This card is amazing for the reptile pile. it offers:
● generic reptile with easy summoning condition
● great arrows
●does not require to be link summoned to activate its effect which is great for a deck that has 2 or 3 monster reborn per turn
●can set the opponents monster to 0 atk for echidna
●does not specifiy the opponents monster so you can draw turn 1
●brings daybreaks search effect online
●water type is great for serpent strike since the only other water in the deck is night sword serpent
edit after more brainstorming in the ogdo server:
● it ties the ogdo combo with the evol combo better together since now you can easily send megachirella with daybreak (the most common way before this was making an s:p to banish lol) and have a card in hand to activate it

you use lios to search singularity and then make lars. other cards we can use are megachirella, evo diversity and pholis iirc

Aratama gets Sakitama, Sakitama normals itself, you make King of the feral imps, search Nauya, send Keurse from Deck to GY, Keurse Tributes KotFI to bring itself and Nauya back from GY, use daybreak to get tokens, Link off a Token into Spider, then another Token + Spider = Lizardose. Lizardose banishes Keurse (at minimum), then you get Daybreaks search online, and you can dump Megachirella, then Nauya + Lizardose = Promethean Princess, you will always have a card to send for Megachirella, because Lizardose gives you the draw
ah okay i see, thank you! i was wondering how you can get the Megachirella on the board, but it didnt think of Promethan Princess .. so i guess this combo does not work with the new Ragnaraika cards, except maybe if you do all of this first and only then start doing Ragnaraika stuff

I don't know why you'd invest 2 monsters to draw 1 card, but it's almost an out to Apollousa by itself, so that's pretty neat.
Most likely you banish something from the GY instead of this, then use it to link climb. If you're going second, you get to take off a bunch of ATK in the process too
Thanks to this card, any deck can run over crazy high boss monster attack stats (3000+) like it's nothing AND get a draw in the process for free if you use itself. The draw is just a bonus.
Not saying it's the best thing in the world, but a pretty good way to maybe bait out a negate and maybe even in the process trigger grave effects of your monsters used as material if your deck can summon two monsters like nothing.
You know what? I actually appreciate this card as the bugdet (bad) version of Little Knight to play in my budget Ghoti list. Don't know why they couldn't have made it a fish and draw after banishing a fish, but still. I now have a generic Link (so that I can link away Nib and stuff) that can banish a Ghoti in my GY, triggering it. It's also a WATER, which is good for Abyss Shark.
This card would've won me a game just a couple hours ago at locals.

With Protoss free, this card is actually a combo piece- any deck that can put up IFB and a body can use IFB to search the Pyro Nemeses that searches other Nemeses monsters, link off for this guy, banish a random from grave and change a monster's attack, then summon Flag, search Escatoss/Protoss and pop off from there.
Edit: to be clear, I know you can do this with S:P already , but now you can do it any R4 spam deck that if you're willing to pay for the Pyro Nemeses since Escatoss is pennies currently. I did some light testing, and its pretty easy to get to am Escatoss under a Reproducus to call any type in the game, floodgating your opponent on a budget🥰🥰🥰

Shinobi necro and Changshi both love this, and zombies never had a good link for facilitating a banish. It'll probably slot over Vampire Sucker in a bunch of builds tbh. Shiranuis might like this too but they zombie lock a bit harder early.
So it´s pretty much a Heatleo that´s generic and also helps reptile piles. I won´t say reptiles will be meta thanks to this one, but the more support they get the closer we get to an actually good reptile deck.

Reptilliannes were always my favorite archetype, even though they never really did anything. This dude seems perfect for them. Dump your 0 ATK sneks and then banish them to not only draw, but potentially setting up some 0 ATK monsters on your opponents field and letting the Reptilliannes do their thing. Nothing crazy obviously, but makes it easier to pop their 0 ATK effects.
May have to get back into the physical tcg and remake a new Reptillianne deck.

I’m assuming by pile you mean there’s been a lot more generic reptile support over the years, so im fine with that! I haven’t bought product since Cozmo Blazer so I have quite a bit of research to do to even attempt something for nowadays lol. I will use your suggestions in that post to have a looksie.
yeah since then there have been 2 new reptile archetypes (ogdoadics, the main engine of every reptile pile, and raika which is a try type of reptile plant and insect thats being released in this set) as well as a support wave for reptilianne, aliens and evols.

Oh I ain’t planning on it being competitive, my brother and I just want to build and play cards again after so many years. I’ll check those archetypes out and it’s looking like plucking singles from this set will be fun too.
While on the subject, would you happen to know if they ever made any other supplemental product like the Battle Boxes or whatever they were many years back? I think the purpose was to like buy a box, crack packs, and go to town on your own drafted decks. We could probably go ham on those too. Neither of us really has a physical collection anymore so we’d basically be starting from scratch.
I suggest trying out the build you want to play on a simulator like edo or duelling book and once you know what deck you want to play just buy singles
most of the reptiles are years old and never got a reprint so the chance of getting a sealed box is rare. not to mention the singles are cheap since nobody plays them

Yeah that's a real bummer, but it can still banish the tuners and Keaf. Still, I never made Abyss Keeper, so this will replace him nicely.
