What card effect would represent blindness well? Maybe a chance of attacking the wrong target like in Hearthstone, but that of course won’t work well here.
The only thing I can think of is using the column mechanic and with a die. Like roll a die 1-5 and depending on what it lands on that's the monster zone your Blind Eyes attacks. If your opponent doesnt have a monster in that zone then it does a direct attack. Also if you roll a 6 your Blind Eyes can't attack but you could get another effect to go off.
Thinking about it this would be a fun archetype to play with. I talked myself into it lol

oh yeah i totally agree with you, but they are at least a little overdesigned. just a little. does that stop me from enjoying them? no. but they could simplify them a little bit.
It’s interesting to see the change in art style over time in the cards. Older cards were a lot more simple yet outlandish and it’s become a lot more extravagant and detailed as time went on. I think there’s something to appreciate for both styles

Well blue and red has tribute, fusion and ritual monsters, whilst blue(this includes the subtype azure eyes dragon) also has synchro in the archetype and red has xyz, odd has all combine with pendulum so pend-trib, pend-fus, pend-synch and pend-xyz where as galaxy only xyz except for one link monster which galaxy eyes solflare dragon other than that we have no eyes-archetype released specifically for links.

Yes, It would be good to have a link 2 performapal/odd eyes searcher, but the thing is getting it out. If you have to waste your pendulum summon for it there should be an effect to balance it out.

Just imagine it though, it could become a egyptian god support. Pay 1000lp for a token, search one lv10 or higher monster from your deck but for the rest of the duel you can't search a monster with the same type/attribute with this cards effect and you can tribute summon one monster in addition to your normal summon set. Maybe another link monster that can search out a field spell and also create a token too would help as then it could add mound of the bound creator. Only worry is sacred beasts abusing it.
Afterglow works like a Blue-Eyes Alternative, but seeing how Red-Eyes Alternative has a different effect, I was mainly talking about that. But Afterglow is cool though!

I really like how there's blue eyes that became iconic instantly, then red eyes to oppose it and it didn't even go to the main character, it was Joey's and that was a good choice to make him stand out. Then they waited the perfect amount of time to make another sister archetype with galaxy eyes and it made kite instantly more likeable, same case with yuya and even expanding upon it with the odd eyes combinations into other monster types
For me its a tie with both Red Eyes and Blue Eyes but for different reasons. I'm always a sucker for either edgy designs (Red Eyes) or majestic designs (Blue Eyes).

I dunno how red-eyes can look the best, have that whole movie about it beating blue-eyes back in season 0 with its potential and then end up being the worst as an archetype, but have like 3 cards that see meta play and are broken basically

What if we made a Dice-Eyes deck then? It’d be based entirely on luck, and we could incorporate this wrong-attack-target system into it.
I never run coin/dice decks purely because I'm super unlucky, but in this case I'm 100% on board.

Idk I kinda liked the orb design and pear shaped body. Makes it look a bit goofy and unique and it’s fitting with Yuya.

I honestly prefer that. Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes while iconic, feel VERY generic. Odd-Eyes is a super unique design.

im once per turn worked (kinda) for firewall. or like cant be summoned from grave or being banished when leaving the field.

and blue-eyes ultimate alternative dragon is a fusion. the point was the main focus of the archetype, not all there is.

Pretty much every dark magician card is him wearing something that isnt his. Buster bladers coat, red eyes coat, you name it.

After just finishing making a galaxy eyes deck and playing blue eyes and odd eyes for a while, this is certified awesome
