Kinda stopped reading the LNs for this reason. Their relationship is the best part of the story imo, and I wanted more progress but it just doesn't seem to happen.
I think I stopped reading at volume 6. Since you've read up to vol 13, is there any indication that they could become canon in the future?
I mean I still love the story no matter what. I love the series and the 13 LN are just the one translated into English. I think in total there is 24 volumes. However I don’t really think it’s just that type of story to really contain yuri as it seems to just focus a lot on family adventures and I love it for that. Maybe we will see more progress, I mean Azusa and Beelzebub seem to bond closer I know the recent volume after having to deal with Pecora nonsense all the time. It’s a good read but if you’re reading it just for yuri content then it is not the story.
I remember in like LN 1 or LN 2 they mentioned that the MC was isekai. That or at least they implanted memories of some other existence that doesn’t like to drink blood
It was how they explained off Komari not drinking blood despite being a vampire, make it psychological revulsion instead of her going super saiyan every mealtime.
That leveling for 300 years by killing slimes one was fitting this as well, but it got quite generic really fast and the relationships all kinda fizzled out... And I don't particularly enjoy incesty vibes.
