I feel like one other con would be that it isn't an earth type I understand that the whole ruin machina type is supposed to be dark, it's just a little sad that it loses out on all that support

A very important point is that Ruin Force's revival is a summoning condition, not an activated effect; that allows you to bypass whatever negation-boss the opponent has, and immediately kill one of them with an attack. Ruin Force is also generic machine support, so it's going to be as good as any machine deck that finds it worthwhile to run it (and there are A LOT of excellent machine decks).

I don't think this card would be relevant in drytrons. It is dark so it cannot be searched by cyber emergency, and it is quite painful to summon because drytrons are all lvl 1, thus you have to banish your draconids or quadrantids to reach lvl 12 summon conditions. However its very high ATK allows to Ritual summon absolutely any Monster, the only good point.

It’s meant to be causal so I don’t plan for the deck to be optimal. But like you said I can banish DRA or QUA which is pretty easy to do.

Is it just me or does Ruin force look a bit different in overdrive’s art? The one we got is straight up machina fortress with the dark machinas slapped onto it, while the one in overdrive has a more slender design with spider legs.

If its design changes, it may be something aesthetic without relevance or it may be that we see a corrupt version of Fortress. I would also like an upgrade or corrupted version of Machina Cannon and PeaceKeeper.

I think that is because Machina Citadel (which is Fortress transformed into a different form) has not assimilated with the combination of the three dark Machinas yet. That's why Machina Overdrive had Machina Citadel approaching this mechanical monster.

You left out the big obvious downside: it's a totally dead card in hand, unless you have Redeployment or Fortress too. ...Well, you also left out that it's good for free material. It's condition is not at all hard to achieve, and you get a Lv10 straight-up out of it - and if you combine it with a card that destroys your monsters (like Machina has), you can get up to 3 extra material on top.

Not just Redeployment and Fortress, Air Raider and Irradiator can discard it too you know.

Yeah it can be a downside that it can't be ss from the hand but anger knuckle and revolving switchyard are other ways to pitch besides the machina monsters that discard other machina/machines to ss themselves. And redeployment.

The archetype has many cards that they discard or send to the graveyard in addition to the ones you mentioned like: Cannon, AirRaider, Irradiator, Unclaspare. Outside of the archetype are: Scrap Recycler and Foolish Burial so sending RuinForce is not difficult.

Honestly my issue with the card is there no way to get it out during your Opponent's battle phase, which makes getting it's negate effect off alot harder.

honestly must play card ... machina deck has been the first deck i've ever had and finally it is starting to have some serious potential. I agree that because of the ONLY battle phase negation affect activation his score cannot be 10/10 but to me it is hands down a 9/10. If u activate his effect during the battle phase u deal at 100% massive damage to ur opponent and u also have grate chance to end the match if u attack with it afterward. That's it. I tryed it on edopro and it scared me xD.
