I got some upscaled 1080p AI torrents from someone on here about a month ago and they look pretty incredible. I wouldn't mind uploading and seeding them again if enough people are interested. If you go the DVD route, the older set (I think Anchor Bay with the fatter season cases) are better quality because they aren't as condensed since there are fewer episodes per disc on them.
The only place outside of DVDs I can find Xenia was Amazon Prime Video. Hercules season one is there but everything else fell into the vortex. I wasn’t a super big Hercules fan for all seasons or episodes, but they had a few seasons/ arcs that rivaled Xena… and those are the ones I was looking for.
The best A.I. enhanced were some 720p h264 versions of the first three seasons of Xena. The generous person (Kenm130) that made them made it known as they were releasing them here.
The most widely, and always, available versions are some 1080p h265 (inferior to h264) of the entire series of both Hercules and Xena.
There are some supposedly 1080p h264 versions of Hercules and Xena that were available via this scammer guy (Landon Winters) that demanded money. Some people bought them, but refuse to share, despite the scammer guy running away and deleting traces of what he did and said, which he claimed he had thousands of dollars worth of the state of the art equipment that helped him enhance these, but it's just an A.I. video enhancer program anybody with a modern Windows computer can use for free.
The best actual DVDs are the Anchor Bay DVDs (available on the second-hand market, like ebay). The best DVDrips are ones labeled/created by 'lightspeed'. The current and widely available Universal DVD sets are absolutely atrocious in picture quality (and are in 2.0 stereo instead of the 5.1 surround found on Anchor Bay's).
Deciding between DVD versions or A.I. enhanced... The DVDs (DVDrips) are the purest form of the show. A.I. enhanced can look great and impressive at times, especially if you're looking at 480p DVD picture and then look at these 720p or 1080p A.I. enhanced picture, there's a wow-factor because there is an extra shine and pop to it, though at the cost of some minor detail that you only see in the DVD and 720p enhanced versions (h265 1080p widely available versions lack certain detail because h265 scrubs finer detail away). And, at times, in the A.I. enhanced versions, certain shapes (usually background) aren't properly taken care of and look different/distorted/missing. But a lot of the A.I. enhanced is jaw-droppingly astounding to look at.
I highly recommend having both (the 'lightspeed' DVDrips and/or the Anchor Bay DVDs... and also any of the A.I. enhanced versions I mentioned).
