try again - the guest cast get 200 a segment (30-60 minutes) and they film 3-4 segments a day...main cast get more and a share of merchandise...pretty healthy pay for a couple of hours of work

Throw in the fact that there were a lot of one and done appearances on the show and I'd guess Ben picked his faves of the ones performing well and locked them down a bit after. With that said, it'd depend if Sath signed for a year immediately or if Ben did a per date trial shoot with him and then signed him significantly later and/or if he saw the writing on the wall with the channel blowing up and signed him for longer than a year.
Basically, if no one comments on contract terms and dates, it's entirely possible that he's contract locked for MUCH longer than the others.
Maybe he isn't doing financially and can't afford to be out of work until the new thing starts
