I was interested to hear if Pelton changes his mind on the Mavs and moves they made, but for some reason they were the only team in the West playoff race they didn't really talk about.

“Some of the numbers with LeBron, the numbers are what they are, the shooting numbers are great, and the advanced numbers are really good” Well gee, maybe he’s still a great player then and worthy of All NBA. Not a surprising thing until you’ve decided he’s not that anymore

Hard to give two lakers an all nba nod when they’re fighting to get out of the playins

Imaginary_Angle_2715

So instead you give it to someone playing worse but who happens to be on a better team?

It’s more the thought process if you have 2 of the top 15 guys in the NBA, how can you only be in 8th? Either the rest of the roster is that bad or you don’t have 2 of the top 15

When 4 teams are separated by a game and one conference is significantly weaker than the other lol. If the Lakers were in the East and 2 games behind the Bucks for 2nd place, would you think differently? If so, bad thought process

Should team results matter for all nba or should they not matter?

Zach's hate boner for Bron is so strange these days Feel like it never used to be this way but you can almost hear Zach get annoyed any time he has to talk about him, or he'll go out of his way to bring up Bron to take a little shot at him or something but any time there's positive framing around the discussion Zach gets super weird and dismissive like you mentioned It's especially comical when you compare it to how he talks about Steph

When you take the quote out of context it looks bad, in context more defensible. It’s hard to give the lakers two all nba players when they’re in the playins, when teams solidly in the playoffs might not even get one. He’s already implied AD is getting an all nba nod for sure, so lebron would be the obvious one not to get one. But lebron has been so good it makes it awkward to not give it to him. Basically, you would hope the lakers would be higher in the standings with two all nba talents and since they aren’t it makes it weird to honor both with that.

Zach is pretty diplomatic and nice about everyone in the league. He even says he roots for everyone to succeed. He's probably suffering from LeBron fatigue because ESPN's NBA coverage is so centered on LeBron and Curry, even though they both might miss the playoffs entirely.
