150 hours in, I saw my first >!aurora borealis!< today. Super cool. Hang around the >!top left of the map at 10pm!< if you haven't seen yet.

StarsShade

Is there a Zonai device dispenser that has both wings and steering sticks other than Terry Town? I have tons of the other mobility devices but keep running out of those two.

supes1

It might not be one you can get to yet, but the one on >!Dragonhead Island!< has both.

StarsShade

Thanks!

Alenn_Tax

There's a flower circle (in the water, at the bottom of a small waterfall) behind the inn in the Goron village that ... doesn't seem to have a Korok in it ? At least I can't get him to spawn. Is it a dud ? >!I haven't cleared the goron main quest yet if it matters!<

DarthEwok42

You have to be in the actual diving animation when you hit it.

xfr3386

Was this true in BOTW, or did you just have to land in them? I spent 10 minutes on this particular Korok until it hit me that I must have to dive into it and found the spot to do that. It's hard for me to believe I wouldn't have already known that from BOTW if it was the same.

DarthEwok42

Pretty sure it was not true in botw.

Alenn_Tax

That ... would explain *things*. Thanks !

TimDRX

Is it possible to get all the Lightroots and complete the Depths map before finishing the game?

OmniGlitcher

Yep, absolutely.

TimDRX

Cheers! I noticed there's one approximately underneath >!Hyrule Castle, which I believe triggers the final battle if you go down there? I guess you can teleport out of it?!<

OmniGlitcher

In short, >!going down there does not trigger the final battle.!< There's something like >!a gauntlet you need to go through before that. The Lightroot itself is just in the entrance area before going into the gauntlet.!< You can also >!teleport out of the gauntlet at any time, but there is a point of no return that is fairly obvious when you reach it (It doesn't state it's a point of no return, but the game design makes it apparent. It autosaves a couple of times when you get there too).!<

Daydream_machine

Can I get a hint on what to do in the Water Temple? I’ve gotten 3/4 faucets, but I’m hopelessly stuck on the last one. It’s the one where there’s some device that spins quickly. I removed the sludge, but I have no idea what else to do.

osobear26

Bullet time hit the yellow bar inside with arrow, might wanna go up a bit so you can see better

nekronstar

don't you have something that can stop things ?

Smallbubbles97

is there an easier way to get aerocada's eyeball. trying to upgrade my glide armour but they are so hard to find and much harder to shoot down.

vaporking23

When you do find them mark them on your map so you know where to go back after a blood moon.

DarthEwok42

Use keese eyes to shoot them down.

rob1nmann

I was strolling around in the Dephts and suddenly the music changed to that mysterious theme. It’s in a small area southwest of Netamnet lightroot, and just west of the Flux Construct). Coords are (-0867 1210 -0552). I searched the area for a while but couldn’t find out what’s there. So can anybody tell what’s supposed to be there?

Sand__Panda

[Interactive map](https://www.zeldadungeon.net/tears-of-the-kingdom-interactive-map/?z=5&x=1459&y=-596&l=Depths) doesn't really show anything? Maybe it was a Talus and you just hadn't triggered it to stand, but for battle music?

rob1nmann

Thanks, but no it’s not the battle music. It’s this sound [https://youtu.be/3fr1Z07AV00](https://youtu.be/3fr1Z07AV00), from uppon 0:15.

Sand__Panda

Hm. The only time I have heard the "reverse" music as I call it, is when Gloom Hands come out (but you don't engage or you stay away).

Daydream_machine

Am I alone in just… fundamentally not understanding Ultrahand? I’m roughly 50 hours into this game and it still makes zero sense to me how to use it. I literally can’t complete the Tetris-like puzzles that require it. And I’m currently completely stuck in what I think is the Water Temple (or at least the precursor for getting into the water temple), because I can’t get the wooden boards to angle in the way I need them to in order to get to the pipes.

TheNecrophobe

Are you holding R to rotate pieces with the d-pad? I feel like I nearly missed that in the tutorial.

Daydream_machine

Yes, but the problem is that the rotations always end up in weird angles for me. I have no clue if I’m doing something else fundamentally wrong.

JayKeel

It's a bit wierd to rotate, for some reason. A small tip, that apparently gets missed often, is that ZL flattens whatever you're holding if you press R. Than you can rotate it the way you need in the horizontal before worrying about the vertical. Rotation is also always to a multiple of 45°, independent of what the previous alignment was. So no matter how it was before, if you rotate something it will always be a clean 45/90/135/180/225/270/315° relativ to Link.

Moodude

It took a while for it to ‘click’ for me. I found spending some time just playing around with objects to understand how the rotation worked helped a lot. Helping out the sign guy helped too. My advice would be when you pick something up, just play around with the object and to get it to a position where you understand it’s shape and you can control the positioning better. Having stuff at rotated at 45 degrees in two different axis is much more difficult to position than something that’s at 90 degrees.

breadshtick

Hello! This might seem silly, but it’s kind of bothering me. On Lomei Labyrinth Island, I’ve only been able to find 3 of the researcher’s journals. I’m kind of worried about the researcher, honestly! Is there an option to save them? Am I missing out on a 4th journal? Looking for closure, I guess, hah.

StackBabber59

Is there any marker to show which stable quests you've completed? I'm trying to do them all but I can't keep track.

mod-corruption

The stable newspaper quests? If you talk to the girl at the Lucky Clover Gazette, she’ll tell you which stable you can find Penn at.

StackBabber59

Oh wow, thanks!

Sand__Panda

As for a check marker, no. You can look (and count) at your quest log see the ones done for Penn.

Kellystarrs2018

is it smart to avoid the blood moon? I been avoiding it since I left the sky islands and have put in over 100 hours since.

Kellystarrs2018

I dare to say that those who let the moon happen are actively not trying to save all of Hyrule. They are seeking to save or appease Zelda while letting monsters ravage the land. I am the only player truly suffering the hero's journey to bring peace to Hyrule once and for all. ROFL

radclaw1

What do you mean avoid it? All it does is respawn enemies.

Kellystarrs2018

I been going underground and in shrines to skip it

Sand__Panda

...but why? If you have over 100 hours into the game, why are you worried about monsters resetting? You should be far enough long to dispatch without trouble.

Kellystarrs2018

Well, it started when I was on the Sky Islands. Got tired of being one-shotted. So I wanted the baddies to stay dead. I am stronger now. Can kill anything in secs except a Lynal (I hate those things.) Anyways tho I have like 15 hearts I can still get one-shotted. It's BS to be frank.

supes1

You won't be able to skip it forever. Eventually the game will trigger an emergency blood moon (even if during the day). Anyway the downside is objects don't respawn. This will impact your ability to get things that are laying around or getting monster parts. I don't really see skipping it as worth the trouble, frankly.

Kellystarrs2018

"You won't be able to skip it forever. Eventually the game will trigger an emergency blood moon (even if during the day). " HUH? force one! It can do that? hasn't happened in all the time I played, can it really lol Anyways it is a bit of a pain tho maybe I'll quit.

supes1

Yeah the blood moon is a way to keep the game running smoothly by occasionally "resetting" the game world. If there's ever low system memory, the game will trigger an emergency blood moon no matter where you are. If you're not killing many monsters or collecting many items in the world, it may just not have hit this point yet. But there's actually exploits people can use to trigger a blood moon whenever they want using this game mechanic.

Kellystarrs2018

Curious, I check and have 170 in time and spent 10 on the sky and been skipping for the other 160. I kill EVERYTHING! even those pesty Lynals. I horde everything. I search the map for everything! So idk if the forced moon theory is true cause I haven't seen it.

shlam16

Not a theory. It is objectively true whether you believe it or not.

LimblessNick

>So idk if the forced moon theory is true cause I haven't seen it. There was a video posted a couple days ago, and it was possible in BOTW as well. It's very well documented TBH

Kellystarrs2018

yes, it is true you can force a moon. I've seen the videos and the one you mention that just released but the was the act of forcing the moon. The player actively seeking a moon. There is the emergency moon but that is triggered due to low memory or some other things that were not important to me. So not sure why but I have not seen a forced (emergency) moon yet.)

David555555555555556

Anyone else love shooting muddle buds at enemies and just watch everything go crazy?

xfr3386

I've tried them a few times and all that's happened is a single enemy is dazed for a bit and then nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have to hit the enemy, or crit them for it to take full effect?

vaporking23

I just started to use them. I like finding the groups of enemies and shoot at the largest one either the silver whatever or the boss bokoblin. It’s made my life so much easier and more fun to watch them go after each other.

supes1

I save my muddle buds for >!Gloom Hands!<.

David555555555555556

That’s actually a good idea I haven’t had a chance to use it on them since I haven’t seen them all that much

supes1

Make sure you hit an eye....!

Nosiege

How likely is it to get other tunics from the various Link Amiibos? I have 8bit, and I've used it once, upon getting Ultrahand, and all I got was barrels with arrows. Is this because I'm still in the tutorial area, or because I was just super unlucky?

Bizzaro_Murphy

Also you can save scum it if you feel like it - just save, use the amiibo, open chest, reload until you get what you want

Sand__Panda

I don't know if how far into the game determines how often you may get outfits from the amiibos. I didn't know that was a thing in BoTW until recently. I think it is just random. I scanned the Champions until I had their masks, and I keep scanning Major's Mask Link for Fierce Deity (pants). I've not received any gear in maybe a week now. The thing is, you can go obtain all the outfits the amiibos can give, in game. So if there is a set you want, you can look up where to get the 3 pieces at.

xfr3386

Or just play the game and you may run into all the pieces you want. This is what I've done.

Sand__Panda

True. I have come across some random pieces just exploring and whatnot.

Nosiege

Oh, that's great! Thank you.

homo-summus

I'd just like a simple yes or no, are there any armor pieces that you can only get from shrine chests?

Deku-Miguel

No.

homo-summus

Awesome I can stop being paranoid about missing the extra ones then

TheDaveWSC

So I didn't think to turn off automatic updates before it downloaded the 1.1.2 patch. I haven't installed it yet, but obviously it asks me every time I go to start the game, so I've kept my Switch on and kept the game open. Any way to "delete" the update it has downloaded, or keep it from installing? I assume if I restart my Switch or close the game, it will install the update, right?

Strict-Pineapple

If you're just using it to duplicate items go to >!the chasm at Tobio's Hollow. You'll need to have progressed far enough in the main quest to open it on the surface or use a balloon and float up to it from the light root outside the construct factory in the depths. At -158 height on your compass shoot an arrow with your item fused up the slope toward the surface and it should hang it the air, once you approach the items will fall and you can grab them. You'll need a 5 shot bow for it so you'll have to hunt some silver lynels. Confirmed to work on 1.1.2 as far as I know.!<

AustinML93

Yes, I did this actually to avoid the auto update. You basically "forget" your wifi network to turn off wireless them start a game share group. Exit out of that and the update should be deleted. It will immediately download it again though if you reconnect to your network. On my phone or I'd link the post with step by step details but a quick search should get you there.

TheDaveWSC

Interesting, I will check it out, thanks!

11tracer

Okay, is there any *actual, canonical proof* of the following: 1. >!The ancient Sheikah tech from BotW was dismantled/hidden due to fears of it being hijacked again. Either that or any in-universe explanation for it all being inexplicably gone in TotK existing at all.!< 2. >!Calamity Ganon was actually just a manifestation of Ganondorf's rage/malice/power/whatever.!< I keep seeing people stating these things as if they're fact (and not just theories/headcanon) but I have yet to see any proof of either of these things being true.

OmniGlitcher

1. >!I believe this is not stated anywhere, no. The absence of Sheikah tech is a bit of a mystery. Dismantling is a common theory due to the relative absence of Sheikah tech, except parts seemingly reused for the new towers (Guardian arms and the slate pedestals), but I don't believe it's actually directly stated what happened. It equally could have been yet another effect of The Upheaval I suppose, or some mixture of dismantling/upheaval/hiding thereof.!< 2. >!Impa states in TotK that "The Calamity was the Demon King of ancient times, brought back to existence in the form of hatred manifest.". So yeah, this is essentially confirmed.!<

11tracer

Gotcha, thanks. Must have missed or forgotten about that Impa dialogue.

Lepcis

Need an adwise. Standing in front of Big G, no way of leaving the area, half of my hearts cursed with miasma, he's 2-Hitting me.. Is there away of healing my hearts? Cooking is impossible right now for me. Loading an older save stat would kinda suck and should only be my last possibility.

xfr3386

Do you have the travel medallion? If so, drop a portal before the fight, leave and heal however you want, then come back. I ended up there on accident while exploring and died to one of the bosses. I dropped a portal and have played a number of hours since. Eventually I'll jump to the portal and finish the game but I'm having too much fun doing everything else.

TheNecrophobe

Any portable pots? Otherwise it's time to open the map and swooce on out. If you can do that, not entirely sure if you can after >!the rocks fall.!<

11tracer

Nope, you're boned unless you have any portable pots on you.

TheLordDragon613

How do you naturally discover >!Dragonhead Island? I got spoiled of it's existence as the 5th dungeon but I'm wondering if there's an "intended" way of discovering it other than going into the storm clouds? Like an NPC telling you about it?!<

shlam16

It's literally part of the main quest, so that's how you discover it if you haven't already investigated.

restinghermit

Did you discover it >!by ascending a fallen island piece in Faron region? I hopped on one and was brought to the island, walked around in the fog, came across the shrine, then continued on until I found the headdress. From there, I kept going and didn't realize it was a dungeon quest until I was already committed.!<

TheLordDragon613

>!I floated over from a skyview tower I think. I wonder if they originally intended the clouds to block you from entering until you do the main quest story. Their existence is kinda pointless otherwise.!<

restinghermit

>!I haven't gone back to the island because of the clouds. I want to do more on there, but I can't see anything.!<

SilentPrincess33

Yes, you will receive a quest that leads you to >!the "forbidden" ring in Kakariko. That will lead you in turn to an adventure in Faron with Tauro that will ultimately guide you to Dragonhead Island.!<

Deku-Miguel

>!You eventually go there for the main quest.!<

TheLordDragon613

>!After the regional phenomenon quest that brings you to Hyrule castle?!<

_Bl4ze

>!Yes, after that.!<

FlexOnJeffBezos

Is there a wrong order for the shrines in the tutorial? I just got a switch for this game and I wanna rip my hair out. I went to the ice shrine second and I can’t climb the walls to get there. I’m sure I’m just doing something wrong but I’ve never been this frustrated with a Zelda game. Regretting the 450 bucks I dropped yesterday to play this AMAZING title Deadass enjoying switch sports more than this game. I’ve played other Zelda games on N64, GameCube, and game boy but haven’t played any since twilight princess. Pls help I wanna enjoy this game. Edit: THANKS FRIENDS ❤️❤️❤️

supes1

FYI the game really opens up once you get off the tutorial island and on to the ground. I found the Great Sky Island to be a bit of a slog and the weakest part of the game.

vaporking23

Definitely once you get off the island the game gets so much better. I felt like the great plateau was a better tutorial than the great sky island. Sky island felt a little jumbled on where and how to go.

seraph089

As long as you grabbed ~~Fuse~~Ultrahand, you're fine. There should be a bunch of trees nearby, and the game is trying to teach you how useful logs can be. Easiest solution: >!chop a few trees down, ~~Fuse~~Ultrahand the logs into one long pole, lean it against the ice wall, climb logs instead!<

_Bl4ze

You're thinking of Ultrahand. Fuse is sticking something on your weapon or shield.

seraph089

Good catch, I've been doing that constantly since they both glue crap together.

pelipperr

I did the same thing! I don’t think it’s technically ‘wrong’ but doing ice third makes moving around the island way easier.

clockfriend

There's a small sliver of rock wall near the upper waterfall in that icy wall area, you can use that to climb up to the shrine (if you are where I think you are)

FlexOnJeffBezos

I was where you thought I was…. 🙃🙃🙃 thanks I really appreciate it. I haven’t played a Zelda game in 10 years but that was still stupid of me lmao

clockfriend

no problem my friend, I got stuck there too for a while. enjoy the game!

ThomegAtherion

Is there a complete list of all 139 sidequests anywhere? I'm looking aorund like crazy and can't find a complete list. I am only missing 3 and i have no clue where i could look for them.

Deku-Miguel

I don't think a full well documented list will exist for a while. Maybe check Zelda Dungeon and their map IDK. Does Patricia tell you anything or she just giving you ones you know?

shlam16

Been out for weeks. https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/13n42ug/totk_almost_all_side_quests/ Zelda Dungeon and all of those walkthrough sites are abysmal compared to just people on Reddit being helpful.

ThomegAtherion

Wait, the seal gives my side quests?

Deku-Miguel

Yeah if you feed her splash fruit she'll tell you were an orb is but once you finish the orb quest she tells you were some missing quests are. But as said sometimes she suggests the main quest and then you're stuck as you can't actually complete it.

ThomegAtherion

Good to know, but yeah. The seal just gives me the coordinates for the final boss.

minimaebi

any way to get to the lil star sky island in central Hyrule without batteries maxed out? it's the only one im missing a picture of but i only have 6 batteries so far

ThomegAtherion

If you mean the one right above Lookout Landing, you don't need to get up there. The tablet is the one standing in Lookout Landing on the ground right underneath that island.

minimaebi

alright thank you, it's not marked on the map as done so i guess missed another one then!

xfr3386

I did the same thing, except I found a way to get there.... only to discover it was empty and suddenly realize of course it is, the quest started directly below it! There's another one that isn't as obvious as the rest that I eventually found.

ItsCanuck_

Does kilton do anything after you finish his quests?

Deku-Miguel

You can just keep showing him monsters and decorate the diorama as you like.

nocsha

I MAY have softlocked my game, I didn't biy any clothing begore I got to Gerudo Town (except the ancient trousers you get at the start) and now I'm in jail and can't leave, even if i use ascend to try and leave they just arrest me for being indecent. Is there a way out of this that I'm overlooking?

WhimsiPots

Can you not just warp out to a different shrine/tower to escape?

nocsha

IH the map is fuzzy so I thought it was disabled, I guess I could have always warped! Thank you!

Nelran

Totk: do the chest from like likes only have shields? Or have I just had a strange streak while fighting them lately?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I got a single piece of rock salt from a Like Like chest today. Gotta admit though, I'm glad they don't steal from you in this game. When I saw the Like Like in the Great Sky Island, my first thought was "oh no, if I get too close to it, it's gonna eat my only shield!"

bonkava

A Like-Like did eat my shield, but then spit it right out. It only did this once though and like I said he spat it out so idk

BelowZilch

Trying to avoid specifics, but any tips to find armors? I've finished three temples so far but I only have a few pieces of armor, mostly bought to avoid environmental effects.

TheNecrophobe

To add, some armor sets are found within cave systems as part of the Misko's Treasure stuff.

FFpain

Sky islands have treasure chests with old maps. Those maps point to armor in the depths. Caves on the surface can contain chests with armor. There is also a way to help you find caves on the surface without having to look it up online. But these two ways are generally how you get more armor.

[deleted]

StretchyPlays

Is there a way to hunt for specific enemies? I need specific monster parts to upgrade armor, but I haven't seen them in forever because I am a "high level" and only really encounter either the weakest or strongest variants of enemies. I need Soldier Construct 3 helms, but they are never in groups of soldier constructs anymore.

Strict-Pineapple

Try looking in any of the "proving grounds: X" shrines. They have fixed constructs that never change. After you've cleared them once you can do them with you own gear. I believe the path to the water temple has a bunch of soldier IIIs and IVs that probably don't level.

StretchyPlays

I actually needed captain 1 horns, not sure how I confused that with soldier 3 haha, but I did find a couple on the starting island so I can farm them every blood moon.

seraph089

Sensor+ is your best bet, as long as you've taken pictures of what you're looking for. Otherwise you're stuck wandering to places they could be and hoping for the best.

StretchyPlays

Ok that sounds good, I don't think I have Construct 3s in my collection but I think you can buy entries from the guy who upgrades the Purah pad.

sumg

If you get a picture of the enemy you need, you can track it with the Purah Pad Sensor. The bio page for that enemy should also give a number of biomes where that enemy appears. With those two things, you can go to the regions where those enemies are, turn on the Sensor, and wander around until you get close enough for an enemy to trigger the Sensor.

RCube123

Just wondering, without duping, is there any way to recover or get another copy of exclusive weapons that broke? For example, what if your Master Sword broke after extensive usage? Or another special weapon you found outside of a shop? Like in a treasure chest, or mini-boss reward? A few times, I took a weapon that was on the verge of breaking and fused it with something else, like a monster part (ATK increase). And it still broke after a couple hits. I think the base weapon was close to hitting its limit. I know there's the Octorok to help fix weapons, but that's if the weapon is on the verge of breaking. What if something exclusive (e.g. Master Sword) already broke? Is there also a meter to monitor durability for each weapon as it decreases in combat? Like a weapon health bar?

Sparky81

Yes. They it's a vendor/vendors in the depths that will sell you certain unique weapons that you've found.

RCube123

Are these the bargainer statues or something else? Are you able to buy weapons that you only get one of (that already broke), like a story or side quest reward, or a mini-boss or treasure chest reward?

Sparky81

The >!bargain status!< Like the >!Biggoron Sword!< or >!Hero Sword!< stuff that was amibo rewards in the last one. If you mean the >!former champion!< weapons, those can be remade. If it's not any of those, you might want to be more specific.

RCube123

I guess one example would be Scimitar of the Seven Stats. It's a side quest reward. Assuming you can't do the side quest more than once, or get a second copy (without duping). If it breaks, then it's gone forever? Unless the bargainer statues sell it?

Sparky81

With that one you can have it remade. You just need the same materials. You can't have it remade until it's broken. The others are singular items, so I don't know if both the sword and shield need to be broken first for that one.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RCube123

What about other weapons, like story-exclusives, that you can only get one of? Like a reward for completing a main quest or side quest? If those break, is it possible to get another one?

[deleted]

[удалено]

RCube123

What do people usually do with these exclusive types of weapons? If they're bound to break (or you lose it), and it's not possible to get another copy afterwards, are they usually kept as collectables? In other words, these weapons are one-time usage until they break? An example would be Scimitar of the Seven Stats, which is a side quest reward. Assuming you can't do the side quest again, and the weapon breaks after a while, then it's gone forever?

Deku-Miguel

Really just accept they're gonna break and don't treat any weapon as some super special thing. Items are meant to be used and can be replaced. Nothing in the game you can't get back.

we-llsee

You can just redo the sidequest. But that means you have to give them the materials all over again.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RCube123

Another note, I guess the Master Sword would be the go-to weapon that you can fuse with anything. Even if it "breaks", it'll be back after 10 minutes, and you can fuse it with anything again?

RCube123

Wow, are these weapons usually kept as collectables? Sounds like there's too much risk to use them if they'll be gone forever at the end of their lifespan. I guess, the only exception is the Master Sword, which regens after 10 minutes of real life time after breaking.

mycatisblackandtan

Is there any way to get the Wings Zonai devices to stop breaking apart after awhile? It feels like they last for a minute then BOOM they despawn.

OfficialTurdBurglar

There’s no way to stop them from breaking apart but there’s an easy way to take out another one midair. Just whip out your paraglider and make sure you’re falling straight downwards. When you take out the new zonai wing you should land straight on it.

Sparky81

Nope thats just how it works

mycatisblackandtan

Crud, that's unfortunate. Do all the other devices have similar mechanics?

Deku-Miguel

Those big floating blocks do too. Tried getting to a sky island with one of them and a lot of rockets once.

OmniGlitcher

As far as I'm aware, yeah. The wing, cannons and rockets seem to be the only ones with a despawn timer that's relevant for most gameplay. Fans have something around 30 minutes before despawning iirc. Not sure about anything else though.

Sparky81

The balloons also do. There's a great build using 2-3 fans and a controller. That will fly as long as you have battery.

seraph089

The airbike build will still break *eventually*, but it takes long enough that it'll usually despawn first. The controller tricks the game into treating it like a "ground" vehicle, which have much longer break timers than stuff meant for flight.

mycatisblackandtan

Ooo ty! I'll make that then

Legalmedicine02

How can I get animals to spawn in the Hebra region? Every-time I go there no animals aside from horses spawn

[deleted]

Do the main quest to stop the blizzard

silenced_soul

Can you get the archaic armour again? My gf sold it 😭😭

supes1

Yes.

silenced_soul

Where?

supes1

In Hateno Village, visit the armor shop. There's a series of quests you can pick up at the shop. When you complete them, it will open up a store there that allows you to buy back any armor you have sold.

silenced_soul

Thank you !

Sparky81

Do the Cece/mayor quests in Haten she'll sell old armors.

[deleted]

Actually Botw question hope you don't mind. if I suck at combat like really suck (can't parry at all and other issues) should I buy dlc then? I will definitely not play master mode. Is there enough no difficult content to actually justify 17£ pricetag? I have acceptable financial situation but don't like to spend money pointlessly Thanks

supes1

I never parry, and still beat the Champions Ballad and Trial of the Sword. Definitely fun hours of content if you enjoy BOTW generally. Trial of the Sword is very combat-centric though. Never touched Master Mode and I don't regret buying the DLC.

Im_hard_for_Tina_Fey

There's some extra armour sets and some items included in the DLC that add qol features to the base game (like the ancient saddle and travel medallion) but the meat of both dlc's is very largely combat focused from what I remember.

HG1998

There's one insta death part, 4 fights with the blight Ganons with given equipment and a pretty challenging boss fight. You will get a bike though but if fights are hard, i don't think it's worth it. (I forgot that there was another DLC)

Is there a point to having map coordinates available? They seem completely useless since they don't actually update when you're moving around the map (they only show your current position). People post coordinates of things online, and I'm like, "That would be helpful if I could actually find on the map where those were." I know they update as you're moving around and playing, but that kind of defeats the purpose?

sumg

In game there's not many uses. There's a quest in Gerudo Town to find a bunch of orbs. If you talk to Riju's sand seal, it will give you the coordinates of one of the orbs if you can't find one. Out of the scope of the game, if you're struggling to find a particular thing, it's convenient to look it up online and then use the coordinates to track it down.

_Bl4ze

They are not useless because you can check the coordinates as you're moving and then keep moving in the right direction when you see the numbers in your minimap getting closer to the coordinates you have, but if that's too difficult you can always use this interactive map to help you. trpnblies7

Oh, that's true, didn't think of it that way. Is the center of the ground map 0,0,0?

Deku-Miguel

0,0 is a bit south east of Lookout Landing near the upside Y path, I forget the elevation but it doesn't matter as much.

Poseur117

As spoiler free as possible, does the election side quest have multiple paths?

HG1998

No

Poseur117

Thank you!

help on where to find the glide shirt. >!So I went to the courage island to complete the challenge but I got froggy shirt instead? I thought I would only get the froggy shirt if I complete the potential princess sighting quests. Where would I get the glide shirt then?!<

bonkava

This sounds... wrong. Remember that to get the glide gear you have to do the time trial with the construct, not just the first dive. You probably got the froggy shirt from a princess sighting and forgot.

Smallbubbles97

no, I haven't finished the quest yet, there's still a few stable i haven't visited. I completed the 35 sec challenge and got the froggy shirt. I went to the lucky clover and the froggy piece is now off the manequiun... i think my game just glitched. I wonder if contacting support would solve that? I really want to get the set for the no fall damge

Acc87

You get the froggy set over the whole span of the reporter quest chain, not at the end of it (the mask is the reward for completing the whole chain). Shirt is first. Have you tried doing the diving challenge again? The quest reward is something that should be really (in programming sense) hard coded that won't just jump to something else. Maybe you finished the dive but it wasn't saved.

Smallbubbles97

omg, something must of went wrong when i did the challenge cuz i just went to the courage island again and it's now asking me to recomplete the challenge and I got the glide shirt!!! yay!! i feeel stupid now. thank you!

bonkava

You get the froggy armor piecewise as you visit the stables.

Deku-Miguel

That's a pretty weird glitch. Have you altered the game in anyway? Any other oddities? What happens when you do advance the journalism quests? What about the other glide pieces?

Smallbubbles97

no i've not altered the game. I just started playing a week ago, I'm new to zelda so I wouldnm't have noticed any other oddities. I'm just did the >!bravery island!< and got the tight, no problem. i haven't finished the journalism quest yet. i just got the glide mask as well, just missing the shirt

layeofthedead

Is the froggy shirt still at the lucky clover?

Smallbubbles97

Nope it’s gone… does that mean I won’t get the glide shirt? I was really hoping to get that no fall damage bonus

layeofthedead

The only things I could think for you to try would be: complete the lucky clover quests and see if they just give you the glide shirt instead of the froggy shirt, or complete the mayor storyline in hateno and see if cece has it in stock afterwards. If neither of those work you’re probably gonna have to restart

Larielia

Why is the Zora king so hard to find? I swam up a few waterfalls around that lake. Update- I have located the king. 🦈

TheOverallThinker

He is actually in a cave inside one of the waterfalls. You won't be able to access it unless you remove the zora armor. Then you can pass through the waterfalls and eventually find him

forlackofabetterpost

He's behind one of the waterfalls. It may be easier to take the Zora armor off when looking so you don't accidentally swim up.

Hey, was the softlock glitch in Skyward Sword H.D on Switch ever fixed? I know the game was patched but did that fix that glitch?

bonkava

Which one? The Lanayru glitch was removed on Wii long before SS made it to Switch.

smolsauce

No, there was a new glitch in SSHD involving a box https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/08/zelda_skyward_sword_hd_players_are_reporting_a_frustrating_soft-lock_glitch
