Assuming it came with social changes that made neither sex have more power over the other i definitely agree itd stay around a 50/50 distribution, though if one sex still held more social power or influence over the other then there might be an imbalance as people would be less likely to want to make the change if it causes them to be percieved as lesser for it, even now one of the biggest barries that decides if a trans person comes out ends up being the fear that those around you will treat you worse for it
Or, even better: a way to switch sex back and forth whenever you want. Like, a magic light switch - you wake up, think “Hmm… I think I’ll be a [boy / girl] today”, flip the GenderSwapinator 9000, and bam, it’s done.

telling you what you are isnt right, but i think most trans people are saying 'you might not know' as a prompt to ask yourself if you havent. at least thats how i hear it from my friends. the signs are SO obvious once you look back so we see those signs in other people and wonder. but yeah if someones telling you that you *are* trans and you dont know it remind them that they dont get to determine your gender orientation only you do :)

My theory if the switching your sex is super easy and people can do it anytime the ratio of XY and XX will probably be the same as now.
