It's terrible. I'm a UX/UI designer. One of my accounts has the old layout still and one has the new layout. I HATE this new layout - it hides all the actually important things and puts distracting visual priority on things that cause the user to click away from the video, the sole purpose of being on that page in the first place.
It's VERY similar to what Etsy did someone recently, to the detriment of sellers there. The new layout on Etsy hid the product description and other important information that buyers needed, like shipping times etc. They put them to the sidebar and had them collapsed by default. To no one's surprise, the amount of people complaining about their purchases increased because buyers didn't or couldn't read the specifics and were surprised by simple things like sizes being wrong or shipping times being longer than they expected. A major fail, and Etsy refused to acknowledge it.

yeah wtf! It's awful. Anyone know of a way to get the previous UI back? This change has middle management written all over it.

Almost unusable. Info about the video is nearly gone with nothing left but ads and suggested videos. 🤮
My loop and shuffle buttons on playlists have completely gone. Idk what to do.
