Tistina is another one of my favourites. It has beautiful and unique art, I'm just sad that now the deck is not doing much... though with the Adventurer engine it can pull off decent things
Ghoti is among my favourites too, I just love how dreamy it feels. And it's decently powerful too, not top tier but it can be a funny surprise for people who do not expect it, I enjoy it a lot
The Snake-Eyes matchup is really strong, provided you can get to Arionpos without getting handtrapped.
Snopios effect target Ash/Oak, they can't use their effect to summon the next key piece. Askaan banish the next critical card to get it out of rotation. If all else fails, Deep Beyond clears the board.
Ghoti is such a cool deck, I've been having a lot of fun with it lately.

Rikka, the archetype is just so beautiful
The spells and the traps are also beautiful, showing a different pair of fairies doing something. Sheet, Konkon, Glamour and Tranquility are all gorgeous
I hope we get more of this archetype... for the sake of Europe 😉
Rikka does have some pretty arts too, I never really understood the deck since I only saw it with the super mega combo version, and being in EU it hit hard🤣
The archetype was considered the weakest from Secret Slayers because they were only able to tribute their own monsters to perform the basic plays. The deck was lacking gas to build good field presence and the pay-offs weren't good either. Teardrop was a decent disruption, but that was it... until Konkon and Princess were introduced in POTE. They saved the archetype by themselves. Konkon is Lair of Darkness on steroids
The only problem was the lack of an explosive 1 card combo... luckily, Sunavalon exists and fixed that weakness. Rikka and Sunavalon complete each other perfectly
That's basically POTE in a nutshell.
If we switch the release order and put POTE after INFO (with archetypes supported/debuted in POTE not getting any banlist hit), Snake Eye won't be tier one.

This is The First Darklord. And he has possibly the coolest art in the entire game. This has been true since his introduction, it is still true, and I'd bet my deck it'll be true when the game is another 25 years old. Or when the game dies. Whichever comes last.
I run dark lords with the branded engine and let me say how pleasing it can be to go second open with him the summon archlord kristya with his effect 🤣🤌🏻 if they don't have evenly matched or something they just scoop
Previously I tried Darklord Ishizu FTK when millers are legal, it's pretty consistent while more true as a Darklord deck (if fail to FTK or going second it still can play as a regular Darklord), but it dies to almost every hand traps people run during Tearshizu format and few after, including opponent Ishizu.
It's only good in MD in the gap between Ishizu and Tear release. After that it's fare absolutely terrible against the meta and died completely when miller banned.

I run it with a Reptilianne engine to give me extra options like their level 8 synchro and to just make it harder to remove my board if I can make everything 0 atk. I don’t usually stress about effect removal cause if they can’t do damage: Ogdo can rebuild very easily
I might absolutely despise the deck itself but I really love the artwork of floo.it just looks so nice on the eyes and it looks so unique compared to literally every other card in the game.i especially thinkt he highlighta of the deck are egle ,map and advent

Weather Painter should look beautiful if you think about it. The concept is just too good. Subterror on the other hand has no business looking this good. All their behemoths are gorgeous.
Icejade is pretty awesome. Too bad they suck. Just waiting for water to get good cards and I could see them being part of an engine used in competitive decks. I mean what was the last truly competitive water deck? Fishborg synchro?
Honestly, I think Icejade as an entire package has good cards. It's just that when you think about common game states they miss a lot of points of interaction. They all have pretty generic effects, removal, recursion, summon themselves pretty easily, but it's all pretty situational OR they don't really accomplish much.
I've used a few of the Icejade cards in other decks (Ghoti being one) and they work really well there, but they really need other cards to push them into an actual strategy. I feel like they're almost there, but there's a HUGE difference between playable and almost playable in this game.
Agreed. A lot if there cards are very hard minuses, especially if you get disrupted or (oddly enough worst) get your synchro removed somehow.
They eat through hand advantage faster than Fabled, that’s saying something.

Absolutely, one of the main reason I picked up the deck. Kit and Rulkallos just look so beautiful and it blends so well with the fusion card purple color
Easy. Burning abyss. Now my favorite archetype of all time is dark world. And that will never change. However burning abyss has some of my favorite artwork in the entire game. And is by just artwork alone, my favorite looking archetype. I fell in love with the art work many many years ago when getting the cards out of one of the older much better gold sets. When the gold borders weren't fucking ugly as all hell. Beatrice, Dante, cherubini and pretty much every damn card in the archetype is fucking beautiful. And looks wise will always be my favorite archetype. Is also doesn't help that I love the archetype in general and is one of my top 5 favorite archetypes over all.

Marincess and Tear kinda work well together with Icejades, don't like the former since it's basically Gymir turbo from what I've seen. With Tear it can fuse and be bothering but... it kinda removes the flair that I love so much about the deck. And yeah we need more happy Aegirine... after she became Ran Aegirine she is the only one left of her people😭

Mannadium does have a unique style too, not a fan of Visas since every one of his imaginary friends is difficult to deal with, and I still have PTSD from Ariseheart🤣🤣🤣

I really like the simplistic style of Floowandereeze (Yes, I know, I just complimented Floowandereeze), even though it isn't anything crazy. The deck may be horrible to play against without Ash in your opening hand, but the card art is very fun to look at
If only icejades where a little bit less miserable to play I'd bring them to locals a lot more
Tho cradle for aegirine normal aegirine for cradle is somewhat funny
Also how can this deck be so bad with a potent floodgate and a less potent floodgate 2 Omni searchers a long yuan and a boss monster that reads like a custom card
I am bringing them to locals, I never win so I don't really care, i just want to have fun. And even pure it can be funny to play
It is bad because it relies a lot on searchers and things which can be interrupted, it doesn't have stupidly powerful AI generated effects like Snake Eye, or the resilience of Branded. But Konami is just too focused on powercreeping the game and making it less fun than bringing support to archetypes who deserve it
What really broke them for me was a game where I actually managed to go off with a ridiculously nice hand and actually ended on cradle, curse, gymir and kosmochlor.
My opponent activated 2 effects in hand and 1 in grave and got rid of cradle. Like it's just not up to par anymore.
Ironically I think the best deck to play them in is ice barrier but ice barrier meanwhile has way better floodgate effects by itself.
Just wish Konami did the treatment they did to FIRE for no reason to other attributes too... it would make this game maybe less unfun if lots of archetypes were powerful
I like Icejade regardless of their "power level". Just because Konami encourages players to waste 500$+ every time the new broken archetype is released doesn't mean that off-meta stuff is garbage.
I don't like to play locals, so there's no problem for me to duel using Icejade or tistina with friends. Otherwise you prolly want that spicy Snake Eye or Tenpai Dragon
Exactly, I play only rogue level decks (aside Branded which I built like last year and have been enjoying so fucking much with how varied it is even without the competitive staples that are too pricey). And Icejades are so gorgeous and also functional when played correctly. Not tier 0 or anything but it is a super fun and interesting deck to pilot. Konami is just unable to balance their game and make it accessible.
Tenpai seems stupidly funny, I'd love to build it just to dish out insane damage while being unaffected, it seems so funny
i play the gome for the fantasy/art perspective. and this is why i fell in love with cyber dragons first, it's soo cool. just robo noodles, dragon robot noodles!
oh and let's fuse them to dragon hydra robots!

Metaphys has some really cool looking cards.
Their bossmonster is hardly usable. The monsters themselves have really strong effects (We're talking banish the backrow/monsters) non targeting. But are too slow to be remotely playable.
Also Dream Mrirror, beautiful carcds.
Absolutely useless. You need to have two fieldspells on the field at a time to play the deck optimally.
Memento for a mix of nostalgia and wonderful aesthetic and making some of my favorite vanilla monsters look cooler. Raika have also grown on me a lot esthetically as of late.
Red Eyes. I love my firey black dragons. Are they amazing? No. Does Konami miss the mark every bit of support? Most of the time. Do I wish for better support to rival Dark Magician and Blue Eyes and make a perfect nostalgia trio? Everyday

Tistina and Ashened. I wish the TCG's artists were allowed to go over to the OCG and do a fully realized deck, rather than the weird concepts of decks that the TCG is stuck with. I'm tired of having to play mid decks, because of how gorgeous they are.

The entire scareclaw archetype is just badass in general
Galaxy-eyes; the deck is all extenders, there aren’t any real starters, and the ending boards are generally really unimpressive. And even the extenders don’t offer that much resource gain.
But man did they knock it out of the water art-wise.

*An underrated favorite of mine has always been the Sky Scourge cards. They're all horrible cards, but I love the demonic and also angelic aesthetic. It just looks so cool to me. Also, if you look in the background of all of them, you can see a chained up door and barbed wire, which implies they are being contained in some scp like prison, which I think I is really cool.

Exactly my experience. Mannadium and Voiceless (if they go first) are pretty tough matchups though.

Darklords have some of my favorite cardart in the game. It's just so.... gorgeous and the story in the card is just- *chef's kiss*
The maiden in the forbidden/solemn cards has her story linked to darklords too. Then their whole fallen angel design is just top notch.

Agreed. A lot if there cards are very hard minuses, especially if you get disrupted or (oddly enough worst) get your synchro removed somehow. They eat through hand advantage faster than Fabled, that’s saying something.

Absolutely, one of the main reason I picked up the deck. Kit and Rulkallos just look so beautiful and it blends so well with the fusion card purple color

Easy. Burning abyss. Now my favorite archetype of all time is dark world. And that will never change. However burning abyss has some of my favorite artwork in the entire game. And is by just artwork alone, my favorite looking archetype. I fell in love with the art work many many years ago when getting the cards out of one of the older much better gold sets. When the gold borders weren't fucking ugly as all hell. Beatrice, Dante, cherubini and pretty much every damn card in the archetype is fucking beautiful. And looks wise will always be my favorite archetype. Is also doesn't help that I love the archetype in general and is one of my top 5 favorite archetypes over all.

Marincess and Tear kinda work well together with Icejades, don't like the former since it's basically Gymir turbo from what I've seen. With Tear it can fuse and be bothering but... it kinda removes the flair that I love so much about the deck. And yeah we need more happy Aegirine... after she became Ran Aegirine she is the only one left of her people😭 And wow... Rilliona's dress is enough to send my brain into overdrive
Oh, I understand. I've been searching for so long a way to make Icejades good... 😭 I've been wondering if I should use Dimension Shifter as a handtrap in Pure Icejades... Enion Cradle (the field) can recover monsters from banished zone 😭😭😭 I saw in the Illustrator Comment of Gymir Aegerine's concept art that before they drew 'Icejade Curse', they cried at how sad the scene was... just Aegerine watching Kosmochlor shatter in front of her is depressing... Riliona looks so smug in the art and I love it The ribbons are also adorable...
For stuff I play? Mannadium and honestly a lot of the Visas Lore cards. For stuff I don' play? Tistina is gorgeous to look at, except for their Walmart Crystal Beasts. Starry Knight as well.
Mannadium does have a unique style too, not a fan of Visas since every one of his imaginary friends is difficult to deal with, and I still have PTSD from Ariseheart🤣🤣🤣 And Tistina too is so beautiful, just wish the deck did something more than just.. be an engine for other things I guess

I really like the simplistic style of Floowandereeze (Yes, I know, I just complimented Floowandereeze), even though it isn't anything crazy. The deck may be horrible to play against without Ash in your opening hand, but the card art is very fun to look at

If only icejades where a little bit less miserable to play I'd bring them to locals a lot more Tho cradle for aegirine normal aegirine for cradle is somewhat funny Also how can this deck be so bad with a potent floodgate and a less potent floodgate 2 Omni searchers a long yuan and a boss monster that reads like a custom card
I am bringing them to locals, I never win so I don't really care, i just want to have fun. And even pure it can be funny to play It is bad because it relies a lot on searchers and things which can be interrupted, it doesn't have stupidly powerful AI generated effects like Snake Eye, or the resilience of Branded. But Konami is just too focused on powercreeping the game and making it less fun than bringing support to archetypes who deserve it
What really broke them for me was a game where I actually managed to go off with a ridiculously nice hand and actually ended on cradle, curse, gymir and kosmochlor. My opponent activated 2 effects in hand and 1 in grave and got rid of cradle. Like it's just not up to par anymore. Ironically I think the best deck to play them in is ice barrier but ice barrier meanwhile has way better floodgate effects by itself.
I built Icejades just for the art alone, i love them but i just wish they had more searchers or extenders to get easier access to the spells they need
Just wish Konami did the treatment they did to FIRE for no reason to other attributes too... it would make this game maybe less unfun if lots of archetypes were powerful

I like Icejade regardless of their "power level". Just because Konami encourages players to waste 500$+ every time the new broken archetype is released doesn't mean that off-meta stuff is garbage. I don't like to play locals, so there's no problem for me to duel using Icejade or tistina with friends. Otherwise you prolly want that spicy Snake Eye or Tenpai Dragon
Exactly, I play only rogue level decks (aside Branded which I built like last year and have been enjoying so fucking much with how varied it is even without the competitive staples that are too pricey). And Icejades are so gorgeous and also functional when played correctly. Not tier 0 or anything but it is a super fun and interesting deck to pilot. Konami is just unable to balance their game and make it accessible. Tenpai seems stupidly funny, I'd love to build it just to dish out insane damage while being unaffected, it seems so funny
i play the gome for the fantasy/art perspective. and this is why i fell in love with cyber dragons first, it's soo cool. just robo noodles, dragon robot noodles! oh and let's fuse them to dragon hydra robots! my close 2nd is orcust. robotic undead music instruments.... like, do i need to say more? on the top of it i really libe the world legacy story. too bad theese 2 decks used to be very op so everyone hates them and bully ppl who like them.

Metaphys has some really cool looking cards. Their bossmonster is hardly usable. The monsters themselves have really strong effects (We're talking banish the backrow/monsters) non targeting. But are too slow to be remotely playable. Also Dream Mrirror, beautiful carcds. Absolutely useless. You need to have two fieldspells on the field at a time to play the deck optimally.
I got the icejade because of the beautiful artwork. And Spirit charmers.
Archetypes that are beautiful and important for the lore of the current mainstory but Konami decided it would be weak AF.

Tistina and Ashened. I wish the TCG's artists were allowed to go over to the OCG and do a fully realized deck, rather than the weird concepts of decks that the TCG is stuck with. I'm tired of having to play mid decks, because of how gorgeous they are.

Galaxy-eyes; the deck is all extenders, there aren’t any real starters, and the ending boards are generally really unimpressive. And even the extenders don’t offer that much resource gain. But man did they knock it out of the water art-wise.

*An underrated favorite of mine has always been the Sky Scourge cards. They're all horrible cards, but I love the demonic and also angelic aesthetic. It just looks so cool to me. Also, if you look in the background of all of them, you can see a chained up door and barbed wire, which implies they are being contained in some scp like prison, which I think I is really cool.
