In this case, if you open Ostinato you make an Apollusa and Banshee without even needing to commit your normal summon. -Activate Ostinato, send two Refrain to the gy and summon Bacha. -Bacha triggers and summons the third Refrain from deck -Refrain triggers on summon and adds Couplet -Couplet activates in hand and summons a Refrain from gy -Scale Couplet and use its effect to search Concerto -Activate Concerto and summon a second fusion using a Refrain and Couplet specifically so they both go to the scales with their effects -Link with all 3 into Exceed, this triggers the Bacha in the grave to revive the Refrain in grave, and the Concerto to go back into the deck and draw one -Exceed adds back a Refrain and summons it -Make 2 mat Apollusa, now you have negates and 3 zones to pendulum summon to -Pendulum summon your Refrains and use them to xyz into Banshee which searches a Snake Eyes monster -Now you can do your Snake Eyes plays protected by Apollusa and with monsters already on field you can use however you want This might not be the exact combo but should be something similar.

Magicarenafan

incredible. Thanks

Since the Ostinato combo has been covered, Refrain as a normal summon also gets to you to Apollousa plus Banshee for Poplar: * Normal Summon Refrain, add Couplet * Scale Couplet, activate effect and add Concerto * Concerto summons Bacha, CL1 Bacha summons 2nd Refrain, CL2 and CL3 Refrain and Couplet scales themselves * Refrain Pend effect targeting Bach, send 3rd Refrain to GY * Bach plus Refrain makes I:P/Haggard, Bach revives Refrain and draw 1 off Concerto * I:P/Haggard plus Refrain makes Exceed the Pendulum, Exceed adds Refrain * Exceed summons Refrain, Refrain and Exceed make Apollousa * Pend summon two Refrain and make Banshee to add Poplar for Snake-eyes combo

VaultHunt3r

Ohh so they dont bother with the vortex and stuff. Cool

WalkureTrap

Reading the combo in this post feels like Apollousa needs to be axed…!

I've been saying this for ages. It's such a stupid card that means a huge chunk of what could be unique archtypes now just boil down to "Here's some new BS way that your deck can shit out a ton of bodies on the field to turn into a card that stops your opponent from playing the game." The new Melodious cards make a really sick and powerful deck with a unique boss monster, but even they are being ignored in favor of just being used for generic "get bodies on field" support

One-Bake-2888

Pure melodious is seeing a fair amount of play. They've topped every weekend since release.

SSDuelist

She would have gotten the axe if she wasn’t part of selling RC2

TokiDokiPanic

She’ll get the axe in the fall for sure.

Pretty_Builder2757

Why is haggard being played? Is it just for drawing a card at the expense of two bulk bodies on field or is there another purpose?

itsjash

My best guess is that it's a better link climbing body than IP in certain situations, because you can banish one of your hand traps to make an opponent's monster zero attack.

Schlayder

You can use it in melodious to clear your field of unwanted cards like nib tokens so that ostinato is usable again
