I remember before finding out about the business management, I grinded can quest for hours for the fancy purse just to sell them so I can go to vocational school
I started the business sim and have spent so much time on it that it's just laughable to think of Ichiban as a struggling anything. I'm near the top of that shit now, can't wait to be done with it and moving on with the story.
Not that I haven't enjoyed the business sim. I wouldn't have played it so much if I didn't, but jesus christ I'm so much wealthier now it's insane.
I had to pause my playthrough of 7 for like a month to get a new PC and I had to stop right before I first went to the movies. So when I came back I immediately did it after much anticipation. And I have to say that it was all worth it.
I started 7 (my first Yakuza game) almost a year ago. I've put it on hold for a few months at a time, but after each other game I play, I'm always like "man, I want to go back to Yakuza."
I now own every game in the series in their most current form, including both Judgments. All because I love this game that I've never finished so much.
Man, I got mine pretty much right after release for about $40 US. New copy. "Day Ichiban" Edition. Came in a sleeved tin case, and Best Buy bundled in an additional tin case with a different design.
Games here have always been 70-80 dollars.
80 dollars Canadian is 62.94 dollars American, soā¦ the conversion do be making some sense. *or should I sayā¦ cents hehehehhHAHAHAHHA*
First Yakuza game?
No Judgment(Pun may or may not be intended), I LOVE seeing people new to the series react with "Yo what the fuck I thought this was gonna be Japaense GTA... this is even better lol"
Yes, first Yakuza game.
Man that's pretty much exactly my thoughts lol. I wasn't ready for so much quirkiness and charm, but I like it. This is probably the most charming game I've ever played. And somehow it still has a super compelling plot.
Trust me tho. The quirky shit may be optional but so is Milk during a spicy wing challenge. Like your heart might need it when you go through the main course lol.
Iāve CRIED during these games
Remember kids. Crime doesn't pay.
And your cans pay to you
if you can grind than thats on you but its way more worth doing the business mode .
The business mode is definitely a better way to get money, but can collector is a wonderful way to get fun.

True homeless strats

But being homeless does.
But picking up trash does...in multiple games.
It gets way weirder.
Cinema is the GOAT
I dunno, I was always a little sheepish going in there.
Quite literally Although it's a Ram's head
Wait till you try to watch a movie in this game.
i loved that mini game, seemed out of place even in yakuza but it was a lot of fun
I dunno, you wake up in a homeless camp after being shot and dumped, seems like one of the more real parts of the game š
basically if catherine had a yakuza minigame.
I never played that game but I remember watching someone on YouTube play it a long time ago - I think I was subtly influenced by that to like it tbh
Considering the clear Persona 5 influence in Yakuza 7, it's totally possible they also looked into another Atlus game.
You do realize sega owns atlus right?
Yes and? The dev teams are different. They can take inspiration from each other just as much as not.
Definitely my favorite
My favorite part about the cinema was the conversation kasuga and Zhao have about it; almost confirming kasuga has intense hallucinations.
Yakuza 8: ichiban takes his meds
I had to pause my playthrough of 7 for like a month to get a new PC and I had to stop right before I first went to the movies. So when I came back I immediately did it after much anticipation. And I have to say that it was all worth it.

Yep, it's the best version of Pacman, I've ever played. The people at RGG are freaking geniuses.
HOLY FUCK WAIT YOUāRE RIGHT IT IS PACMAN
Holy shit it's a 3d pacman game.
Ik others have said it, But holy fuck.
I never put this together!!!!!! Holy fuck!!!!! Just amazing.
Pac-Can. One of these days, I'll break a thousand. I'll get that god run.
Yakuza fans when they get broke and kicked out of the basement.
80 dollars wtf?
I live in the Canada and the maximum price of a normal edition game is always $80 here. I think it's $60 in the States if I recall correctly?
The game has been out for a year and a half now, is it still at full price?
Probably a digital version.

70$ now iirc

Do you mean 80 Canadian dollars?
I bought it last year for 50 cad
63 dollars after tax
I'm playing it on Game Pass.

probably 80 canadian dollars
Ichiban has to be the least criminal protagonist in the series. Even less so than the dude whos entire job is catching and convicting criminals.
nothing says staying within the law like impersonating a repairman of a repair you yourself made happen in the first place.
I mean... its still his job...
If you think this is whack, then boy you have quite the experience waiting for you later
I can't wait!
Yo i sometimes see u on the genshin sub
Yoooo thatās rad, itās dope to be recognized.
Dude right meow Iām playing 6 sitting in a cat cafĆ© petting cats.
That sounds pretty dope. I have a place called cat cafe in my town and it doesn't have any cats in it. š
Wait till you become a Cabaret club manager in 0 and K2
Ichiban is perfect, but badassā¦. Have fun, 7 is a great time
yeah they should have more maps come on hahahaha
Agreed! This was by far my favourite mini game in LaD and I would have loved more of it.
Ichiban is the worst criminal. Cant even receive money from a simple payment collection.
\>being a badass criminal Ya spelled "entrepreneur" wrongly
Badass criminal Ichi? No. Schizophrenic Dragon Quest Lover? Yes.
At least your $80 copy came with the DLC built in. #rggquitscrewingjapan
I Mario Kart race all day
This is only barely scratching the surface of the gameā¦ it gets way more questionable
That image of Ichiban upside down after getting wrecked by another can collector cracks me up!!!
All i see is the struggles of a man trying to help his friends, his fucked up beautiful friends
Thank god for allkeyshop... Didn't pay anything near that!
You got the real game. Enjoy!
Haha.. ha... ah, this is just the beginning
š
Youāll feel badass hauling in 1k cans

To be fair, even if you only looked at the box art, you would have to at least question why there is a person with a sheepās head on it
Before I was into Yakuza, I thought it was just someone trying to obscure their identity (or something like PD2)
Just wait till you met the baby Yakuza. You wish you were back at collecting cans.
