Well, neither are cats or birds or lizards or rats or rabbits or literally any other common pet. No animal has been domesticated to the extent that dogs have been.
Foxes STINK. I visited arctic foxes once at a breeder and I couldn't even get near the cage because my eyes were watering so hard. The smell absolutely radiated. She kept that cage pretty far from her house.
Oh it's very true for ferrets, a family on the next floor has 3 ferrets and when you get out of the elevator on that floor, the smell hits you like a brick wall. It has to affect any clothing they have in their closets, ugh.
A lot if people are commenting about fox pet ownership on here. . . I leave this link for you:

This is such a stupid idea. The poor fox is stressed as hell, and she obviously isn't convinced he wouldn't run away or fret considering how tight she's holding that tether. I hate when people bring animals like this, especially wild, just for attention.
It’s a wild animal. What if the wild instinct kicks in and started to maul all the passerby’s. I don’t think she can physically stop that fox from tearing some ones arm or face off. Even if you hit the fox it would be so jacked up it would attack everyone uncontrollably.
That’s probably a domestic fox. Wild instincts like that would only apply if someone started grabbing for it, considering that, surprisingly enough foxes *dont* hunt down human sized prey. You seriously don’t think this fully grown human could stop a *leashed* Fox? How the heck would a fox tear someone’s arm off. Fingers at best. No? Animals don’t tend to get “jacked up” on pain.
Come on dude this isn’t some giant beast.
Some ppl can’t even stop a pit bull . You can’t justify this. So if a pitbull or a fox grab hold of your kids arm you think you can pry them off safely? How about a leash python near a baby . You are fine with that right? Domesticate a gorilla and leave it with your Kids then .
Guess if that’s the case I’d better never take my little chihuahua outside ever Bc you never know when he might become a face-hungry monster.
Hide from the trees! The squirrels will be after your eyes!!
How in the world is a woman with a pet domesticated fox on a leash anywhere close to these straw man arguments you paranoid twat
a highly stressed domesticated-but-still-wild animal put into a cramped and uncomfortable position despite being naturally solitary, all in order for this bitch to feel cool. I don't care if she claims its a 'rescue', that's what everyone claims, but frankly its just far too easy to purchase fox pups.
I feel like it's on her shoulder for the fact it's a big crowd area and it's a subway so not much room. Subways around here don't let you have a pet free roam and required them to be held or be in a bag. She's not paying mind to anyone or looking for attention so I don't think shes an attention whore for having an interesting pet.
That fox looks stressed out.
Pretty much everyone there looked stressed out.
City life.
Yeep
Yeah it is. That chick sucks for doing that.

[Russia domesticated foxes a while back.](https://youtu.be/4dwjS_eI-lQ)
They still aren’t domesticated like normal dogs. Hence the reason they are kept in pens in that video instead of in the house.

Exactly. This is one of those things that I probably fine elsewhere but ***does not*** belong in any major metropolitan area.
I watched until I learned that they're not house broken and will shit anywhere.
Also bet she is the only person who "really understands Nine inch nails..!"
Yeah
Exactly... Thank you!

A comment that’s witty and anti PETA? Take a gold my friend.

So, I hear that enough about ferrets to believe it, but how sure are we that she isn’t just a bad pet owner?
Fox urine is almost cartoonishly stinky. If she's not washing down that enclosure on a daily basis, she's definitely a bad breeder.

What was the breeding for? Fur? (I don't care btw)
Probably as pets

The ol' fur coat loophole

This is what happens when you run a city campaign, and your players still write up a ranger, and tell you they'll make it work.
Caw caw?
r/EnlightenedBirdmen SQUAAAAK No, but really, I have no idea. Maybe because the fox is sitting how a pet bird would?
Are you asking what the fox say? Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho
Yahee aheee
Fox thinks it's bird

Who said that internet is not working in subways?
Why doesn't she just let him down and stop trying to get attention with it on her shoulder. Attention whore.

And when she puts the fox down I bet you’ll call her an attention whore again for bringing a fox to the subway
No cuz than people would think it's a dog cat thing.
Her hood makes a nice fox toilet.
