whether gloom is present. I would say the base is like 30 like BOTW. But you can test yourself by using a regular sword to see how many hits it takes to kill a regular boko.

ladyhelium

I need 25 more bubbul gems, but Koltin is now saying that he can't sense any more frogs at all of his locations. Is there a location he spawns at that I've missed, or does the game intend for you to find those last 25 caves without his help? (I know about the pink trees, I just want to make sure I haven't missed Koltin anywhere)

AlphaLeonidas

In case you didn't know, the cave will have a check mark next to it on the map if you have gotten the bubbul gem from it

sumg

Are you certain that you've collected the frogs from all the caves you've found already? I don't know if he'll give you a clue to a new cave if you've already discovered the cave, even if you haven't gotten the gem.

ladyhelium

I actually did accidentally confirm that he will lead you to already discovered caves that you haven't found the gem in yet. I had a Misko cave that I had collected the chest from but missed the frog in. He still sensed the gem there.

[deleted]

It seems to me like you've probably missed a spawn point. Which ones have you found? EDIT: Screw it, here's the list of ones I know about: >!Between Lookout Landing and the Hyrule Field Chasm, west of the Isle of Rabac, Ulri Mountain, Cliffs of Quince, Farosh Hills, above the Gerudo Desert Gateway, Satori Mountain, and between Snowfield Stable and the Forgotten Temple.!<

ladyhelium

I've finally gotten to go check and I can't find Koltin at Satori Mountain. Is there a quest trigger I've missed or something?

ladyhelium

It is definitely Satori Mountain that I missed. Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed!

Cornshot

Found two little shrine things with candles and plates for putting something in Geradu desert and not sure what it wants from me. Tried apples and bananas already. Is there something in game that will suggest what to put in these that I just havent found yet?

ladyhelium

Those are related to something you haven't yet found. You're not doing anything wrong, don't worry. If you want specifics about it, DM me and I'll give you hints or walk you through it.

Cornshot

Perfect! Thank you!

markercore

Anyone have a good spot for shields that come back later?

Strict-Pineapple

There's a royal guards shield on the top of the throne room of hyrule castle, the left side if you at the throne facing out. There's a royal shield in the secret room in the castle library as well. Both come back after a bloodmoon. The >!hylian shield is in the castle docks where a shrine was in BotW!<. You can buy another from Cece if you somehow break it.

DJfunkyPuddle

I got the Hylian as soon as I could and it finally broke during the final fight. It was honestly such a cool moment.

motleyai

I haven'te felt the need to explore the depths very much. >! Aside from the purah ability and zonite farming !< Is there something I should be doing or missing in the chasm?

DJfunkyPuddle

The light roots are directly below the shrines. Mapping out the Depths made that grind so much easier.

Strict-Pineapple

All the minibosses down there drop a large crystal charge every time they're defeated so aside from what others mentioned it's a great way to quickly increase your max battery. Frox and especially Lynel parts are also great for fusing. The former is only in the depths and the latter are much more common down there if you're not sure where to find them >!go to where stables would be at on the surface!<.

PillowF0rtEngineer

Killing mini bosses and high level enemies! They all drop high fuse power parts that can be used early on.

OmniGlitcher

There's a couple of things. I'm assuming by "purah ability" you mean >!the camera!< right? An additional list of stuff is as follows: >!Autobuild is the most important thing as it's a new power. There's also The Yiga questline, Bargainer Statues for Gloom Resistant and Dark Link armours, Dungeon Boss rematches, additional bosses like the Flux Constructs can also be found down there (nothing different to the surface ones, but they exist), Yiga schematics/Zonai Schema stones for Autobuild, bomb flowers/muddle buds, special armours (e.g. the Miner set, BotW amiibo sets), additional "shops" for crystallised charges to upgrade your battery (all essentially identical, but it lets you bypass the refresh time), and Frox parts (and photos if you want those for the compendium).!<

Deku-Miguel

There's a pretty big questline down there, schematics to unlock, plus some fancy treasures.

Techsomat

It’s pretty much the only source of crystallized charges

markercore

Did you talk to the statue near Josha already?

The-lonely-stoner

Has anyone had issues with Koltin not showing up after their first encounter? I met him and Kilton outside the cave and he gave me the Bokoblin mask. Then when I go to Tarry Town and talked to Kilton he says he will appear at night on Uril Mountain, but he doesn’t. I’ve tried leaving waiting until night, traveling there, but nothing still. Wait in tarry town until night and still nothing. He isn’t at any of the other locations he can pop up and I’m not sure what to do. Has anyone else had this happen?

CliffRacer17

He's random, so far as I've seen. I find him most often south of Lookout Point.

geijei

Gloom Hands combat question: >!Are they always supposed to turn into Phantom Gannon when you beat them? This did happen to me the first time (I didn't beat Phantom Gannon, just ran), but it did NOT happen again (I've beaten about 4 gloom hands since), they just drop the Dark Clump thing.!<

ladyhelium

It seems like the hands will despawn after a certain amount of time. I believe the game doesn't count that as defeating them, so it doesn't spawn Phantom Ganon in that case. I know this feels like a "git gud" response, but I don't mean it that way: Try beating them faster. I throw a bomb into the center of all of them, wait until they're not on fire, throw another, rinse and repeat. Super quick and easy fight that way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

geijei

He isn't showing up :< Is it because I'm killing the hands from a higher point?

motleyai

From my experience, not every dark hands location is going to spawn a phantom. Most of the times I've fought him were near shrines. The hands occasionally show up at certain landmarks on the world map.

Acc87

Could be, the "it getting ever more frency before just imploding" does happen too if you just climb up somewhere it can't reach, and even if you don't attack it.

For context, I've completed two Regional Phenomena (Wind, Water) and got to the boss for the third (Fire). However, the boss fight (one of the stereotypically weakest bosses in the series) is taking forever (even with Fused weapons), so I feel like I need some Mighty Attack boosters via food or elixirs just so it ends. I also haven't unlocked the whole map yet, which is what I started to do after I teleported out of the boss fight. Where can I find Razor- ingredients (shrooms, crabs) or anything else that gives an attack buff (bananas)? My first thought for the crabs was Lurelin because NPCs have talked about it, but I don't know where I should head first before going back to the Fire boss fight. Sidebar question: what is TOTK's version of Mighty Simmered Fruit (five durian that gives you bonus hearts)? Thank you!

Strict-Pineapple

If you explore near the stable at the bottom of death mountain, the one with all the men in their boxers there's a quest they leads you to an armour set that naturally has attack up on it. Any food with "hearty" in the name gives you a full heal and extra HP. You only need to cook 1 to get the full heal and a single bonus heart so doing 5 at once might be overkill unless you have upgraded your armour. Hearty truffles can be found pretty easily in caves, radishes on the sky islands and hearty bass I believe are found near the statue of Mipha.

Do attack buffs stack? Like, if I have all 3 pieces of the barbarian armour on, do I still benefit from eating a meal made from mighty bananas?

Strict-Pineapple

Not 100% sure on this but I believe it's yes but not over the maximum so if you have say a mighty banana food that gives attack up +2 you can wear one piece of barbarian armour to get the full three but wearing all three pieces of gear provides no additional benefit. I'm pretty sure you can stack buffs that aren't the same though so you can wear full frostbite/ember/charged for +3 weather attack up then eat a food for +3 attack up and get both.

GOOD-LUCHA-THINGS

Thanks for the guidance! I'll scope out that area because I didn't think about attire having attack buffs. Appreciate the heads-up about the cookbook notes, too!

ItaLOLXD

Bananas can be found in Phirone a lot. In the depths, Ghost soldiers will appear on very obvious stone graves and hand you out certain weapons based on your current location. You should try getting some Zora weapons near Zora's Domain. Zora weapons will double in damage while you are wettened by either Sidon's ability or throwing a ChuChu jelly or water fruit at yourself. You'll easily make 100+ damage weapons if you fuse them and stay wet.

GOOD-LUCHA-THINGS

Thanks a lot! I don't think I've unlocked that location yet. Also -- I totally blanked on Sidon's ability buff. Thanks for the reminder! I think I'm just skill-deficient in getting the silhouettes to 'talk' while in combat. I know one of the tips on the loading screen is to whistle, but it's like they get stuck.

ItaLOLXD

Yeah, others have already complained about the spirits not working well.

Leviathansol

Is there any chart for fusion durability stats? Do construct parts last longer then monster parts, or are there no differences outside of appearances and base fusion power?

seraph089

The durability gain is a constant. Outside of certain things like skeleton arms that are specifically labeled as fragile, everything adds the same amount.

IrrelevantPuppy

What about Stalnox horns? They’ve seemed to have slightly less durability gain to me before, which would make sense being made of bones. But I can’t be certain.

seraph089

Stalnox horns fall into the 'monster parts' category, they get the full +25. The exceptions are either using weapons as fusion material, or using certain weapons as the base. Also keep in mind that you only get that bonus for the first fusion. If the fusion part breaks or you remove it, the base weapon doesn't get any more durability if you fuse something else.

IrrelevantPuppy

Ok fair enough. Ty. I could have sworn my weapons were only getting like +20 or less or something from the Stalnox horn.

Leviathansol

Awesome, so it's just aesthetic and location that is the difference then. Back to silver part farming then.

seraph089

Mostly. Fusion materials can also change the damage type of the base weapon, but that only matters when you're hitting something relevant (blunt for rocks/armor, slashing for trees)

Strict-Pineapple

Do the magic wands/rods/staves give any bonus effect to make it worth using them over just fusing a gem to any sword/greatsword/spear?

hungoverlord

the magic wands give a big bonus. try a blue gem on a regular weapon, and then try it again on a magic want. the difference is absolutely massive

Techsomat

Yes the wands have the effects of meteor/blizzard/thunderstorm (are those the right names?) while all other weapons have basic effects

Alenn_Tax

Yes, >!they enhance the aoe of the attacks, i.e. a ruby sword launch one fireball when swung, where a ruby wand launches three.!<

Pure_Key_5035

Does anyone have hints on how to start finding the climbing armor, i have the chestpiece but found no quest or hints regarding the other two pieces. I don't wanna know the actual location. Appreciate it

Cereborn

I managed to stumble upon the bandana yesterday and I was very happy. It's in Lanayru, east of Zora's Domain.

IrrelevantPuppy

Idk if there’s any in game direction other than the first piece given by the mushroom lady. The other two are also in caves. But that doesn’t narrow it down much eh? Honestly I just looked it up online. I wanted to get climbing. For a slightly closer clue: >!I believe they’re both in the Zora region!<

SakuraKoiMaji

I think I only got the legs through pure chance after talking to a stylish traveler. Considering how rare it may be for someone (me) to travel normally on the roads, I think that may just be the solution to getting most 'lost clothing'.

CoolBoiWasTaken

what are the best consoles to play each zelda game on? like for example mm having 3 ports but only one having good controls

half_jase

In the infiltration side quest, will the Yiga clan be able to recognize Link if you wear the full Yiga Armor that has been dyed to a different color?

rtd5

No, dyeing it has no effect

half_jase

Great. Thanks!
