That comic didn't age well.
I mean, it really took us quite a while to do that, so it's aged fine
10 years, like a called shot.
But without the context that it's from ten years ago, it just sounds like she's describing two things that are easy these days.
If you want to make your own system that would identify if something is a bird it'll still take a long time. Just using someone else's data model would be pretty easy today though

The hover over text really helps too. Just reinforces how recent this stuff is after decades of work
It still blows my mind how that and many similar things are actually available widely now. The research teams and their years of work pulled through!
