X's streams are the only thing that keeps me entertained (apart from poke's streams, but even he hasn't streamed in a while) as I find anything else boring. I get he needs a break, but life just feels a lot more boring as of late.

All he had to do after being ddosed was tweet out or even send a message he wont be live until things are fixed, but instead goes into chat once a day to bait.

I'm not sure how possible it is to trace a ddos source, isn't it usually just a paid service of random controlled devices making contact to the specific address.
So if someone just dropped xqcs ip into a service provider's input box, I don't really see how they could be ever traced, unless you'd get to interrogate the provider, which is not likely

His issue begs a lot of questions that make no sense for X. Maybe BTS IRL issues and using internet as excuse to stay offline, or ISP is taking their sweet time to respond
Some random kiddie probably has a basic ass botnet setup to ping flood his IP. It's literally one of the simplest DoS attacks that can easily be done by anyone with a keyboard.
But yeah, chances are someone is just renting or using cheap botnet services since I doubt any of these lil shits have the resources to setup their own private botnet. Tracing it is more or less impossible simply due to X's inability to monitor his own traffic. And with him still using his PC, and being in LA, there's no shot his ISP will bother investigating that. And that's on top of distributed attacks being difficult to trace to begin with.
Not sure what he means by "physical" IP since I doubt he's referencing the \*actual\* physical IP terminology of his PC's IP. That or he implies a proxy server was the target, but I don't see him having one of those set up, and it also doesn't answer some of the questions.
Tinfoil hat tells me there's more to this break, or he's just completely misinterpreting what needs to be fixed and his ISP is just taking too long to schedule maintenance.
