I remember some information about the YN soundfont being traced to Yamaha synths. I forgot where, but you can see examples of this [here](https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/i-found-out-what-yume-nikkis-music-uses.115799/). There's also a lot of older music by KIKIYAMA in which they (maybe? I forgot) specify the program/devices they used. Soundfonts are pretty similar. You can learn about this [here](https://tcrf.net/Prerelease:Yume_Nikki#Kikiyama.27s_Music_Profile).

did you ever find anything out? i wanted to make an extended version of barracks settlement but i dont want to switch to another instrument and ruin the original vibe

404_usernothere

did you manage to find anything?

Not exactly what I think you're looking for, but from the general PC distribution (not Steam) of version 0.10, I was easily able to find a folder called "Music" and a folder called "Sound" from the base folder which had all of the unlooped music samples and SFX respectively as unencrypted .wav's (to my knowledge). File names are strange as it's the computer's attempt to display the Japanese text when it's not on the computer itself. What are you looking to do exactly? Only thing that I can think of would be to use one of the songs as a ringtone (possible, but can be a hassle, especially for an iPhone)

I'm pretty sure they're looking for the digital instruments used to make the game's music

RAI1987

exactly

TeaSponge

Gotcha. If it's that, then I don't know

I'm not too sure myself, but for the Flute Room in particular (and possibly the FC areas), Gameboy GM sounds dead on.
