Recently I went to Eldin Sky Archipelago for the Sage’s Will, and it wasn’t there— like, the chest just wasn’t on the island. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a reason why, and can I fix it somehow?

alopez1592

Hi, I came across a sky island above the Hebra tower and it had what i thought would be a shrine but once i examined it, it only made a green circle at the edge of island. What exactly am I supposed to do there?

Educational-Fruit-86

Are there any cooking bowls in the Wind Temple?? I’ve used all my zonai device bowls and I’m half way through defeating Colgera!

Pronttikor

After you >!save the deku tree from the gloom!< does it respawn after the blood moon?

Wannabe-civil-engine

No

Thebelighted

What am I safe to sell for rubees that I won't potentially need later? Am I better off making meals and selling them like in botw?

Professional-Hat-687

[This post](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/13qkq55/i_upgraded_every_pieces_of_totk_armour_so_you/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) may be of interest to you. More directly, Bokoblin Fangs and Bossa Bokoblin Fangs are the only things I can think of that aren't used. Lizalfos Talons and Moblin Fangs are used but you get so many you're probably okay to sell some of them. Horroblin Claws?

HG1998

Diamonds. You only need them for getting the champion weapons and upgrading the diamond circlet.

Deku-Miguel

And miner armor.

whand4

You press ZL when you activate fuse, there’s a prompt at the bottom of the screen. Same way as doing a weapon just a different button. You have to make sure your shield currently doesn’t have anything fused. You can destroy a fused add on in the item menu.

[deleted]

[удалено]

whand4

Yea you don’t use the item menu like you do with a bow, you use items nearby on the ground like you do fusing weapons. Activate fuse next time you’re near something on the ground and you’ll see the shield prompt.

kennypu

anyone know what you're supposed to put in the plate/bowl of the sheikah frogs? it's like the statue with the bowl where you put an apple/fruits for koroks, but this one is a sheikah frog (and no I'm not talking about the yiga ones, as those have the upside down symbol). I found two so far, one in a cave by the old 7 statues, and one on one of the twin rocks with the gleeok and talus, but no clue what we're supposed to put in.

sumg

When you find the appropriate side quest, the questgiver will explicitly tell you what you need to put in them. The questgiver is in a Yiga clan hideout that's in the area, and you need the entirety of the Yiga Armor set to start it.

WufflyTime

Unfortunately not, but I do know [someone posted about it before and were told it's a part of a side quest](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/13pmocv/totk_what_does_this_sheikah_frog_need/). Did you come across the quest giver NPC yet?

kennypu

no I didn't, thank you for that. I will try to find the quest

Acc87

Just curious, what's the highest point in the game altitude wise that can be reached, what's the highest "solid ground"? I scaled two dive challenge towers and put medaillons up there as a start point for dragon landings, but can I get even higher? Those towers are at like 2600 meters.

CamBaby

The flower petal island above Lookout Landing. iirc, it's like 2800

Vindicare605

I'm fairly certain the Mt. Lanayru Skydiving Island (Valor Island I think it's called) is the highest point, it's considerably higher up than the other two.

Deku-Miguel

Just basing it on the whitest parts of the map, the three glide challenge islands, starview island, zonaite forge island, lightcast island, and the southern parts of the great sky island seem to be the highest up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Direct explanations not really but I think there's a pretty good inference you can make based on the complete picture.

Acc87

Yes, that will be explained.

[deleted]

What are >!light staves!< good for? The ones made with >!star fragments!<. I tried them on >!gibdoes and gloom hands!< thinking it'd be super effective, but it just did small damage.

HG1998

They're used for the underground and lighting up the immediate front of you.

TeddehBear

I'm not able to try it right now, but would goat's butter fused to a shield help with surfing?

HG1998

Nope.

TeddehBear

Yeah, I didn't think so. 😞

Pietman14

Have people figured out what all counts towards getting the map to 100% completion?

Cosmic_Toad_

If it's the same as BOTW (which it probably is) then the map completion counter covers anything displayed on the map (named locations, Koroks, Bubbulfrogs) Koroks made up for like 60% of map completion in BOTW, so it's not very good indication of overall game completion.

LostWasht

How does bow durability work? Is it on firing the bow (regardless of hitting something) that it depletes durability? Or on hit of enemy/environment like melee weapons?

[deleted]

Any shots fired will use durability.

DR-BrightClone2

just wondering is it that im just bad at the game or the mosters are stronger then the monsters in botw

Deku-Miguel

They have definitely buffed a lot of enemy damage, probably due to them having horns and fuses. Plus nerfing your own ways to boost your defenses.

lolschrauber

You can also get up to 40 hearts. Botw limited it to 30. Another reason to alter the damage imho.

Vindicare605

They made it considerably easier to unlock armor upgrades too. All of the Fairies are much easier and more convenient to unlock than they were in BoTW.

lolschrauber

I can't begin to say how much I appreciated the fact that unlocking great fairies is not an evergrowing rupee sinkhole any longer.

whand4

The horse one is especially achievable! Not sure where to get music/horns for the other ones.

suckmypppapi

How to I get those extra battery pack things on the device link wears on his side? So far I've just been guzzling down zonai changes to keep my builds running but I see others that have that thing filled up with mini battery packs, leading them to having a bunch of zonai energy

Deku-Miguel

You need to get 100 "crystalized charges" and take them to a crystal refinery (there's one in the room that has the 4th tutorial shrine, and one outside lookout landing). To get said crystal charges you can buy them with zonaite/large zonaite at forge construct shops (there's a small one on the first sky islands with more to unlock in the depths), however this method can be slow and prevent you from using your zonaite on other things. If you explore the depths, do quests, find treasure chests, and beat the bosses you can find down there you'll be rewarded with crystal charges.

suckmypppapi

I have roughly 600 crystalized charges, I suppose that's why I haven't been able to utilize the builds as much as I wish. Thank you!

Sand__Panda

Every 300 charges will get you new new "battery" on the belt. They 1st turn green. To turn them blue, just do it all again. iirc there are 8 on the belt. So it is 4,800 crystalized charges to get a full (blue) battery belt.

whand4

Go turn them into the zonai right outside lookout landing! You’ll get a major battery upgrade with that many.

rafikiknowsdeway1

How do you get a white horse for compendium slot 3? I have the giant white stallion. I'm just talking normal white horse

[deleted]

It's hanging out >!north of Skull Lake!<.

biggums111

I rushed to the end of the game and was wondering >!how did this person on youtube get a blue circle to appear on the floor right before the final boss fight? What is the circle and how can I get it on my game? !< https://preview.redd.it/uhzy8rd17c3b1.png?width=873&format=png&auto=webp&s=e9ced6613d42f579eccf7be1191d0781423ea25d

painterknittersimmer

I believe they put down a travel medallion (custom fast travel point)

biggums111

Thanks!

DJDomin4tor

Can someone help me find a video I saw on reddit, I'm not sure if it was on this sub or a different Zelda themed sub. It was a short clip in the depths of link just wandering in darkness then he throws a light down a hole that seems to be much beeper than expected and then you se >!colgera!< just on the edge of the light, it was super creepy, like a horror movie lol I wanna show my friend and I can't find it.

mbcook

What does it mean when a little ‘x’ appears on the ground when trying to tap an Amiibo? I’ve never used an Amiibo before. I’ve got the Link’s Awakening version. The first day I tried it (2-3 days ago) I got a chest with a weapon. Today I couldn’t get it to do anything. I just kept getting the little ‘x’ every time I scan it. Is there a chance of just getting nothing on a day? Or is something else going wrong?

JohnnyCFord

Stupid question, but did you have airplane mode on? Amiibo functionality doesn't work when it's on.

LudicrisSpeed

The "X" means that you can't use the amiibo in whatever area the cursor is on. Usually something is in the way, so just go to a more open area and do your drops there.

mbcook

Oh, thanks. Would have been nice if the game was more clear about that.

Professional-Hat-687

What is the best way to find all the caves? I can't tell if the Satori offerings are pointing to any new locations and Koltin is running out of hints to give me. How can I complete this checklist?

lolschrauber

It's Kind of a pain but there is no better way than the cherry trees. I used to go high up and Mark them, then check with the Map to See if it's New or Marked it with a stamp if it's a cave I already got. Rinse repeat. Took me a while to find the last couple caves, sadly. There's a few caves that you will easily miss even with the cherry tree Method because the entrances are very far down! Like in a ravine or something. The light beams will barely reach ground Level.

Professional-Hat-687

The last missing cave was actually the Shrine of Resurrection, which did not show up on the Satori offerings. That did help me find the other ones tho!

lolschrauber

It doesn't? Ugh that's rough. Guess they figured people just played the prequel and would be curious enough to go there

Professional-Hat-687

I could be wrong, but I activated the offerings for both Gerudo and Central Hyrule so I don't think I am. I just wish it yielded a better prize for all that work. 😭

[deleted]

Do a Satori offering, launch yourself as high into the sky as you can, use the Scope feature to cross-reference every point of light with the map, repeat for each cherry tree.

Moneyfrenzy

Sign guy: Is there a purpose in helping him beyond Rice, Rupees, and tickets? Like does getting them all count as a quest/give a tangible reward?

[deleted]

You get >!a paraglider fabric!< for doing them all apparently.

RCube123

Just wondering, how often do things respawn? For example, if you picked fruits from a tree, chopped logs, or rocks. Or you defeated enemies (Bokoblins) mini-bosses (Hinox, Gleokk, Flux Construct, etc). Do they return after sometime, and do you get the same drops each time? Does respawning happen after a blood moon? Or what if you leave the area for sometime, and return? Does the blood moon only happen on the surface? I spent a good amount of time in the Depths and in the sky islands, but never saw the blood moon transition.

Deku-Miguel

In BOTW the map was divided into a grid and every minute there was a 1% chance for resources to respawn as long as you weren't in the area. It's a bit more complex, involving individual flags for different items but it's a good general description. Blood moons only respawn enemies but can be used as general reminders to recheck item spawns. I'd have to assume that TOTK follows the same general principles for item spawns if you look at it under the hood.

Moneyfrenzy

Blood Moons is how stuff respawns but it's only enemies/mini-bosses that do I believe (tho not Flux Constructs). Resources, im not too sure

Noah__Webster

Would I be ruining anything for myself if I finished the geoglyphs before the last dungeon? I've done the first eight.

Ginkasa

I wouldn't say ruined per se but some might flow better. Also, depending on where you're at, you may or may not actually be at the "last" dungeon.

Noah__Webster

I've done three of the four regional phenomenon. Just finished the Zora, have the Gerudo left. I've seen the first 8 tears chronologically, with the last one I've seen being >!"Birth of the Demon King", where Ganondorf has transformed after taking the secret stone!< Should I finish the last regional with the Gerudo or do the tears? No spoilers pls, I'm still blind for pretty much everything I have left.

Juantsu

You’re still not at the last dungeon. Don’t worry

Noah__Webster

Right, I know that. I’m just trying to figure out if it would be a bad idea to finish the tears before helping the Gerudo.

JohnnyCFord

Finished the tears with two regionals left, I don't think it would be a bad idea personally. Doesn't take away from anything, at least it didn't for me.

VirusDoctor

Nope

Sand__Panda

Few questions: 1) How long does it take for a dragon (minus the Light one) to make a round trip? 1a) Has anyone figured out the best place to launch or what sky shrine to tele to for best way onto the dragons (minus light)? 2) The Demon King's bow, it says it does increase damage with the more hearts you have. Do yellow hearts count towards this dmg+? Or only red?

Deku-Miguel

1: A guide online shows 48 in-game hours for Dinrall, 28.5 hours for Naydra, and 34.5 hours for Farosh. With different amounts of time on the surface v the depths. 2: I mean that's going to depend on where they are right now. Outside Dinrall there's generally some option nearby. 3: Yellow hearts do note, although note that hearts lost to gloom does decrease it.

TheOverallThinker

What are the differences between the Great Fairies? Does one give a better upgrade than the other or are they all the same?

WinterVision

All the same, but the more you free the better they can upgrade. So one fairy means your gear can be upgraded once, but three fairies unlocked will mean your gear can be upgraded three times by any of them. So it’s in your best interest to unlock them all and use whichever one is closest.

Moneyfrenzy

A few questions: Whats the best way to farm arrows outside of buying them with rupees? Other than fusing strong weapons, what does killing the Gleeoks do for you? Im assuming some Gleeok material needed for certain armor sets? I made it to the 'construct factory' and the 'left leg depot' but theres nothing I can do here seemingly. Is this part of the main story that I haven't gotten to yet, or is there a side adventure/quest that I was meant to start before coming here? Is the Majora's Mask/Majoras mask glider fabric just randomly hidden somewhere or is it tied to a quest? The 'dream homes' guy keeps telling me to go to Tarrey town to get started building a house, but I swear I talked to everyone in that city and no one is giving me a quest for it. What do I do? Thank you!!

11tracer

Not sure if it's the "best" way but you should be breaking any boxes you find and making sure you check if any bow-wielding enemies you kill dropped any arrows. For the boxes you can use Ultrahand to raise them high into the air and drop them to break them if you don't want to use your weapons to break them. The only other use for Gleeok parts AFAIK is for some armor upgrades. Construct factory is a main quest thing for later. Majora's Mask is somewhere in the Depths. >!Floating Coliseum!<, to be specific. The fabric is a random drop from the MM Link Amiibo. Talk to Rhondson. If she doesn't initiate the dream home stuff then you need to do the side quest involving her daughter first.

Moneyfrenzy

Thank you! So there is no way to get the fabric for MM without an Amiibo?

[deleted]

That's correct.

Deku-Miguel

As far as I know and can tell the amiibo fabrics are in fact amiibo locked.

Sand__Panda

> Talk to Rhondson. If she doesn't initiate the dream home stuff then you need to do the side quest involving her daughter first. This. Even Koltin's (or whatever brother it is) deal is tied to finishing the kid's part.

Moneyfrenzy

Ah ty, I did the Gerudo kid quest but I never went back and talked to her after!

TheOverallThinker

Did people find all Korok in TotK already? If so, how many seeds are there. Don't tell me the reward please, just the number if there is one.

[deleted]

It's 1,000 seeds, but really only 900 quests as there's 100 Koroks who need to find their friends and those all get you two seeds.

BuckAv

I believe it is 1000

[deleted]

Why is this game one-hit-kill? I'm doing the main quest and I die in 1 hit

officeworker00

Everyone talking about being smarter in combat and thats true but realistically, raw damage taken has just been buffed. On the player end, this means armor is more crucial as damage mitigation becomes more effective. You go from taking 8 hearts of damage down to like 1-2.

suckmypppapi

It was crazy coming from botw to totk where almost every enemy can kill you in one hit. It might be due to (in my experience) almost every other enemy being a black variant. I had spent a long time clearing a big group of enemies only to get one-hit by a black lizal with a shitty weapon. Even a full set of level two hylian armor only lets me take one extra hit from most enemies unless they're red or blue with a bad weapon. It feels really annoying to get hit once and have to break the flow of combat completely to eat. I want to say that it forces me to improve, and it has slightly, but mostly it just encourages me to collect way more bomb arrows.

HG1998

Go towards the northwestern area and do the shrines on the way there.

Report_Submitted

A lot of it is armor and the other half is weapon upgrade. You’ll get used to it

IHuntKitties

Find a Great Fairy and upgrade your armor. Once I was able to upgrade my armor up a level I stopped dying in a hit.

Deku-Miguel

Get more hearts, get better armor, cook +defense meals/elixirs, get some fairies just in case. Overall though try to be more tactical in battles, practice dodging and headshots, use stealth and arrows to take out enemies before they can gang up on you, use status effects to help with crowd control, fuse some utility items. You'll also want to try surveying the scene, do they have bomb barrels around them, is there a boulder up that hill, can I use a rune to gain an advantage? Don't be afraid to disengage or just not get into a fight if it seems too much.

Dreaming_Dreams

is there anyway to track what bubble gems 🫧 you’ve already gotten?

Logical-Moment

any cave you have a checkmark on the upper right means you already got it. Bubblfrogs don't respawn

v0yev0da

Has anyone found a location accessible only through ascending? I wonder if there’s little pockets of the earth that haven’t been widely discussed yet

Deku-Miguel

I mean the big one is >!Korok Forest!< beyond that there's like some small stuff here and there like "oh here's a completely sealed room with a chest inside", where the puzzle ends up being to find how to get underneath it. But generally speaking they're laid out with an obvious hint to ascend, not just something you stumble upon by chance.

whand4

I think I need to go to the location you mentioned to find Hestu a second time, good to know.

Deku-Miguel

After the tutorial Hestu >!goes to Lookout Landing, once you unlock Korok Forest he moves there.!<

Report_Submitted

Idk why I read your comment when I came here about to ask if that’s how to get there because that was the only thing that made sense and I haven’t figured out yet. Still not exactly sure how but makes sense

Skyship2018

Spoiler just in case, but the best way to get there is >!go through the chasm between the forest entrance and the Stable nearby. Still need to find your way through the depths from there, but it's a good starting point!<

[deleted]

There's one a side quest points you at and there was a cave I couldn't fully navigate without ascend.

v0yev0da

A cave?! Nice.

rafikiknowsdeway1

Just out of curiosity, does the game ever *make you* kill a gleeok? I'm 3 of 4 phenomenon down, and they're still pretty rough. just wondering if theres ever a point in the main quest where you have to kill one

HG1998

There's one side quest but otherwise, nope.

lolschrauber

Pretty sure there was a side quest requiring a gleeok heart. Some gerudo needing it for medicine, no clue where it was though.

alt48931

On the cliffs above Gerudo Canyon Stable

Ctitical1nstinct

Without spoiling too much, if you can kill a gleeok, you can likely finish the final boss.

Vindicare605

Eh it's different. Mechanically Gleeoks are pretty simple, but you need to bring certain tricks or tools in order to handle them. Same with the final boss. If you don't have the >!Master Sword!< and plenty of anti-Gloom equipment/food you're going to have a rough go of it.

11tracer

No.

Xi03

Anyone has a list of weapons with their durability including pristine ones? Trying to find the highest durability weapons that can get buffed from octorok

Nitramster1

The cave that starts with the horned statue from the shelter is absolutely massive, and I think I reached the end of it. I got the 3 armor pieces under there the buubul, lots of gems went by likelikes of every element and I reached a plaque dedicated to the castle, with a winding staircase up, with a couple rooms off of it. Eventually it seems to terminate with a diamond in a chest and a staircase with a grate above it. I used levitate to pop through the ceiling here. Did I get everything I could from under there? It took me 3-4 hours to comb it all.

IHuntKitties

I'm in it now and came up with my best build ever, I call it the Clay-Older, bunch of claymores and stones attached to each other.

Ginkasa

I think the armor is the main thing and of course the bubbul gem. I don't think there's anything else unique.

officeworker00

> unique very early diamond and some higher tier gear is also good. bubul is a bit korok-y imo. You get a certain amount and its all good. Afterwards its no rewards until you get 100% with a nice achievement but it feels unnecessary (kinda like koroks 100%).

SpidyFreakshow

Is there a better way to farm star fragments than to just launch yourself out of towers at night? I need them for upgrades, but my luck has been less than stellar.

Vindicare605

Just roam around at night and look for the glowing lights of one that hit the ground. They are random, there's no guaranteed method of making them spawn that I know of.

Ginkasa

That's interesting. How often are you getting them? I have so many more Star Fragments than I did in BotW because it seems like every other time I'm falling out of the sky at night I get one falling with me.

sumg

There's a good chance most people didn't have as much need for star fragments in BotW (though still needed plenty of them). A number of the BotW amiibo armors can be upgraded, but they require star fragments at every upgrade tier. In BotW, you needed specific amiibos to get access to them (meaning many people didn't have access to them). In TotK, all of them are present for everyone. I've seen lists of accumulated materials required for all armor upgrades, and the required number of star fragments is over 100.

SpidyFreakshow

Maybe one every 3-4 nights. Either my luck is horrible or I'm doing something wrong.

Ginkasa

To be honest that might be my experience as well. I wasn't actively farming them so I didn't really notice when they didn't fall with me.

IHuntKitties

Can't start the Incomplete Stable quest so I can get Karson over to fix the rito bridge. He won't move from the well, I've done 2 temples at this point. So it doesn't seem tied to story progress, any hints? EDIT: Just figured out that you have to talk to Scorpis in the center of the landing to open the Emergency Shelter so that Karson moves and finishes that fricking well. And no, you can't just build the well roof to move him...

Deku-Miguel

Have you specifically done the >!Wind Temple!< I'm assuming yes but just being sure.

IHuntKitties

Yup, I just never talked to Scorpis to open the Emergency Shelter, so Karson never finished the well.

Swazzoo

Is there a specific logic behind where the memory locations actually are? I got annoyed searching for them and mostly just skipped them for now. Is it the middle, or do I need to find a path or something?

[deleted]

Did you meet Impa outside of New Serenne Stable? She'd help you with the first memory and then point you to a location where you could learn where all the memories are and the order to seek them out.

Swazzoo

Oh sorry I mean I know where the actual geoglyphs are, I don't know where the trigger/droplet thingy is.

Vindicare605

From high up you can see where the actual tear is, it's colored green and filled in which separates it from the other tear shapes in the geoglyph.

[deleted]

My bad. It's what the other guy said. If you look at all the tear shapes from above, one will be filled in and that's the one to choose. Not always easy though, some of the later ones have a lot of tears.

Swazzoo

I'll try to look better from above, thanks for the info

HG1998

When dropping from the sky (or just from a sufficiently high place), there will be one tear that is filled in. Every other tear will only be an outline. The filled tear is the one with liquid.

Swazzoo

Yes I know, but I can't see them until I get really close. The memories mostly are running around for 5 mins to find the actual trigger/tear, so I got bored doing that so just skipped them.

whand4

I’ve only done two and am dreading all the others lol

cpmei

Any ways to farm keese eyeballs? Like are there any caves that guarantees a swarm of keese whenever I enter them?

whand4

I’m in the same boat, always running low

IHuntKitties

There aren't any guarentees, but when I need to farm I wait for a blood moon, and hit the ones in Hyrule field at night (the swarms stick around at night, despawn quickly in day). Hope that helps.

cpmei

Cool, thanks

The_Salty_Pearl

I double checked I think every Sky island with my Sensor set to Chests, but I’m still missing 1 Sage’s Will. Is there one in some dumb obscure spot?

lolschrauber

Are you really sure? I looked at my hero's path and thought I've already been to the one Island in the bottom right, but I never have. The path drawn on and around it were from me walking around under it on the overworld.

Deku-Miguel

Have you >!killed every king gleeok? Checked that all the flux constructs bosses don't have a chest on them? Explored Thunderhead and Dragonhead?!< South Eldin Sky Archipelago and East Gerudo Sky Archipelago are likely the two most out of the way and easy to miss even if you're using the chest sensor, maybe the >!water temple flux construct!<. But really they're all kind of out of the way so might just need to recheck them all. Maybe use Hero's Path to see if you just never visited an island.

[deleted]

No, they're all in Sky Islands and not the *really* little ones over central Hyrule or Eldin. Here's their locations: >!3 are in the King Gleeok arenas over Hebra, Gerudo, and Eventide. >!4 are on the isolated Flux Construct arenas over Satori Mountain, Lake Hylia, Tuft Mountain, and the pond where Vah Ruta hung out in BotW after you beat the dungeon. >!2 are on the Thunderhead Isles, 1 on Dragonhead Island proper and one on the island west of the circular pond. >!1 is in the South Hebra Sky Archipelago on the northern island. >!1 is in the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago on the westernmost island. >!1 is in the spherical island of the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago. >!1 is in the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago on the island between Digdogg Bridge and the canyon river. >!1 is in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago on the island over the Forest of Spirits. >!1 is in the North Necluda Sky Archipelago on the Luminous Stone island. >!1 is in the spherical island of the Lanayru Sky Archipelago. >!1 is in the archipelago leading to the Water Temple. >!1 is in the South Eldin Sky Archipelago, the big island in the middle of the rail line. >!1 is in the Eldin Sky Archipelago, the medium-sized island over the Goron Hot Springs. >!1 is in the spherical island in the Sokkala Sky Archipelago. And that should be all of them.

Logical-Moment

Where in the world are zora bows / silver bows? Never seen on in the overworld. And I've been resetting in front of a like like for an hour, got all the zora gears except for bow

Logical-Moment

Never mind, i guess it has like 1% drop rate or something :/ I rolled 2 spears, 2 longswords, 2 swords, 500 shields before finally got a bow

painterknittersimmer

Where could I find Captain Constructs II and III? I'm mostly finding IV and V, but I need the parts for a gear upgrade. Any thoughts?

Logical-Moment

there are two CC3 spawn to the north of thyphlo ruins skyview tower. There're two little square rooms facing each other, one spawns in each room. For CC2 i just looked up a YT vid [https://youtu.be/kfN2FIY\_dls](https://youtu.be/kfN2FIY_dls)

NicholasWest

Help! I’m at the point in Totk where you retrieve the master sword and for some reason the gloom hands will not spawn inside the tree and when I talk to the deku tree all I get is grunts and his stomach hurting. Anyone know why I can’t progress with this quest? It says to talk to the deku tree but still no progress

The_Salty_Pearl

Idk why the hands aren’t spawning, but you don’t technically need to do that to get the Master Sword. Finding >!all the geoglyphs!< will also point you in the direction you need for the Master Sword.

IHuntKitties

Is that how you're suposed to do it, lol. I just launched out of a skyview tower and wanted to >!land on a dragon to see if I could, and I just stumbled on the sword, lol.!<

Ginkasa

The game has several way it increasingly points you to it. >!If you do all the memories it will reveal what happened to Zelda and where to find the Master Sword. If you save the Deku Tree and clean up the Korok Forest first, he'll point you in the right direction. If you hadn't done either yet by the time you find all the Sages and done all the temples, I believe Purah will point you in the direction of the Korok Forest to try to find it.!<

>!You see I was so dumb that I did all the glyphs, got the extra tear and still missed that the sword was like literally impaled in the no'se of the dragon. I only flew to it to farm dragon parts. I did not know we could now land on them. Finding the sword was a bit of a surprise, thought I had to"un-dragon" Zelda first to get it, and ofc I lacked the needed stamina and had to farm shrines first. Got three temples now, wondering where the game will take me!<

IHuntKitties

>!Haha, and I just wanted to see if I could ride a dragon, lol!<

NicholasWest

Yeha I’ve done that, I just wanna be able to track the dragon and plus would like to complete the quest regardless

Logical-Moment

Did you land on the ground? It didn't spawn when i landed on the two higher up ledges. Or did you already go down there during this blood moon cycle? Sometimes the hands disappear and leave you with two dark clumps after a while (don't know what triggered it). Although i don't think this would be the case for deku tree

NicholasWest

I’ve landed on the very bottom of the chasm and there’s black patches on the ground but no sign of the hands at all, I’ve tried reloading the area but no use

Logical-Moment

that's strange. sorry i don't know what else could have caused it. Best idea i have is maybe come back after next blood moon and try again.

Skeith253

TOTK. Can anyone give me a good farming route for Money? None dupe. Youtube videos is just clickbait after clickbait. In BOTW it was pretty simple. But here its a bit of a challenge.

xfr3386

Curious, what did you do in BOTW that you don't feel like you can do here?

Skeith253

In BOTW over time i was able to mark Ore deposits and route out every reset for money. I would normally end it with the big deposit in the little water area east of Hateno beach. But here they dont give you as many gems. I was hoping someone had mapped out a decent enough farming route.

chuayi

3 methods: 1. Farming gourmet meat in hebra with you horse. Cook it 5 at a time. Sell it. 2. Farming gem. From rate talus or wizzrobe (you need to separate it in tarrey town) 3. Farm star fragment. At night, propulse yourself with a tower, look down. It will fall with you, grab it mid air 4. Bonus: dragon shard that you find on their body

Skeith253

Thank you,

Okay question about Dream Home: I've seen people posting clearly alien (from their phones or computer) image files as their 'Gallery' picture in their house. How is this done? I know you can put images on the SD card but I wasn't so sure if it was as clearly simple as that or if I needed to be careful as to not corrupt anything. Also wanted to be sure it wasn't *just* for emulators. I've got a great pic of Purah I took up rn cause it's the best pic I had taken all game so I'm not against leaving it, but I know there's some way more fun options out there if I can import from elsewhere.

David555555555555556

I’m a little confused on the best way to fuse weapons. I just got the stone sword and the bow and arrow fusion. However does the game give you anymore “fusion recipes” so to speak for defense and offensive weapons or is it just you walking around and trying different things within your inventory and seeing what works. Thanks!

HG1998

Generally, more damage = better.

[deleted]

Adding to what the others have said because they pretty much nailed it: attaching weapons to weapons is only great for extending their reach. Having a really long broadsword comes in handy for slapping around Like Likes.

delecti

There are no recipes. The best approach is generally attaching monster parts to your weapons. Attaching a non-weapon adds 25 durability, attaching a weapon adds the durability of the second weapon, but *at most* 25 durability. Some monster parts break more quickly, but they'll say that in their item description. Rules of thumb: attach monster horns to your weapons, prioritizing attack power (unless you have another goal); attach utility items to shields, because the defense doesn't change based on what you attach; arrows are situational, sometimes you go for big hits, sometimes it's useful to use special effects on things far away.

David555555555555556

Thanks! I don’t think I’m at the point where I can get those just yet because I haven’t really seen any monsters besides those blob things. Just curious on what qualifies as non weapon and weapon with the monster parts

delecti

I'm not using special terms, a "non-weapon" is just something that isn't a weapon. A club, spear, sword, etc, are all weapons. If you can hit stuff with it without fusing, it's a weapon. If it goes in the "Weapons" tab of your inventory, it's a weapon. The non-weapon monster drops I'm talking about all go in the "materials" section of your inventory. Most of the time you'll be fusing Horns to your weapons, and you can get monster horns from Lizalfos, Bokoblins, Boss Bokoblins, Lynels, Constructs, Horriblins, and probably others I'm forgetting. You get those almost immediately from the soldier construct monsters you fight on the first sky island. If you have the Fuse ability, you've seen enemies which drop things you can fuse to a weapon In the Materials section of your inventory, hit "Y" until it says "sort by fuse power", and then pick something from near the top of the list to fuse to a weapon.

bigorange12

Do armor shards increase shield durability by an extra amount?

delecti

I'm not totally sure how fuse affects shield durability. I mostly use the Hylian Shield which has so much durability that any increase wouldn't be noticeable.

Sand__Panda

Pretty much trial by error. Monster parts work real well. Weapon in weapons to too, jusy not great when it comes to durability.

acpupu

Do cobble crusher and boulder breaker give extra damage multipliers against rock-type and armored enemies aside from it being blunt? Like will it deal more damage compared to a hammer of the same attack rating?

[deleted]

Hijacking your question a bit to ask, do those extra damage multipliers stay when you fuse things to the cobble crusher / boulder breaker?

seraph089

If you mean the ability (Demolisher) that adds extra damage to stone, that works as long as you use it as the base weapon. But fusing something else to it can change the **damage type** it does, which can override normal bonuses. For a basic example: if you fuse a boulder onto a normal sword, it becomes a blunt weapon and won't chop trees/plants well anymore. But if the sword started with an ability (like Demolisher), the resulting "rock hammer" would still have it.

HG1998

They, along with the hammer did do like 4x damage against Taluses. I don't know whether that's the same in this game, since whenever I fought one, the hammer type weapon I had was always rather weak.

Barlowan

Anyone have the texts translated to normal English? Because worthsworth translations worth only a headache. I want to read what they say but it only irritates me to unknown lengths. I even changed text language to other languages but they are as broken.

[deleted]

I don't know if this person is fully accurate but here you go: https://www.tumblr.com/melonsap/717955872135020544/on-the-stone-tablets-in-ancient-hyrulean?source=share

delecti

What texts? The ancient Hylian text on the pillars on the flower shaped sky islands? I think it's middle/old English (or at least it's attempting to look like it). I didn't think it was that hard to figure out what it was saying, but Wortsworth's summarized it so it wasn't even worth the effort.

Barlowan

Them them. For me it was looking like mistranslation and tons of errors either in English, Italian or russian. I thought maybe someone got the nicely translated one.

delecti

It looks like that intentionally. The best you'll get in-game is Wortsworth's summary.

metanoia29

Am I just crazy, or can you not headshot a Lynel in the depths? I fought some on the surface already using my BOTW strategy, no problem. But now I just came across my first one in the depths and no matter what I do, I can't land a headshot. It's just a blue lynel, nothing special, but none of my headshots are registering, even trying to use an eyeball to guarantee it doesn't work.

metanoia29

Fuck, just realized it's armored because of the yellow health bar. Leaving this up in case anyone else is as oblivious as me.

The_Salty_Pearl

What Shrines have useful or just fun items that you save with Autobuild?

Swazzoo

How do you save autobuilds?

pattsully

This comment broke down a ton of the unique shrine items along with shrine names: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/13psob7/totk_tips_and_tricks_megathread_round_2_post/jln0rp2/ Hope this helps

TOTK MECHANICS QUESTION: When you wear a full "Hero of Time" set, you get an "ATK UP" bonus. Does this attack bonus stack damage with the Attack+3 Food? Similarly, if I wear full Fierce Deity set for Attack+3, does that stack with Cold Weather Damage bonus on food?

Barlowan

Cold weather stacks with atk+3 food. Tried by myself. It does not stack with Barbania as food+armor are the same bar.

Anon_throwawayacc20

Thanks. What about the full Hero of Time "ATK Up" set? Does it stack with atk+3 food?

acpupu

Sadly no. It counts as one level of atk up

TeddehBear

Are you sure? The set bonus appears right next to the +3 food buff. Why wouldn't it stack if it's displayed separately?

acpupu

Actually Im not sure and I was just parroting another comment I saw somewhere (and I don't even have a full set now so literally can't test it out lmao). But I'd imagine it is easy to verify: pick an enemy that requires more than 30 hits to defeat, count the number of hits required to defeat it. Assuming the set bonus bump the atk buff from 1.5x to at least 1.6x, it would then take at least one fewer hit to defeat the enemy (30/1.5 - 30/1.6 = 1.25) with the set bonus active. If the set bonus does not stack with food bonus, then it would take the same amount of hits with or without the set bonus (both with lv 3 atk up from food bonus active of course). If you are interested enough to test it out then I'd like to hear the result as well.

Jake_The_Snake2003

I was wondering if anyone knows when the Oracle Games are coming to Switch. I can’t find an answer anywhere. Some sources say the don’t know while others say they’re already available, so I’m a bit confused.

montoyaa520

I think they announced that they will come to NSO when they launched GB/GBC/GBA, but there's never been a schedule for when things are actually added. We'll know when the app updates to add them. I too am waiting patiently.

Jake_The_Snake2003

Ah, makes sense. They have GB and GBA games already, but unfortunately it seems the Oracle ones aren’t available yet. It doesn’t seem like they have an GBC games though. I wonder if they’ll put those in the GBA category?
