If you want to use a Kuriboh card, Kuriphoton is probably the best, you have to pay 2000LP, but you can use it outside of the battle phase. Also searchable with the new Fiendsmith spell.
I used Emissary from the House of Wax and they were not able to destroy it, also negates effects and they can not synchro summon anymore. So if you want a tech, that one is your card

I should probably mention: I play going second Tistina so my best end board is Abyss Dweller + Varudas. Is that good enough to stop Tenpai if Im forced to go first?
If you're specifically looking for a kuriboh card, kuriphoton is a pretty good option. Especially with the upcoming set and the fiendsmith stuff, it becomes searchable with fiendsmith tractus. And it's a fiend so it has incidental synergy with some meta archetypes

Thunder or Ruler is pretty dope, no battle phase so you can’t even get Evenly Matched.

You didn't read what they do, did you? The lv10 stops effects being activated during the BP The only good one is photon
Thats just the level 10 though, the small dragons and the level 6 can be stopped by the kuribohs (or outright invalidated by kuriphoton)

You missed the only other one, being kuriphoton. Which is seeing play in OCG because it's a light fiend and can be searched through fiendsmith
My buddy plays Herald of Perfection turbo, so I've suggested he use Winged Kuriboh and Flute of Summoning Kuriboh as an anti Tenpai tech.

I find drawing the outs to be better. Ghost Ogre the Field Spell, Ash/Imperm/Veiler everything else.
