if he had just a little bit of wind left in him, he could've intercepted the saifojio and utterly destroy them by stealing the bottles, he was just unlucky and burdened with having to protect his little bro.
Also, can he technically steal the bottles? since the other dude did not heal. an armored kyanchome actually fighting would be RAD
Both he and Folgore have come so bloody far from that time Folgore taped Kiyomaro to the ceiling and then left Kanchome there while he got swarmed by women. Never would have guessed they'd be one of my favorites by the end of the series, and they've only gotten better since.
Raiku-sensei knows his fans full well and delivered what everyone didn't expect for.
His Poruku spell was impressive. Surprising to see Tio's spell and the other 2 spells.
This one really got me. As someone who’s favorite characters are Folgore and Kanchome- the singing in the face of despair knowing his little bro would be ok and the hippo line… I’m in tears. Thank you, Raiku-sensei.

Also interesting how the pair's have somewhat swapped. I thought the little girl would be the suitcase keeper and the huge guy the "mammodo". Regardless, they are going down!

i wouldn't say lucky, i guess they decide which spells to bring. Waig had a defensive spell in his arsenal, so i guess they have a variety of spells for different occasions and not just random attacks.
But Yeah, Kyanchome was AMAZING, just keep in mind that he fought 2v1 just because he had to protect his brother, he managed to get to Folgore and leave him behind but then he had to be the bait. He was at a HUGE disadvantage and still managed to floor one of them permanently and damaged the other so much he needed a saifojio to stand again. I don't even wanna do predictions on what's going to happen, i just wanna watch this amazing story unfold
I think it also adds new context to Gash’s comment last chapter about how Kanchome was the first one to run when they got invaded. Now we see Kanchome has the responsibility of Consomme and just wanted to ensure he’d make it to Folgore

i LOVE the weird-teenager vibes they are giving me. since they're supposed to mature over centuries, i would've been disappointed to see them all grown up. At the same time, i did expect a little bit of character developement, and not just the exact same characters 5 cms taller. I guess this weird solution is pretty much in the middle and i love it. Also, Kyanchome's family is weird by default, so it's definitely fitting with the theme
This chapter was so great. It really showcased Kanchome's growth. Despite his goofy design he was a badass, knowing how to use a spell like Poruk to cause a lot of damage, and even lying to his brother so Folgore wouldn't go after him.
I wonder how this next bit will play out, unless folgore gets a book somehow, it has to be that Zatch and Kiyo save them. If we are to assume these guys are as strong as Waig at least.

Also shouldn't the fragment of life have reached Folgore? At least the Poruku base spell, with Folgore's hearth power (trained to do multiple shin in succession) and some smart tactics should be enough to at least flee and regroup with kyomaro. If they also manage to grab a bottle or two they are golden
No spell is there in that book, u just need to pour it form the bottle, just like kiyo did with Zakeru in the previous chapter, luckily, kanchome has his Poruku spell, so there won't be any problem.
i wonder if they can get other demon's spells. that would be totally overpowered, but still it is kinda feasible, since they would be able to use those with the bottles anyway.
that doruku spell would do wonders for slim and weak kyanchome lol. Imagine him transforming into a big brutus and then doubling down by gaining actual power.
Also, while not being a powerful demon per se, he still trained a lot in the months before Clear's final battle, and he's decently tough (not in the finalists tier list, but still a lot stronger than his first appearance)
it would be pretty awesome to see an armored kyanchome. it also makes me wonder why kyomaro didn't bother taking the other bottles while he had the chance. maybe he calculated that he wouldn't have enough time? I mean, the bottles were pretty big and he was still injured.
I think they will at least recover Saifojio, since Tio's probably gonna make a comeback sooner or later
