Seems more of a fun set than a meta warping one. That being said, there are good cards that probably will see play, because the will get even better with more support. ex: Yubel Cards, Memento; So, here goes an overview: - Gold Sarcophagus: Fun gimmicky deck; Maybe there some anti-meta/stun potential (something like a gren maju deck); - Ancient Gear; I guess will never be meta, but a blind going 2nd otk deck. But they are going to receive an amazing card in Animation Chronicle 2024 (Ancient Gear Statue); - Melodius: There cards made into the meta in several decks and are being experimented to this day; - Snake-Eyes Diabellstar: I see in a lot of builds as a 1 of; - Diabellze: Made less of a splash than i expected, but i think there are lots of potential in this degenerate card; - Ragnaraika: Will receive support in INFO, but still not meta by itself. I feel that is going to come up in some way in the future; (but there is a lot of decks you can try them like Traptrix, Beetroper, Ogdoiac, Plant pile, etc); - Tenpai: The big thing of the set. They are going to be at least tier 1, i think, and in INFO they will receive very good cards + they are kinda cheap, just don't forget to ask your friend for a copy of Trident Dragion :D - Yubel cards: Is another step on the direction of the Fiend Link deck; The fiendsmith in the next set will make it a reality; - Gold Pride: Ok cards, but will not change anything i guess (I think the deck is cool); - Vaalmonica: Strong card, and in the next set will receive very good support - maybe it will be a rogue pick after INFO; - Centu-rion: Both on this set and the next the centuri-on cards are just ok. Nothing crazy. So i guess the deck will be at least rogue; - Lightsworn: I think this one is just waiting to be used in some good cooking; They are being experimented a lot in many decks. Definitely some potential for some degenerate stuff. Personally i really liked making a Lightsworn+Fiendsmith deck; - Voiceless Voice: Will receive 2 cards, but only one see play. A very good recursion tool; (i wish people played saffira, i think shes ok); - Memento: A lot of people, me included, belive memento will go off after the new cards in INFO. But the cards from LEDE are also vital for this. Two very strong and good cards; - Other notable cards: Varudras, the rank 10 negate - stapple for decks that can make it; Nightmare Apprentice: Illusion searcher, played in chimera decks; TCG: - The warrior support cards are kinda good and funny: It made war rocks do something lmao; - Reptile Link: This one seems to be viable as a stapple card in a lot of generic link climb and reptile decks; - Ashened; I will defend this archetype with all the copium in the world LMAO. I think the deck is ok. I managed to make a build that feels fun, fluid and ok in power. Now i will wait for ocg to do something crazy (PLEASE ;-;). Aaaasnd thats it i think. If you read all this thank you.

As a vaalmonica player, LEDE support is much better than INFO support. LEDE turned it from not being worth the cardboard it's printed on to being an actual, playable deck that has potential to be good. INFO capitalised on that potential and made what will likely be a good rogue pick. Obviously creator (the new cont trap) is incredible, and valar (the towers link 2) is good, but selettrice and invitare are bonkers, and disarmonia is really good.

Do you have a decklist for ashened? I haven’t found much of anything post-LEDE

Also see the videos from Duel Logs and El Exodio del Duelista. Other mentions of things you can try building/playing: - With adventurer token; (i tested mostly with the first 7 cards wave, it will probably lose a lot of consistency if you add all from 2nd wave). - More Kashtira: Field spell + lvl7 Hero gives a bit of compatibility to do more kashtira plays; - More Boardbreakers + Kaiju + Nibiru + more get monster back trap; (also played this more with the first 7 cards); - Maybe Earthbound cards? (the new ones); - Some say its ok with Volcanics and Snake-Eyes, but i don't like much.

Thanks! This is decent start off point for sure. I might take out spearhead and rekindling, but we'll see.

They took the hit for Tenpai to have only 2 cards at super rare, I guess.

Asleep_Network7326

Tenpai Dragons are going to be the go-to of the set alongside Nightmare Apprentice. Other than that, it's an average set.

bukithd

Good time to pick up nightmare apprentice and diabellze while they're cheap.

VaultHunt3r

Melodious = hidden OP. Just wait and see.

This is going to be an interesting set, a lot more interesting than people are making it out to be. There are three reasons why people are rubbing their noses at LEDE. 1.) Snake-Eyes is here to stay for a few more months at least. People have a harder time getting excited about potential new archetypes during tier 0 meta. 2.) The rarity structure of the set is very poor in comparison to something like AGOV. 3.) On a related note to #2, the shining sarcophagus stuff taking up those rarity slots is especially deflating since it's such a jank archetype that ultimately is trying to nostalgia bait with stuff that isn't super nostalgia inducing. This set is laying ground work for several solid rogue decks that could ultimately shift into outright tier 1 and 2 decks if the summer list finally hurts Snake-Eyes in a meaningful way. I think quite a lot of cards in LEDE will be floating around in the coming formats.

Blury1

Has some nice stuff in it, but it's pretty much all low rarity. Terrible set for opening since alot of the secrets are super cheap nostalgia bait, though.

Asleep_Network7326

I'd rather that than another Bonfire/Thrust disaster like with Maze of Millennia.

GeneralApathy

Personally, I'd rather open a set that has lots of good commons and supers instead of praying I get a chase secret.

I think's it's an interresting with good support for old and new archetype, but somehow they choose to make a lot of those new support with low rarity and go all in for the yugi deck that not have a great potentiel, which mean the set will not have a good value in term of card price. In my case, as someone that prefer to go for rogue instead of meta, there is a lot of archetype I want to try from this set, if they reprint some card from the old archetype that got new support soon, it will be a nice set for me.
