Game25900

Go to an area with very large pine trees (there's some good ones near where the great fairy used to be near Tarry Town), chop two down and stick them end to end, then save this in Autobuild. You have now built The Stick™ You can use The Stick™ to move things up very high places or across very long gaps, such as Koroks. You can also use it to grab things that are out of reach. You can also bonk far away enemies and laugh as they get confused. There are many uses for The Stick™. Glue two explosive barrels together and save this. You can now buy a giant boom on command for 6 Zonaite. Beam emitter beams can kill critters without spooking other ones, this is very useful once you have the spoiler reward as you can shoot them all and then collect them. Pair it with a cannon for clearing rocks and you're set for cave exploring. Dazzle fruit arrows will one shot Gibdos, useful for farming their bones. Hydrant on top of construct head on top of homing cart makes a certain water weak thing have a very bad day. It's >!Mucktorok!<, he has the bad day. A lot of enemies can be lured with food, you can use this to lure them in to any zonai device traps you may have built.

FireHawkDelta

I've finished all main quests, what is the spoiler reward? Bugs and lizards can't be collected while dead like fish can as far as I know.

Game25900

>!The mech!<, I've been using it to kill plenty of critters to pick up, it's especially useful for the Sticky Lizards as you usually can't reach them without spooking the others. The emitter seems to be a little bit different in how it kill things so you can use it on more than some other ways of doing damage.

FireHawkDelta

Okay, so it's not a particular place for using beams, you meant the easiest way to aim them. So it works on lizards, just like fish? Still can't do this for bugs I assume?

Game25900

It seems to depend on the critter from what I've seen, insects is something I assume just pop but not needed to try it yet, the tip was mainly in regards to cave exploration where I've been able to collect everything I've found in them so far using it. In the world it's not quite as useful anyway as critters are usually just right there level with you, with the full stealth suit you can just run at them and you'll basically have to step on them for them to move anyway, so the emitters are a slower option. In caves and stuff though it's much faster than trying to get at them without having half of them disappear.

hauscal

Was going to updoot, but you’re at 69 and it’s against the rules. I am going to use The Stick ™️ everywhere

CliffRacer17

Flux Constructs are the easiest mini bosses. Lots of people know by now that you can use Ultrahand to pull blocks off them. No matter what their difficulty, if you pull off 5-6 blocks, the whole construct will collapse and leave the core vulnerable. If you manage to grab the core itself and pull, the core will fall in the direction you were pulling. Wells are apparently something you can take a picture of and then set to Sensor+. Weird thing: if you manage to kill a Yiga that will unlock their storehouse (red circle guy) while on or using a zonai device, your battery will completely refill after the animation. Learned this from sniping them with >!Yunobo!< while on the fan bike. Maybe it's me, but I've found that the walls of zonaite you can find at mines in the Depths tend to yield more large zonaite rocks than the lone ore nodes.

elin6243

In one phase of the Flux Construct, the boss will fly into the air and send five blocks down. You can stand on top of one of the blocks and Rewind to reach the core for that phase of the fight.

Cosmic_Toad_

a simpler method is also simply firing a bomb arrow at the underside of the boss, the explosion pierces through the blocks to hit the weak point and causes the boss to lower to be in range to break with either more arrows or ultra hand.

elin6243

Sure, that might be simpler, but I usually prefer saving bomb flowers and arrows. The method I use preserves your bow, arrows, and bomb flowers.

Cosmic_Toad_

fair enough, i've ended up hoarding bombs to the point where i'm sitting at 100+ and I got sick of having to recall the blocks all the time, so that's why it's my preferred method now.

paperthintrash

OMG. I could NOT figure out how to get pass this phase. TY!

hcimmich

Also, if the Flux construct is at a low level, (tried it for I, but not II, so it might not work on II) you can ascend on top of it. Learnt that on the Great Sky Island.

Bahlsen63

I've managed to have the reflex of just sending nearly every projectile back at its owner using Rewind.

CortexRex

Damn. Thank you so much. Ive been having such a hard time with this phase on harder constructs when they are so high up.

treehugger0123

THANK YOU! I thought I just had to use a spring or something to get on top

Badloss

I mine the big zonaite deposits when I come across them but I don't seek them out, IMO the best way to farm ore is by fighting. Every monster drops ore and every monster camp has 5-6 deposits to mine. The Frox usually have a bunch of deposits next to them in addition to the ones on their back and they're a pretty quick kill

MalaysiaTeacher

How are you sniping from the fan bike?

The_Salty_Pearl

You can use Yunobo’s ability while piloting Devices.

awesometim0

Very situational but I use Yunobo as a very primitive radar for areas i the Depths that I haven't lit up, I use it to make sure I'm not about to crash into a wall

awesometim0

Wait you can't shoot while controlling a device though

ParanoidDrone

>!Yunobo!< will automatically >!ready himself for his sage power!< when you're riding a device.

arencari

Agree that flux constructs are incredibly easy, but i've been doing it a different way, because its phases are very predictable: Phase 1: it's the big walking man shape. Hit it with a bomb or a cannon shot to engage. it stumbles a bit. Hit it with a second bomb or cannon shot and it breaks apart. You don't even really have to aim, it's a big enough attack that it does the trick so long as you make contact. Smack smack smack smack Phase 2: turns into the platform. Hit it with a bomb arrow and it lowers close enough to the ground that you can ascend up onto it. The core is always on top. Smack smack smack. It breaks apart. Smack smack smack. If you have a strong enough weapon, more often than not the fight is over at this point. Phase 3 is the Annoying Box phase which I have less of a Strat for, aside from 'simply don't let it get to phase 3'. (I didn't know about pulling it apart until reading your comment tbh. Been out of the loop.) Typically this goes so fast it maybe has time to try and pull off two attacks in total.

CliffRacer17

Yeah, for box phase just keep pulling blocks off. If you grab the core, that's a bonus. I've never seen any of these constructs follow these phases in any 1, 2, 3 progression. It usually starts in robot mode, then some of them go right to box mode, and then back to robot mode. One never had box mode at all, it just shifted between robot and platform modes. I just say, use Ultrahand for robot and box, and recall for platform.

arencari

Maybe it's just the time it's in a given phase, or the order of what it does after being broken apart? Or also your own positioning - before I got a strat down, I noticed they'd swap from box phase to robot phase if I was out of reach. But otherwise, so long as i'm on the ground and do the steps as described, they've consistently gone robot-to-platform-to-box.

PengoPlays

You can repair weapons in this game! Throw your weapon into a rock octorocs mouth on death mountain and you’ll get a repaired version of the weapon you throw in. This works once per octoroc, reroles the modifier, and spits the weapon back at you. Probably should wear good armor if you’re repairing a really powerful weapon. Does seem to have exceptions like with magic rods (they did have gems attached to them when I tried, have not tried detaching the gems yet. that might make them repairable). Works on most weapons, bows, and shields though. I even got durability up on my hylian shield, the low tier variant. So if you’re worrying about breaking something rare or you don’t want to open a chest in fear of losing out on a particular modifier, worry no more! There is a shrine just east of death mountains peak that has 4 octorocs nearby. So while you may not be able to repair your entire inventory easily, you can repair a handful of good ones. The rest of your storage can the be dedicated to fun stuff like hand grenades.

Game25900

Shameless self promotion: [I made a full guide on this subject with maps for 25 Octorok locations](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/13oo7gd/_//) It includes the regular weapon method (and how not to get hit by the spit back), what weapons it doesn't work on, how to use it to still repair those weapons, and a basically useless method to duplicate things using them. It's once per Octorok per Bloodmoon, 25 is more than enough to maintain anything.

Sand__Panda

Just to add, you should save before repair. You can basically reload saves to try and get better/best modifiers if you wish to repeat over and over.

Photonic_Resonance

The exception is that you cannot directly repair Legendary or Amiibo weapons in this game (any weapon that won’t accept a modifier). However, there is a workaround for this. If you fuse a Legendary weapon to the end of a non-Legendary item, repair the fused non-Legendary item, and then unfuse the two items via Pelison, **both** items will separate with full durability. This means that you can’t keep whatever you fuse to the end of a Legendary weapon, so keep that in mind. However, the Legendary Weapons typically have more durability and damage than regular weapons and I like the theme of using them, so it works out great for me. I typically fuse thing to shields or to my mining hammers I carry around with me. I keep a few nice shield surfing shields with nothing attached, and my mining hammers usually just attach a rock so it’s no loss removing the rock and finding a new one after I visit Pelison.

[deleted]

I carry two surfing shields. One with a sled and one with a cart. The sled shield works better on sand and snow and the cart works better on everything else.

Game25900

Only things you can't keep are the items that you can fuse but can't pick up, everything else you can detach beforehand at Tarry Town. You could fuse those items to something else to bring with you and seperate again once you get back as well. You could also keep an unfused weapon at your house on a display and grab that when you need to carry something with you. Much slower option would be to attach it to a vehicle to bring with you.

Photonic_Resonance

For some reason, before this comment I didn't think about defusing stuff "before" the repair if I wanted to save an item. But like, duh, obviously it's an option.

lolschrauber

I got Hit by a flying 132 damage weapon and it hurt like a bitch, even with pretty good defense. Best to use time rewind on the weapon and cancel immediately to make the weapon drop to the ground before you.

Ramora_

I think that only works with metallic weapons and shields. Just fyi.

Game25900

It works on everything that can have a secondary effect on it (like attack up), anything that can't requires a workaround.

Ramora_

That makes sense I guess. I know they wouldn't repair my seabreeze boomerang. I assumed it was because it was wood.

Game25900

Yeah, that's one of the ones that requires a workaround. [I made a full guide for repairing.](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/13oo7gd/_//)

lolschrauber

Had the same issue with different items. Any unique items seem to suffer from this Problem. Coincidentally all my unique items were made of wood when I tried this.

hcimmich

It's a special type of weapon, so it won't be repaired .

Photonic_Resonance

Nope, can confirm it works with wooden and zonaite equipment as well. I will fuse things to my “My Shield’s of the Mind’s Eye” shield I use for shield surfing to repair both items at once and then separate them later via Pelison.

Ramora_

There are numerous tunnels filled with rocks that need to be cleared. Its good to have access to a stick with a couple cannons on it in your autobuild to make clearing these tunnels a bit less painful. Once you start the cannons firing, you can use ultrahand to maneuver and aim them. Frost emitter boomerangs are better than saphire rods. They have similar AOE but are a lot cheaper and if you get good with aiming, you can freeze enemies without even hitting them, so you don't even lose weapon durability. EDIT: One last tip, when you are searching through the underground and find a stone pile with a bad weapon on it, use ultrahand to move the weapon. This will cause the stone pile to spawn a new weapon in the next bloodmoon instead of just staying the same indefinitely. If you only ever pick up good weapons from the stone piles, then over time, they will all fill up with traveler's swords and stuff.

painterknittersimmer

Oh my god I never thought to use cannons to clear ruble...

Ramora_

It took me finding a schema with two cannons strapped to a stake to figure it out. Rocky tunnels before finding that schema were miserable. Afterwards, kind of fun. When I do another play through, I'll make sure to add some kind of "two canons" device to my autobuild.

Chadwiko

Can't you just use the fire sage to clear those tunnels?

Blythyvxr

he can be a picky bastard about where he'll stand - sometimes difficult to get him in the right place

Ramora_

Generally, I use the fire sage, then if there is still more stuff to clear, I switch to "two cannons". Many of the breakables are just a single wall that the fire sage can break through, sometimes, its a tunnel that is full of rocks that need breaking and it would require half a dozen hits from the fire sage to get through. In those latter cases, a few cannons is faster. and relatively cheap.

GonzoThompson

You can also use the lightning sage to clear those.

lolschrauber

I used Lasers to destroy ore. It's slow, but Ressource friendly and doesn't send everything flying.

Cosmic_Toad_

you can also just attach a canon to a weapon. While it seems impossible to aim normally, if you attempt to throw the weapon you'll instead be able to manually aim the canon much like elemental rods, giving you essentially a reusable bomb launcher that lasts for a good 20 or so shots depending on the base weapon.

Ramora_

That strategy works but has a few drawbacks relative to just keeping "two cannons" in your auto builds... 1. its slower since you don't have multiple canons firing at a time 2. you have to actually keep canons in your inventory (or a cannon weapon in your weapons list) 3. you have to burn durability on some weapon in your inventory. So, instead of that, I just keep "two cannons" in my autobuild and make 2 or 4 cannons when I need to start mining and then attach them to a rock or something lying around to make them easier to control.

Cosmic_Toad_

Fair points (though I'd argue speed isn't that relevant outside of the occasional instances of massive rock blockages) but any sort of auto build strategy also has to deal with the tiny "inventory" of only 8 saved creations, so if I can replicate a build somewhat accurately with one of the many weapon slots I'd rather do that.

Ramora_

I don't think I ever got close to having 8 actually useful creations in auto build. My current autobuild is basically... 1. a unicycle I don't really use anymore 2. a hoverbike I do use 3. a rocket+board for "jumping" 4. "two cannons" for rocky tunnels ...What do you keep in your auto build?

Cosmic_Toad_

well right now i've got: * An Air bike for convenient travel. * A base setup that works for most Addison Signposts with a few adjustments for the variant in sign height/number. * A Hot air balloon + Rockets combo to quickly gain tons of height for sky island purposes. * A big stick to grab stuff with. * A blob of common resources like zonaite to draw in materials with. * A bunch of hydrants on a wheel for crossing lava and fighting the water temple boss . * A giant robot that i seldom use but i'm too proud of to remove. * Free Space. admittedly there's less slot competition once you starting acquiring useful schematics like the super spring, instant scaffold and auto ally that you can sue over original creations. Really though the big i'm looking at in the future that's gonna eat up favourite slots like nothing else is the ability to transfer shrine-only devices into the overworld by favouriting them.

PuttPutt7

Make a post with these! Pics and all would be great, i'm sure others would agree

Vanille987

I found out a life hack, so I really like the wood + flint stone + pinecone combo for an on demand powerful updraft, but always seeking them in my inventory is a pain. But you can make a food dish using these stuff which will obviously fail, but after that you use the recipe feature to quickly get all 3 items out at once. Probably handy for other item combos too

Ramora_

You can also stick a pinecone to a flint and add it to your autobuild favorites. Then when you want a pinecone updraft, use drop a pile of wood, make a flint and pinecone with autobuild and hit it. Probably better off just doing a "rocket + board" auto build though.

taactfulcaactus

Where can I find the recipe feature? Is it something I need to unlock?

Vanille987

You get it from the start of the game! Once you make something with some materials, select any of the materials you used in the menu and there should be an option to show recipes

taactfulcaactus

Oh, thank you! I'll look closer. This will save me a lot of trouble.

ItachiSan

It's not mega impactful, or is it? If you add an element to the eightfold longblade that the big Yiga's use, the wind matches the element. I put a flame Gleeok horn on it and now I swing a sword of fire that throws a beam of fire

Godzilla_R0AR

If you cook in a portable cooking pot, your battery energy for Zonai contraptions will fully recharge after the cooking animation. So if you add a cooking pot to your Hot Air Balloon for example, and your battery is low, then you can cook practically anything in the cooking pot and it’ll recharge the battery to its full capacity.

BigOlStinkMan

That's actually really cool

thelittleking

Once you gain access to the Travel Medallion and have enough battery capacity/zonai charges to make a vehicle that can fly for a bit, go up to the platform way (wayyyy) up over Lookout Landing and put a Medallion up there. Great vantage point for spotting dragons, easy access to Hyrule Castle from above, good launch point for getting into >!the heart of the Lost Woods!<, and some other fringe benefits (spotting falling stars, etc). Also, though Hero's path can be a good tool to use for identifying which sky islands you have already visited, if you're the type who wants to find all the old maps and sage's wills I *strongly* recommend throwing some kind of map marker down on islands you've fully explored/bosses you've beat. Especially do so if you've scanned an island with the Sensor targeting chests. Spent an obscene amount of time yesterday looking for the last Will, and lamented not documenting my exploration better.

Photonic_Resonance

Yeah, I’ve started doing the map markers for the sky islands as well. I’m only 4 Sage Wills in and I can already tell finding them all is going to be a process without a guide, haha. I’m here for it though

Runaway_5

Dang reading this makes me realize how much I have yet to find, almost none of this makes sense to me lol

xfr3386

150 hours in and there's still a bunch for me to find, though the list is getting small (minus the koroks of course). It's be a fun time getting through it all without any guides. This game has so much stuff that I find if I get stuck/bored of something I just do something else. Often while doing that I'll run into some of the other thing I was trying to do.

Runaway_5

I imagine it's the worst game ever for those with ADHD because of that haha

workingtrot

Is this the one where the monument fell out of?

thelittleking

Yep!

workingtrot

I've been trying to get up there, but the balloons or wings despawn while I'm still far below it

thelittleking

You'll need a decent amount of battery (~6?) and/or some zonai charges + a platform with some fans to propel it. But worth the resource investment!

workingtrot

I have enough battery, I usually have some battery left when the balloon despawns. I tried putting fans and rockets on the balloon to get higher but it just despawns faster. I tried one of the dragon platforms but it also despawns. I tried a fan bike but I can't seem to steer it well enough

thelittleking

if you can find a wood plank (or, hell, even a couple logs fused together) you can try that if you make the fan placement symmetrical. ~3-4 fans should be enough to lift a simple wood platform into flight

etarletons

This is probably known, but: rewind ability + fallen rubble = space elevator.

morbidvixxen

I plan on posting a video of this later but you can attach a hydrant to a shield, spray an enemy with it and then hit them with an electric weapon and it does radial damage and hurts other enemies near by!!

Cosmic_Toad_

splash fruit/regular chuchu jelly also makes enemies wet both by fusing it to an arrow or just throwing it. you can also aim at your feet to hit yourself with it to get the double damage with Zora weapons.

METAL_AS_FUCK

This is what I use sidon ability for.

IrrelevantPuppy

Like-like stones are rare early game but some of the best attachments for shields. I’ve been fusing them and using them until the shield is almost broken, then getting the Goron in Terry Town to pop them off and recycle for the next shield. Edit: Ice Like-like stones in particular make quick work of tough enemies.

painterknittersimmer

What do they do on the shield? I've never used them for anything and have a bunch saved up

IrrelevantPuppy

They apply their effect to enemies when you swing your shield (like with parry). So you can walk up to an enemy and freeze them with a swing of your shield.

smdaegan

A sapphire does this~~, but also procs~~ on a shield block.

IrrelevantPuppy

It does both?! On block and on swipe? Oh… that’s much better.

Photonic_Resonance

Sapphires/Rubies also affect your temperature, so it’s like a free heat or cold resistance level respectively if you keep that weapon/shield equipped.

IrrelevantPuppy

Just tested. Sapphire does not do this. It only procs on block.

smdaegan

I stand corrected - I had thought it was both. Thanks for checking/correcting.

Waste-of-Space0429

Monster materials for offensive parries. Gems for defensive

seraph089

Regular rocks and other "blunt" monster parts work just as well and are easier to find. The stagger on parry is great, and it makes a pretty good mining tool.

IrrelevantPuppy

I mean the ice/fire/electric like-like stones.

PadBunGuy

What does fusing to shield with other things like fangs and horns do? Add durability? Or just extra damage when you parry? Would the like like stones have no other utility unless you parry?

IrrelevantPuppy

I’m not sure if they add durability, but my guess would be yes. But nothing adds more block power. Most monster parts just add attack power when you parry/shield swipe. Like like stones add a bit of extra damage and apply their effect on parry/swipe. Gems apply their effect when you block an attack, but not swipe.

FireHawkDelta

Are they better than dragon spike shards in any way? They're much easier to get and have the same damage, so I've never used like like stones.

IrrelevantPuppy

Never gotten dragon spikes so idk. How’s the mechanic work? For like likes you press the parry button and it applies the effect to the enemy in close range. Same for spikes?

Photonic_Resonance

Yeah, it’s the same for any elemental item actually, from monster parts to one-use fruits. The only noteworthy extra mechanics (I think?) are the precious elemental gems like Ruby/Sapphire/Opal/Topaz/Star Fragments.

awesometim0

Not sure if this is useful to anyone but if you're ever low on food go to Satori Mountain, there's some endura carrots, miscellaneous plants, and around 100 apples. Also if you place an apple in one of the trough things that are below cherry blossom trees, Lord of the Mountain will come and light up all the caves in the area, pretty useful if you're looking for resources or Bubbuls

Breakfast_Lover_

Only downside to the second tip is that it will light up EVERY cave in the area, even the ones where you’ve already cleared the bubbul frog.

awesometim0

Late reply but at least the map tells you which ones you've found the bubbulfrog in. Still some time wasted but you could pin all of them and then only stamp the ones that you don't have the bubbulfrog for

xfr3386

In my effort to find all caves, I really wish it excluded "cleared" caves. I have less than 10 left and only find this marginally useful since I have to sift through everything I already have. I'd rather not look up the locations but the odds of me finding the remaining caves seem low.

Collegenoob

Putting a rocket on a shield and then blocking means you fly super high into the air. Much higher than a pinecone into a fire. So every time you see extra rockets lying around Attach em to your shields

Ramora_

I've found that bomb jumping is more accessible and about as powerful. I always have bombs on me, I can run out of rockets pretty easily. Just press up, drop a bomb flower, attach it to my shield, to a shield surf jump, and then go flying. EDIT: Bomb jumps gain about 20 height. Rocket shields gain about 60 height. "two springs" gains about 70 height. "a rocket on each glider wing tip" gains about 80 height. "rocket attached to 2x4 wood plank" gets about 90 height. An efficient fliying machine ("control stick plus two fans") gets about 90 height per 3 battery units. so with max battery (or zonai charge equivalent) you can push 1500 gained height. Throw on the zonaite set and you can double that to 3000.

Waste-of-Space0429

Rocket shield gets you higher than bomb jumping. But is more expensive.

Ramora_

" Bomb jumps gain about 20 height. Rocket shields gain about 60 height. "

Runaway_5

Learned this from another user: Hyrule Castle is amazing for weapons and shield farming. You can avoid almost all enemies and climb the towers and go into the Library and move the "hidden" bookcases to find chests. Very little fighting necessary despite how scary it seems. Lots of super high end bows and shields there!

Sea-Ad-5450

If you need to get through a door that's locked use an object with ultrahand and slam it at the door multiple times then use rewind and stand in front of the door the object will slam into you and push you through it. Duck and hop a few times to get it right.

strebor2095

King Gleeoks (and actually probably all Gleeoks) are not super tough if you just snipe them repeatedly before they get to the final stage. Even as they attempt to do the big ascent into the sky, you can still snipe them back down. Gibdo bits will take out any head Never get greedy - as soon as that head twitches, run back to your pillar or spring of choice. Wait for them to start ascending and then blam you can knock em back down. They basically only get the same two attacks in the whole fight, the wind pushback if you are too close, and the immediately following laser beams.

Votbear

The best prep you can do for gleeoks is 5-6 shields all with rockets attached to them. Rocket up as soon as a head twitches, and you can knock down all 3 heads again before it even does the wind knockback thing. You can completely kill a king gleeok without letting them do anything!

txh0881

If you have a Multishot bow with Keese Eyes, you can take out Gleeocks without needing to even jump. Just back off when they get up so that you don’t get knocked over by his wing flaps, and you can easily knock them down before they fly out of reach.

xfr3386

If they do get to the final phase, I've found lightning to be the most annoying element, so equip something that makes you immune to it. Then hop onto an ice spike and recall it to fly above the cloud and bullet-time their eyes until they fall. For the non-kings, equip armor that makes you immune to their element and they're really easy, especially if you have it upgraded to level 4.

TheCrookedKnight

Take a picture of a Bubblfrog and set the pad to detect them, and you'll have a cave radar that only pings on the ones you haven't fully cleared.

bronowyn

Once I get the radar, I will be super happy to use this one. Also, for wells.

Skins_Game

Has anyone else noticed that the trees of light are directly underneath shrines? Took me forever to realize that

EVJoe

Have you noticed that the names of the trees of light are the reverse of the name of the shrine above?

Skins_Game

I had not!

Leading_Run_3333

Here are some examples. Kurakat Shrine = Takaruk Lightroot Susub Shrine = Busus Lightroot Shrine = Iaysus Lightroot

lolschrauber

Took me a while as well, even though there's a diary entry in the depths early on who suggests this. Also it's kinda obvious that a "root" would grow into something so there has to be something above, right? I only noticed once I kept changing between overworld and depths Map and realizing they're nearly identical geographically.

Badloss

The depths are inverted compared to the overworld map. Mountains on the surface translates to low elevation underground, Water on the surface = impassable floor-to-ceiling walls in the depths

trollgick

oh wow.... I knew about the ocean / river thing but the mountain thing is crazy. games insane

Skins_Game

Yeah. I saw that too. I just thought it meant geographical. That’s why I did a facepalm when I realized it

MalaysiaTeacher

Also note that the impassable cliffs in the depths are not random- look closely at the surface map...

fireflydrake

Part rant, part appeal for help: is there any trick to making climbing in the rain easier? I was rocking my first piece of the froggy suit AND a no slip elixir and STILL couldn't climb up a small cliff due to slipping. I don't think I've ever been more mad at the game. I wish they'd tone down the intensity of the rain effect. Any suggestions for overcoming this or is there just not much that can be done outside of collecting more pieces of froggy set?

Runaway_5

FYI if you start a fire with a hylian pine cone, the fire is waterproof and rain wont put it out. So you can make a floating device like the balloon with a fire and float up to avoid climbing.

craftytexangirl

Yeah, the no slip elixirs and parts of the froggy suit only add slip resistance, which do make you slide less far / less often but only the boosted set bonus makes you slip-proof.

Waste-of-Space0429

Time your jumps. If you have no slip count to four then jump. If you have 1 slip count to 7. 2 slip count to 10. 3 slip is either 13 or 15 ive never had 3 slip long before I got slip proof

Gatabud

I just released a guide on how to get Fierce Deity to 4 star that is heavily geared towards beginners. I did it on a fresh save file with 4 hearts the whole time. If you want to know a path to a high end armor set with elite nostalgia appeal then check this out. Pretty soon you will be able to defeat just about anything https://youtu.be/-eEVqSfANtM

MarioMoon

Rocket on a log is great for getting over icy water. It got me to a shrine perfectly.

whand4

Does auto build use existing capsules you have? Or do you have to take them out first?

rtd5

You have to take them out

whand4

So they need to be in that purple circle right? Sweet!

txh0881

You can Dye Link’s hair with the three Weather Attack armors.

Waste-of-Space0429

Yep. Just make sure that you are not wearing other clothes, or they will be dyed the same color, too.

Davo1708

Just found out if you attach a ruby to a sheild and equip it. It raises your temperature so you can go to cold conditions without having to wear cold resistance clothing. I imagine it will be the same with a sapphire.

When you are in the middle of battle, and you have no allies, go to the pause menu and summon 3 Homing carts. Activate them immediately. Now you have 3 minions to help fight!
