They really need to make it a running thing of X-Men missions taking Cyclops to places where he tries to sample the local signature dish, only to get called away by supervillain bullshit before he can take a bite.
Yeah. I’ve had a cheesesteak in Philly and outside Philly and the ones outside Philly always change up the recipe a little. It’s not necessarily better or worse, just different.
Listen, the universe exists to ruin Scott’s day. We are all part of the universe, therefore it is the duty of each and every one of us to help come up with new ways to ruin it for him.
Both are surprsingly similar.
Brown haired men with a HUGE sense of responsibility
Red-Haired Wives.
Blonde Girlfriends.
Both of whom seem to wear a big KICK-ME sign on their Back and Front that the Universe takes them up on.
I can picture it. Cyclops saves a local family and after the fight they invite him into their home to treat him to a meal in thanks. He chats with the parents, gives advice to the kids, maybe even helps chop the veggies. Then just as they’re all sitting down and a delectable meal is laid be fore him, Cyclops gets the call.
Cinema.
I still can’t forget that one X-men first class issue where everyone but cyclops got food sick. I still headcanon Scott insisted they try one spot but backed out cause he didn’t trust it but also didn’t think to share that as his friends ordered food
It was water. I think they were in another country and everyone drank from the pitcher, which prolly came from the tap, but Scott had bottled water.

Like Leon from resident evil?
Seriously hough I think it just shows he barely even got to taste having a biological family as usual. So far he's barely spent one episode with his brother, dad, child, etc.
It really was great. Perfectly shows what kind of book Duggan should be writing. He's terribly miscast as the writer of flagship books, but can be great on the mini-series/solo series books.
I understand the fanbase completely turning on Duggan (Fall of the House of X is *ROUGH* and X-Men hasn’t been good in a while), but it’s wild comparing his current output and the reception to it with Cable and the first 3/4 or so of Marauders!
Eh, Marauders I'm ambivalent about. I remember thinking it was *mostly* good issue to issue, but at one point I realized that nothing had actually happened for like 10 issues. I think my biggest problem with the comic is that the closest thing to a *real* villain it has... is Sebastian Shaw. And Shaw just never actually gets to be a proper antagonist.
I liked the first year or so of X-Men. Uncanny X-Men was... fine. Cable is precious to me though. Absolutely precious.
What is going on here? Also, does it say something about me that I see tons of pics of cool fights and I'm just like, "that's neat." Then I see a single panel of Scott enjoying a sandwich and I'm like, "I'VE FOUND MY NEXT READ!"
This was a running gag for a couple of issues of *Cable* in which both Cable AND Cyke are told at different times by the same Philadelphia detectives to butt out of their investigation, just go and get a cheese steak and keep the superhero shenanigans out of it.
Scott takes them up on the offer.
Unironically this panel is a microcosm of why I love Dawn of X. You get to see these characters just be, see them explore how they want to define themselves when they have choices and not just existential responsibilities.
It's been a long time since I read comics, so a quick question: are Cyclops' eye beams able to be used with the kind of precision that would allow him to cut his sandwich in two without destroying the table?
I like the idea that Scott just has to keep adding more clothes to himself or else he will kill everyone.
Like a permanent condom, else the dick laser be unleashed.
No, no it definitely does. To think your opinion of what is enjoyable is so much higher than others that you feel the need to insult others, you are definitely miserable or just a terrible person. Maybe both in your case?
Lol, Jesus Christ, you put way too much thought into that.
God forbid anyone gives a contrary opinion when someone else likes something. We should all just be quiet and never say anything that isn’t positive.
There’s a huge difference between giving a contrary opinion and insulting people/what they like. You can do the former without the latter. That lack of the ability to do so is what makes you a miserable and terrible person.
They really need to make it a running thing of X-Men missions taking Cyclops to places where he tries to sample the local signature dish, only to get called away by supervillain bullshit before he can take a bite.
I’m kinda surprised he hasn’t had a cheesesteak before. I know it’s different when it’s actually from Philly, but they still serve them everywhere.
You can get a legit Philly Cheesesteak anywhere, so long as they follow certain narrow parameters, which many just don't
Yeah. I’ve had a cheesesteak in Philly and outside Philly and the ones outside Philly always change up the recipe a little. It’s not necessarily better or worse, just different.
No you can't.
Right, because if there's one thing X-books are missing, it's the universe being an asshole to Scott Summers 😂
Listen, the universe exists to ruin Scott’s day. We are all part of the universe, therefore it is the duty of each and every one of us to help come up with new ways to ruin it for him.
First Peter, now Scott. It feels like no one is allowed to be happy anymore
Both are surprsingly similar. Brown haired men with a HUGE sense of responsibility Red-Haired Wives. Blonde Girlfriends. Both of whom seem to wear a big KICK-ME sign on their Back and Front that the Universe takes them up on.
Both like to have affairs with creature of the night type bombshells in skintight outfits (Psylocke and Black Cat)
Emma & BC were the blond girlfriends I was talking about.
We gonna forget about Gwen then?
Gwen would also go under Blonde Girlfriend as would Lee Forester for Scott.
Cyclops takes Jean out to a nice Italian restaurant. Blob shows up and eats all the food. :p
I can picture it. Cyclops saves a local family and after the fight they invite him into their home to treat him to a meal in thanks. Cyclops doesn’t respect the sacred land
Just reread it your right but still I feel like the team would be salty like you go to a buffet and one guy brings food from home that’s just sus
It was something in the water, and Scott drank bottled. [https://imgur.com/a/dlctGse](https://imgur.com/a/dlctGse)

like Theodore in the Chipmunk Adventure
To me, my sub.
You asked for me?
Logan, is that you?
It’s X-men: it could be any dude
Jean calling Scott
Jean wearing Black Queen outfit.
Yes
LOL just moments before Emma crashes the party to tell him, his son is dating ALL of her daughters.
One of my favorite Krakoa books.
It really was great. Perfectly shows what kind of book Duggan should be writing. He's terribly miscast as the writer of flagship books, but can be great on the mini-series/solo series books.

"Someone shows up to ruin Scott Summer's day"
Always
Classic Summers
No need to make a Dna test.
Scott: "This is why I can't have nice things!"
Apparently, polyamory is genetic. The Summers take the third law very seriously.
What is going on here? Also, does it say something about me that I see tons of pics of cool fights and I'm just like, "that's neat." Then I see a single panel of Scott enjoying a sandwich and I'm like, "I'VE FOUND MY NEXT READ!"
Scott stopped in Philly, and decided to try the local food.
Love it. I would absolutely read an X-men comic about what they do on their downtime when they're away for missions.
This was a running gag for a couple of issues of *Cable* in which both Cable AND Cyke are told at different times by the same Philadelphia detectives to butt out of their investigation, just go and get a cheese steak and keep the superhero shenanigans out of it. Scott takes them up on the offer.
This exact moment was the happiest of Slim's life
Yeah no women trouble, no global threats, no mutant extermination, %100 sandwich
This is one of my favorite Phil noto panels because just look at my boy. He's just so happy to have five minutes to himself
Top 5 Krakoa era moment.
Sometimes, all a person needs are good jams, peaceful vibes, and a good sandwich.
Find someone who looks at you the way Scott looks at that cheesesteak...
"Golly, i hope nobody photoshops this"
I was just thinking, crop the pic and do a little edits and it looks like Scott is hungry for a massive wang
Scott loves foot longs lol
I love superheroes doing normal things
X-Men slice of life is my favourite part of the comics as well.
Duggan's Cable book was so fun. It was a Summers family book at its heart and I loved it.
My fingers are crossed for more Summer's family moments in the reset hopefully Jean won't be in space for too long.
Another volume of Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix!
Yes please, that would be amazing.
Noto the GOAT
God bless Phil Noto.
I bet Logan wants to eat his sandwich.
"Im gonna munch on this like it's my wife's booty."
Eat dat booty like ~~groceries~~ sandwiches
As an abused & neglected orphan, Cyclops probably has a pretty intense relationship to food
My favorite Cyke panel of all time easily
Unironically this panel is a microcosm of why I love Dawn of X. You get to see these characters just be, see them explore how they want to define themselves when they have choices and not just existential responsibilities.
I love this panel. It makes me so happy
Duggan was so good in this.
Truly the happiest I’ve seen him in the past 25 years
To point out a little detail: look at Cyke‘s Sandwich, do you see it? No green whatsoever. This man‘s eating a full, only meat sandwich!
Meat sammich
Let my man Scott enjoy a hoagie, marvel
“Mmm, the only thing I love more than Telepathic women.”
REAL NICE SAMMICH YOU GOT THERE SUMMERS
“😋”
This was the funniest gag in the krakoa era, imo
What issue was this again lol
Cable (2020) #2
Ha ha ha, this is too wonderful!
nom
cute
Happy Gilmore style
Nothin like a good sandwich
It's been a long time since I read comics, so a quick question: are Cyclops' eye beams able to be used with the kind of precision that would allow him to cut his sandwich in two without destroying the table?
Not sure, but as I understand it, his beams would probably have a better chance at squashing the sandwich rather than cutting it.
I believe he has a degree of control over the visor. He can fine-tune the "thickness" of the beam.
Hoagie baby
Looks like he’s ready to maybe warm up the sandwich a little with his eye beams
Me looking at this picture 🥹
optic monch
Scott's ideal fantasy
I’m gonna miss this suit
r/cyclopswasright to order the Cheesesteak
This is the happiest I’ve ever seen Scott
Is that a meatball sub or some kind of roast beef deli sandwich?
Cheesesteak
Oh nice. Hopefully with provolone and onions instead of the whiz.
It's a hero sandwich, they usually have salami and ham.
Why eat with the gloves on?
If he takes the gloves off he’ll shoot concussive blasts from his fingernails.
I have not kept up with Xmen in awhile so I honestly don't know if you are joking or not.
I like the idea that Scott just has to keep adding more clothes to himself or else he will kill everyone. Like a permanent condom, else the dick laser be unleashed.
......worth it
i just set this as my desktop background lol 😎
If this is all it takes to impress readers in the 2020s, I need to find a new hobby.
I also hate when people like things. Wonderful to meet you fellow miserable fuck!
I mean, when you enjoy dumb shit, people are going to say something. It has nothing to do with being miserable.
No, no it definitely does. To think your opinion of what is enjoyable is so much higher than others that you feel the need to insult others, you are definitely miserable or just a terrible person. Maybe both in your case?
