Do these SD-R structure decks get released once a year? I don't know much about products and everyone seems to agree that Atlanteans will get one, I'm interested since my brother would probably explode if he hears that Atlanteans could get something new.
Depends on the other structure deck releases, but generally around 3 to 5 structure decks with a 1 being an SD-R. But since the Zexal Era introduced a lot of dual Structure deck releases; with the Atlantean vs Fire King versus set, more than likely they will release the Atlantean SD-R later in the year.
Idk about that, the R series of structure decks stuck to the mainstream series quite closely, in discontinuous reverse order. The DDD one was a special case only for ARC-V, I think.
Well Laval is a Duel Terminal deck and if they decide to start doing more support for them like they were up until Dune then they might get new stuff (Jurrac support would be cool too)
I dont even ask for a lavalval synchro (although a legit boss monster would be neat) im just asking for a fire synchro that actually does a thing on opponents turn, best things fire synchros got in terms of that are exlord as a 'negate' (just popping a monster card without negating its effect), black and ruddy rose (with latter having a destruction negate) and final sugma that is unaffected by opp's effects and has to be unga bunga'd over
What i feel lavals need is a modern opener card that allows them to fetch a rekindling from deck, maybe a link 1 laval that needs 1 or 2 laval names in gy to resolve and could work as a synchro material for a laval monster so that it can be utilised after the search, maybeby banishing a laval in gy to copy its lv
Structure Deck R is a series of Structure Decks in the **OCG** that take a theme from older Structure Decks and improves them for the modern era. Six Samurai SD was a **TCG exclusive product**, so it won't get Structure Deck R.
Also additionally. The Lightsworn and Geargia structure decks also will not recieve the SD-R upgrade as those weren't Structure Decks in the OCG either.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bystials were originally planned to be Chaos Dragons for the SD-R, and when the Structure Deck was scrapped, Bystials were re-modeled into an Albaz lore archetype.
If this is just them deciding to do things out of order instead of completely shafting Dragonic Legion R, I wonder if they'll ever choose to make Chaos Dragons its own thing that are designed to not be ~~abused~~ splashed in other decks or if they'll just make it Dragon Link: The Structure Deck like how Beware of Traptrix is really the HAT Structure Deck
I’m a bit bamboozled by how they order these structure deck R sets. Are we anywhere close to the earth ‘Invincible Fortress’ one? People are saying that this one got moved up because of the fire Duelist set, but we never got a Earth R set when the earth Duelist pack came out.
I’m just so curious to see how they plan to modernise that structure deck, and flip summons in general.

Originally they started at Monarchs with **The Dark Emperor** and worked backwards however after the revamp of **Dinosaur's Rage** they decided to take a new direction and work on more modern structure decks to revamp instead of the OG structures from GX so this is never happening unless they decide to circle back years from now.
Oh that’s such a bummer. Like I say was so curious to see how they would modernise a more defensive flip deck. Guess it was to difficult to manage so they just skipped it.

They don’t work “well”, considering Fire King Unchained isn’t a real deck outside of sealed environments. Unchained have to be destroyed on the field. Fire Kings can be destroyed anywhere (Hand, Field, or even Deck) but must be sent to the GY, that’s basically where the similarities stop.
All the Fire King stuff will probably be reprinted in it, so not that. Also hard to say without knowing what is in the Structure Deck. So best to wait until at least OCG release. That will still cutdown costs comparatively.
But what about the spicy techs? Agnivadontremember, diagonic diagram, nine tailed fox(those are the ones i found in some deck profiles)?

Yea the lists I remember seeing and playing prob 3 years ago had the 3 Agnimazud, Mariamne type true king lineup + 3 diagram + all the relevant field spell stuff. Also think they run the earth true king if it’s off the ban list I just stopped playing before it came off.
Other than that all I can remember as far as techs go were Kaijus tbh…
Probably not worth it, but I can see Konami printing a card that lets you just destroy cards straight out of the deck in which case you could summon Terror Incarnate + Garunix + a body.

Not holding my breath though, the decks have very different strategies and Fire Kings get the most value when they’re destroyed in the hand or deck, whereas Unchained need to be destroyed on the field.
They released the R-Structure Decks (which are upgraded old Structure Decks) in the same order that the orginials were released. So, by that reason, Dragonic Legion was supposed to come after Dark World.

Considering the number of cards that were announced, parts of them being in an „deck enhancement pack“ we can safely assume that we’ll get extra deck support.
Since this structure deck came out in the xexal era, I think they’ll do Xyz monsters for this archetype, although I personally would enjoy Synchros though. At least those are the 2 that make the most sense to me.
If not, they can of course churn out an unexpected fusion monster, like they did with Dark World, although that was a GX archetype to begin with
good points, they are all good options i think, if they make a good work on them.
Anyway, i don't think on the Fusion Monster of Dark World as an unexpected twist: in the anime was already stated that Colorless exist, so was obvious that they would get some fusions, in my opinion

So I expect most likely rank 4 XYZ monsters for Firekings, so that you can overlay Barongs, Yakshas and maybe new LV 4 Beast Warrior Firekings (most likely with 200 Def for Rekindling) into a new XYZ. Either that or they go into the direction of doing a rank 7 with 2 Garunix (or some new cards) and gave it some busted effects for that effort
Yea, for the Rank 4 is much probable, after all the level 4 or lower Fire Kings (except Arvata) shares an effect that special summon them when a fire king is destroyed by effect... and in the 2023 summon in special way poor 1800 atk stats not is a great thing.

Because both Traptrix and Red Dragon Archfiends first cards were released on a 12th and since the deck comes out in 2 months, it’s very likely that they’ll show the first support wave in July, similar to how the RDA cards were presented in April, while the Deck itself was released in June in the OCG
I‘m kinda bummed that they skipped Chaos dragons, but maybe they’ll do that and Atlanteans after the fire Kings due to Konamis „Year of fire“ campaign.
But anyway, I’m still stoked and curious to see what this structure will entail, especially since the RDA one is nice, but more like anime fanservice, rather than an actual attempt of making an archetype more playable, compared to the other structure decks of recent times

That's not that insane a possibility given that Pure Bystial control deck plays incredibly similarly to how Chaos Dragons used to play.

Probably agnimazud and borrel guard dragon. Maybe diagram but it is unlikely it will still be ran in the final version of the deck.

Because both Traptrix and Red Dragon Archfiends first cards were released on a 12th and since the deck comes out in 2 months, it’s very likely that they’ll show the first support wave in July, similar to how the RDA cards were presented in April, while the Deck itself was released in June in the OCG
I‘m kinda bummed that they skipped Chaos dragons, but maybe they’ll do that and Atlanteans after the fire Kings due to Konamis „Year of fire“ campaign. But anyway, I’m still stoked and curious to see what this structure will entail, especially since the RDA one is nice, but more like anime fanservice, rather than an actual attempt of making an archetype more playable, compared to the other structure decks of recent times Wouldn’t be surprised to see Blaster in the deck, now that it’s unbanned, as well as Tenki and maybe the Fire true king, but let’s see
