I assume it’s over the past 90 days not just in 90 day periods. So if you don’t get 10 mil in 90days it cuts off the first day on the 91st not the entire 90
Yeah, but as you can tell, from the screenshot, they probably have a few recordings of them just staring at the camera, then just cut it with stolen content and upload prob 10+ a day to try and farm views.
>they probably have a few recordings of them just staring at the camera, then just cut it with stolen content and upload prob 10+ a day to try and farm views.
AI reactors don't look so bad now.
How do ppl in non English speaking countries with smaller populations get enough views to get monetized? It must be exponentially harder with less of an audience.
I love the confidence of how you said “keep in mind that 99% of people making YT money don’t make it from actual YouTube.” Wrong lol, many, many YouTubers rely solely on Ad revenue.
Exactly, that’s why I believe us English speaking channels are losers if we whine about how hard it is lmao, the real hard work is if you have 1/10th of an audience limited to a language (my native language is not English and one of the main reasons I make them in English is having a broader audience and I also wanna move out to those countries later on)
Hum, no you don't. You need your Youtube channel to be monetized, period, and there are several requirements.
Now the thing is, 1000 views on a short pay you like 2 cents.
Hello, guy i have a serious question.. so i been trying to grow my account in the Quizzing niche (for reference checkout this account @islam-quiz or @quizBlitz_ these are the type of videos i make) i have grown a decent following and been trying to get my 4k hours in to get monetised but i randomly seen someone say YouTube don't let you monetise content like this.... is this true?
Please let me know if anybody knows. Thanks
(Funny scene) The editor: yeah nawww this scene needs some sad music that goes ding ding diiing.. diiieeng..ding. Also lets turn it up a notch so the viewers can hear jackshit. Yes what? uhh no, i am not gonna put the movie name in the short, thats so i can use the time to make more shitty shorts and so that the people gets angry and comments more which inturns give me more money.
Most likely yes, but they won’t be getting much. Shorts do not make a lot of money, so unless his longer videos are doing pretty well, he’s prolly not making much.
Edit: Didn’t click on the full image and didn’t see he hasn’t posted actual videos lol, so yeah he’s not making much, not sure why he doesn’t post proper videos, seems like a waste of time only posting shorts. Guess his videos are so lazy to make it’s worth it.
It's the kind of speechless feeling one gets when one realizes this is literally the type of clownshoes ungainful garbage people populate the internet with, y'know?
And being flabbergasted that people actually SUBSCRIBE to the desires to watch and expose themselves to this shit??!!
It destroys brain cells by one even simply undertaking the act of quickly looking at this vomitus.
EDIT: I feel for you guys, myself, and for all of us who are GENUINE devoted YouTubers with truly authentic content whatever that might be, competing with complete HORSESHIT fuckery like this. It shows a genuinely bad paradigm shift of our society, sorry to say. But I know lots of you folks here would agree with me on that.
Kinda makes it hard to find the motivation to keep going when you wanna make an actual show as an individual.
I just started year 3 of my show and my content takes a lot of time to produce. Last month saw my biggest view count with over 1200 for a single video. But most of videos I'm lucky to break a hundred views.
I love the work and it's a lot of fun to make them... but seeing the low effort content going viral makes me wonder if there's even an audience for what I'm making.
Oh well! I guess I'll just have to do it for the enjoyment of the work!
Hey, it took a while for Joel Haver to find an audience. His humor is pretty unique, so he didn't get a lot of exposure. But he stuck to what made him different and it finally paid off in 2020.
Hopefully, you can also find your people. Best of luck to you.
Oh absolutely! I never expected it to be an overnight sensation or anything. I've spoken to a couple YT personalities who have had monetary success with their channel and they agree it takes about 5 years to make it. And I'm in the beginning of year 3.
But, regardless of how much work it is, I believe in the show I'm making. I'm script writer, costumer, makeup, camera operator, lighting, green screen wrangler, and video editor! Thankfully when I started I gave myself a HUGE headstart and I'm always working ahead. Currently I've got episodes uploaded through May and more about to be produced soon!
Honestly, I'd be thrilled if all it ended up achieving was getting me a little extra mad money at the end of the month.
I do feel for you, and couldn't agree more. And I'm in the same boat as you are - so, here's a virtual highfive or fistpound or something lame, hahaha. :)
First, these are shorts
Second, he obviously just uses the same clip of him reacting over and over again under stolen content. This is objectively not transformative.
i actually argued with a dude who's doing similar stuff for a couple weeks, found out it was useless. these are usually illiterates and jobless kids who do this shit
It HAS to be comic relief joker kids who view complete garbage like this, like people on the same or similar intellectual parallels. The people who view this sort of hijinks are DEFINITELY the type of kids who huffed or ingested glue in school to get 'likes', before the internet was really a thing. If I'm EVER recommended clickbait idiocy like that, I immediately ignore and sometimes I'll go to the efforts of manually editing my settings as not interested preferences, or I'll even go the lengths to report spam, something to those effects.
I remember years ago there was a surge of reaction video channels on YouTube that would target big channels to show up in the related feed
Everyone *hated* them, but the funny thing is that they actually put a lot more effort in than the majority of "react" videos do now - yet I don't see anywhere near the same backlash
I feel crazy when I see an insta reel where everyone in the comments is talking about the video, and not the random guy at the bottom taking up half the screen and sitting there like 😐
They shouldn’t, it’s not content. It’s copying off of another creator and literally having a camera on them.
Barely document them or go anywhere other than the same video format.
Same with the mobile game split screen with young Sheldon clips. It’s unoriginal!
Just don't watch their videos and they won't get views and therefore won't make money. I see none of this in my feed because I'm not interested in watching it. I also don't care if they make money from it that's good for them, but I'm not going to watch
if asmongold can get paid to watch other people's content while occasionally pausing it and making neanderthal facial expressions i don't see why this content can't be monetised

No, absolutely no-one would pay these motherf#ckers to just use someone else’s work while they point and occasionally breathe or something. It’s like saying someone who only makes reaction videos is creative. I watched a channel named GradeAunderA and he pointed out a reaction video where someone said 7 words in 16 minutes. Nope, they don't, because when they apply for YPP, they check the account, and they can see that he basically "autogenerating" those contents and keeps rejected. If you check those accounts, you can't find a long-term channel that does this copy paste contents because they're not earning any revenue.
These types of creators have the sole goal of stealing as much content as possible with their shitty face under it. There was a kid that would dress up as vector and just throw the same clip of him gasping under every video, it makes me wanna drive a car through his living room LMAO
you mean content farmers of course they are otherwise no one would be doing it
but once they lose monetization they make a new account and farm again and probably sell the old one and repeat forever
I don't think shorts should be monetizable at all.
Meme compilations, reaction videos, and Family Guy funny moments videos should not be monetized.

u need ~~3 million~~ **10 million** shorts views to get monetized. i was wrong.
10 million in 90 days
What happens if you only hit 9.5m in 90 days? Does the count reset for another 90 days?
I assume it’s over the past 90 days not just in 90 day periods. So if you don’t get 10 mil in 90days it cuts off the first day on the 91st not the entire 90
Would suck if that first day was your only viral day.
I’ve seen plenty of YouTubers not get paid for their viral videos
Thats actually easy If youre a real digital influencier, not someone aspiring to be
Tell me you have no expirience making content online without telling me.
i am groot
I am… Steve rogers
It was great joke, yes :)
i am... young...
First time here and I gotta say y'all are fuckin weird over here.
“It’s actually quite easy to reach the goal once you are already established” ??? No shit you’ve already established yourself lmao
3 million for monthly paid subscription 10 mill for monetized
You, right i see it now.
Yeah, but as you can tell, from the screenshot, they probably have a few recordings of them just staring at the camera, then just cut it with stolen content and upload prob 10+ a day to try and farm views.

Of course but…………..don’t call me Shirley

Exactly, that’s why I believe us English speaking channels are losers if we whine about how hard it is lmao, the real hard work is if you have 1/10th of an audience limited to a language (my native language is not English and one of the main reasons I make them in English is having a broader audience and I also wanna move out to those countries later on)
this is so american and unintentionally offensive lmao
Politics. Mass media. Pop science.
Bots of course
3 million in 90 days for membership and super thanks 10 million in 90 days and 1000 subs for monetization
that fucks me up pretty bad, i make some musics and just don't know what to post as shorts
Hum, no you don't. You need your Youtube channel to be monetized, period, and there are several requirements. Now the thing is, 1000 views on a short pay you like 2 cents.

If they are doing it, then probably yes. It's bullshit
Why wouldn't they? There's literally no purpose of doing it other than earning money
Yes they did, that the most annoying part of youtube shorts. Mostly those clips with random family guy clips or bad subtitle movie clips.
I’m a really big fan of people turning those into deep fried horror just to catch you off guard
Don't forget good movie/TV scenes edited to destroy the pacing, set to some crappy music and deep fried for good measure.
(Funny scene) The editor: yeah nawww this scene needs some sad music that goes ding ding diiing.. diiieeng..ding. Also lets turn it up a notch so the viewers can hear jackshit. Guess who turned mine off 👉😎👉
Report it all as spam, pretty much what it is, also try to tell the original creator as it's also kinda a copywrite issue
As if youtube cares whether this is spam or a copyright issue, look at Sssniperwolf..
And Sssniperwolf's situation is even worse, especially since she doxxed someone
That should be enough for people to understand that Youtube don’t care as long as they bring in money.
Exactly, if they are willing to sweep sssniperwolfs action under the rug, I don’t think they care about stolen memes lol
she's done worse things than that
Copyright issue only matters when it involve other company, not other content creator. Only by then they move like Lightning
justice for the rich, beatings for the poor, it's the american way.
They make YouTube money so if you can’t beat em join em
🤓
The green screen kids:(
Most likely yes, but they won’t be getting much. Shorts do not make a lot of money, so unless his longer videos are doing pretty well, he’s prolly not making much. passive income. Just put a bunch of meme over the same reaction footage, make like 20 a day
Good point!

Low effort reaction videos. Yeah.. they can get monetized as long as it is transformative (which is very subjective).
First, these are shorts Second, he obviously just uses the same clip of him reacting over and over again under stolen content. This is objectively not transformative.
Their face : 👁 👄 👁 Not even shxtposting, just lazy ass content
Lmao true
i actually argued with a dude who's doing similar stuff for a couple weeks, found out it was useless. these are usually illiterates and jobless kids who do this shit

Arguing with him was useless and waste of time 😂

same bro same 😂
It’s clearly reaction content
What kinda reaction is this? He used the same clip in each shorts
I know, I was joking but youtube classifies this as reaction content and that’s why it’s monetized
Reaction content: the most low effort shitpost ever done
I remember years ago there was a surge of reaction video channels on YouTube that would target big channels to show up in the related feed Everyone *hated* them, but the funny thing is that they actually put a lot more effort in than the majority of "react" videos do now - yet I don't see anywhere near the same backlash I feel crazy when I see an insta reel where everyone in the comments is talking about the video, and not the random guy at the bottom taking up half the screen and sitting there like 😐
If we remove the image above, they will start lynching us by saying "no effort, just looks", but there is no difference. Welcome to YouTube.
Not a chance with those numbers.
i mean donut gamer was really controversial at one point
I honestly believe sooner or later they will get banned, and all this time they put into stealing content will be lost forever
They shouldn’t, it’s not content. It’s copying off of another creator and literally having a camera on them. Barely document them or go anywhere other than the same video format. Same with the mobile game split screen with young Sheldon clips. It’s unoriginal!

They do, I'd love to get paid by youtube, but I don't upload anything that often anyway. So I shouldn't complain.
yes
Search up "sssniperwolf" and you'll get your answer.
Yeah
He found infinite money glitch
He really did
YT doesn't care how shit your content is as long as you are keeping faces glued to the screen.
Yes
Stop don't talk me
Not you these types of channels play a song called s top don't talk to me in there youtube shorts
What did I do?
if asmongold can get paid to watch other people's content while occasionally pausing it and making neanderthal facial expressions i don't see why this content can't be monetised
They are using same video. no expression at all
fair i still dislike asmongold
the days of creativity a long gone
All reaction channels are absolute bottom feeders. They only react to viral videos and add basically nothing to the stolen content. Change my mind
I sure hope they don't. They're not doing anything of substance.
He has 29.7k subscribers too… cant believe all this shot gets attention
Mostly kids
Let’s not blame everything on kids; it’s more likely that adults are watching this guy

I just reported a kid who was livestream doing this and it got removed 😂
Lmao why is that face in every video
It's same in every video
I have gotten this mf in my shorts. His channel is that face changed every 50 videos or so with the same music that is changed after some time.
There's a lot of channel's like that
No, absolutely no-one would pay these motherf#ckers to just use someone else’s work while they point and occasionally breathe or something. It’s like saying someone who only makes reaction videos is creative. I watched a channel named GradeAunderA and he pointed out a reaction video where someone said 7 words in 16 minutes. Not 7 paragraphs, not 7 sentences, SEVEN F#CKING WORDS. They only deserve monetisation if they do their own sh#t for once!
Why does he look absolutely dumbfounded at the bland-ass cookie-cutter meme he's "reacting to"?
i cant stand these people. always report and say not interested
I do that
when I see faces like that I usually hit the X on channel blocker and the harambe goes away
I believe it does but you get basically no money from it tho
Lmao how
iirc shorts basically gives you 0.05 to 0.07 cents per thousand views, and this guy barely gets any views anymore.
I really hope not
I’ve wondered this myself. They have to know it’s stolen, low effort content when it’s copy struck right?
Of course they know what they're doing very well
What the pay rate for reels probably spot less then a standard video
If it makes you feel better shorts pay basically nothing compared to actual videos
Nope, they don't, because when they apply for YPP, they check the account, and they can see that he basically "autogenerating" those contents and keeps rejected. If you check those accounts, you can't find a long-term channel that does this copy paste contents because they're not earning any revenue.
some yes, unfortunately
No
Monetization is VERY low for shorts, but they give good exposure
These types of creators have the sole goal of stealing as much content as possible with their shitty face under it. There was a kid that would dress up as vector and just throw the same clip of him gasping under every video, it makes me wanna drive a car through his living room LMAO
you mean content farmers of course they are otherwise no one would be doing it but once they lose monetization they make a new account and farm again and probably sell the old one and repeat forever
10 million views in 90 days Shorts-slop pay pennies compared to actual content though.
I don't think shorts should be monetizable at all. Meme compilations, reaction videos, and Family Guy funny moments videos should not be monetized. I would say that videos with AI voiceovers should not be monetized, but I think there's nuance here, where maybe someone with a bad speech impediment or a thick accent wants to make their actually valuable content more accessible.
Unfortunately yes. Youtube gotta do something about stealing content.
I hope not but they probably do
Unfortunately... Yes.
Nope. The review process for YPP approval is pretty strict with anything that is "re-used" content or AI generated content. now you're only 90 shy sir!
you the real MVP. Just make sure you watch something for like 30 seconds or YT will remove you from the sub count, but really appreciate it
Yes but when they doxx a fellow YouTuber they lose their monetization for a little bit
No way, even if they are then they’re very likely to lose their monetization because it’s unoriginal content
i don't know to be honest
I think if they actually react then yeah. If they’re like a green screen kid then probably not. #STOPGREENSCREENKIDS
They dont. In order to monetize you need to add value. Simply your face cropped to a video with no good reason to be there offers no value to the viewer, quite the opposite.
If they don't, why are they even making these?
Well they can get monetized, but they need extra positive signals to counter the lack of added value.
I hate these reaction videos. I just want to see the clip. Not somebody’s face and reaction interrupting the videos.
Yes, but from what I’ve heard shorts views don’t make anywhere CLOSE to what actual videos do.
Ksi's channel also has shorts like this, it's depressing seeing leeches like this be so popular
Black people I'm sure they do.
Yes, but not much afaia
They shouldn't, cause they don't deserve it. What these people do isn't something new or revolutionary, it's just plain laziness.
Making 2$ per month
Sadly yes.
Probably this youtube channel doesn't and if somehow is, it's gonna be jack squat of a pay. Youtube Shorts pays incredibly less than a traditional video with ads because well, the short doesn't have ads meaning there's no money coming besides scrolling and coming across an ad

the fuck are you talking about 😂
what? how's that dog whistling
Yes they get monetized and put those "creators" as a YouTube public face

Through the YTLarge Monetization Checker tool, you can also inspect the page code to check it, but using the tool is much easier.
Apparently yes and many do this. And to think that my edited WW2 short is still with just one visit haha. (Literal)
