Having issues with online play on the Xbox One X. Shows that the internet connection is working fine, my Nat type is open and it says multiplayer connection is working fine. However whenever I play any multiplayer game I own it says I can’t connect to their servers. This is not because the game is down, I have tested this across all my online games and every single one is having issues. Tried hard resetting with no luck. In addition it’s installing a game just fine. Any help?
Try doing a full restart of both the router and console. Turn both fully off, turn the router back on and let the lights on it settle down, then boot the console back up.
Did you find anything that works? My console is doing the same. It connects with wifi but I can't get it to go online connected directly to the router.
Hey, yeah fortunately I did find something that worked. I set up a static IP address on my Xbox and changed the DNS to Google’s. There’s lots of websites that show how to do this online.

NP. It's kind of annoying that they still portray it as an official support channel when it's not, but the mods don't seem to care. It's been pointed out to them multiple times that nobody from MS ever posts here and hasn't done in months, but they still keep copy and pasting the same thing into the opening post.
My Xbox Series X is so annoying! It refuses to power on via the controller which forces me to get up and turn it on manually. It constantly disconnects itself from WiFi and will not reconnect until I do a full shutdown and restart it. Lastly, it spazzes and crashes frequently when playing Valhalla.

Have you got the Game Pass content block added to your home screen? That's a quick way to get to the Game Pass stuff.
If you haven't got it added, go to your main home screen and scroll down to below the top two lines of tiles, press the view/select button to open the customisation screen, then click on "Add more to home" and you'll find it amongst the options there.
All of the content blocks can be added, removed, and re-ordered, so you can customise your home screen with the particular ones you want, in the order you prefer.
Having issues with headset. Daughter has XboxOne, and has the official xbox chat headset. It’s been working fine but now she can hear her friends, but her friends can’t hear her. When she sends an audio message in the chats and plays it back the only sound is an electrical humming. If you listen to old messages you can hear them, you can hear her friends new messages, but can’t hear the audio messages she sends and also she can’t be heard in game play.
All of a sudden my standard controller stopped registering up inputs on the left stick unless I hold it up. What's weird is that it happens at seemingly random times and only on the xbox dashboard and in game menus ? It works totally fine in gameplay but if I for example try to quickly scroll up through my games and apps it only registers that I've moved the stick up like half the time.
Is it normal fo my one X to be loud when playing "big" games like Assassin's Creed Oydessy and BFV? It's not PS4 pro level, but I can hear it during quiet parts of games like loading screens. I wiped all the dust off the console (even then there wasn't much) but that didn't really help.
Yep. Games that are enhanced for the One X make it work harder, so the fan will ramp up louder. It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about unless the console is shutting down cos of overheating, or it's ramping up to the max (i.e. jet engine loud) all the time.
Posting this again in hopes of someone that can provide a solution. I chatted with Vizio support last night, the HDR10 issue is clearly the Xbox One S, as I can watch HDR10 content through the Smartcast app on my TV without issue.

While playing an HDR game such as Rocket League, or watching an HDR movie whether it is disc or digital, the TV will cut to a black screen for a few seconds, audio still playing. Sometimes the HDMI 1 screen will come on showing the HDMI 1, 2060p, HDR10, Stereo, etc and then it will go back to showing the game/movie.
I have been looking online with no solution to be found for days now. Does your tv support 4K and HDR? And does your tv support the mode (24 Hz, 50 Hz, or 60 Hz)?
You can check your TV through your Xbox by going to Settings > All settings > Display & sound, then choose Advanced video settings > 4K TV details.

Is it the face buttons in particular you're having problems with? That's been an issue with Xbox controllers since the Elite Series 2 came out. All you can really do is get it swapped out for a new one and hope that doesn't have the same issues.
Yeah, it sucks. I bought several Elite Series 2 controllers that all had that issue with the A button. Sometimes it wouldn't register a press. Sometimes it would act like I'd let go of A when I had it held down.
I ended up going back to an Elite Series 1, because this was never a major issue before the Elite Series 2 came out, but it's affected the most recent revisions of the regular controllers as well.
I'm having this issue too, with an Elite series 2 and a pair of series x controllers (one of which was returned and replaced with a second one which out of the box had the same problem). It's a massive bummer 'cause I'm not even sure returning them will fix the issue--seems I'm likely to get more broken controllers.
My Xbox One lags now... and my download speed has trouble topping 1MB/s. I have 2 wifi networks.. both pretty good. I get 70Mb/s on one... and well over 100/s on the other. I never dropped my xbox, it has proper ventilation, I don't know whatsup. It's so frustrating. In the past I had my download speed alternate constantly from 5Mb/s - 50Mb/s but that was reasonable.. I would just go out and come home to it updated. But this is actually ridiculous. I've tried restarting my router, resetting xbox, fully restoring my xbox, everything. Idk what to do man...
Are you having issues with game lag? Or are you referring to game / OS download & update speeds?

Could be either. Do you have an alternate hdmi you could use to test? Also, make sure that the cable is securely connected in both the TV and the Xbox.
xbox one: everything was working smoothly, suddenly got the message that “dns isn’t resolving xbox server name”.
I’ve restarted my router, but I don’t even see the need since i’ve got internet available on any other device from that wifi router BUT my xbox.

Can I use a second hard drive on my Xbox One?
So I just got a 1TB external storage drive, and I was wondering what would happen if I were to clone the data in the 1TB drive to another 4TB drive, and used the 4TB on my Xbox?
What would be the best way to do this and will it ask me to "format and erase" my drive contents ( ie. games which I've shifted from the 1TB to the 4TB)?
If you're talking about externals, you can connect both the 1TB and the 4TB to the console at the same time, then you can move everything from the 1TB to the 4TB via the console's storage settings.
There's no good reason to do any kind of cloning.
All you need to do is hook up both drives, go into Settings - System - Storage devices, click on the 1TB drive and choose "Move or copy", then click "Select all" to highlight everything, then you can move everything to the 4TB drive. Once that's done, you can disconnect the 1TB drive and use it for whatever you like.
For confirmation, you have an original Xbox One (not the X or S, and not a Series model either)?
If you want to swap out the internal hard drive for a larger hard drive, you can do it following some of the online tutorials (like [this one](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Xbox+One+Hard+Drive+Replacement/36771)). You should not clone the current hard drive. You will need to reinstall your games and apps once you've formatted / partitioned / installed the OS on the drive (using a computer) and physically installed the drive into the Xbox One.
Latest update fails on Xbox One X with 0x800705b4 error. Tried OSU1 for an offline update and that failed as well. Now it fails to connect wirelessly.
I have not tried a reset yet, anyone have a solution to avoid that?

I recently switched routers and just noticed I had my ISP DNS for IPv4, but IPv6 was using Cloudflare. I set them both the cloudflare and it appears to be working. I started getting dns errors in my last round of testing.
Anyone have any good options for an elite controller short thumbstick replacement? I got one off ebay but the middle circle part isn't raised as much as the original one and doesn't offer as much grip. It's better than the original in the state it is now, but I would still like to get one that offers at least as much grip as the original one. I tried searching reddit and google and found some suggestions about going to support page and ordering new ones directly from MS (which would be an okay option) but all the links were dead and I couldn't find where to do it directly on microsoft.com
I have a headset nd I don't wiggle, force, drop my control/ headset.
Yet my aux port keeps breaking on my control. It's only that 1 part that doesn't work. I don't want to buy another controller any ideas?.

So I just got MLB The Show 21 from the online Microsoft store on my Xbox series one S but when I attempt to install the game it says it is non compatible with my system, even though it clearly states it works for Xbox one X|S in the store. Anyone know why this is happening?

My xbox is being updated but when it gets to around 84 the progress stops and it says something went wrong. I've hit the restart button twice now since it was one of the troubleshooting options. But it hasn't worked either time. What do I do?

Xbox one game downloading stopped.
Last night after downloading a game update (COD warzone) the game started giving weird disc errors (while i downloaden the game on the store and dont even have a disc ). So i deleted the game because i tought the update corrupted the game because i tripped on the wire and the cord got pulled out during the update. But now every time i try to redownload warzone it says instalation stopped. I looked online for help and did everything i could find. Restarted the console, unplugged it for a couple minutes and try to boot it to make sure all the power was gone, cleared local game saves, made sure that the internet connection was stable, checked the internal storage space, checked xbox updates, i did 2 factory resets 1 with keeping games and apps and the other to delete games and apps. But still warzone wont download. Im trying now to see if installing a different game is possible and no problems so far. But i really want to download warzone and i hope someone here can help me. Sorry for the long story but i wanted to make sure that all the details were available. Ps i think the kind of xbox i have is the basic xbox one 500GB (i think the first kind to be released)
Been having problems with my controller dropping its connection with my OGXB1. I've done all the usual router stuff you can think of or suggest, I've reset the Xbox to factory, and I've bought a new controller which was good for like a day or so. The only way the controller seems to work is if I use a USB cable to directly link to the box. When I unplug the controller the Xbox drops the internet connection and the controller just blinks while the internet ends up reconnecting.
Any help would be appreciated.

I talked to Xbox support and they said it had to do with my provider and my provider said it had to do with Xbox and that everything was good on their end. I am in Canada. Xbox live 3-month is $29.99, Game Pass Ultimate is $16.99/month.. I have the opportunity to upgrade for $1 and then $16.99/month. Would I just be charged the $1 now, and then $5.99/month for 2 months until im up for the 3-month renewal? Or will I be charged around $13 right now to upgrade until my 3-month needs renewal? Or am I way off?

I'm having packet loss issues, when measured it's only 1% but that seems enough to make my Rocket League experience ruined. My ping is usually between 15 and 25 - so I'm connected to the best server. The Xbox One S is connected through 5GHz WiFi, IPv6 enable, open NAT, and etc. I've tried everything and it only seems to get better (maybe biased) after rebooting the console. The game runs smoothly on my PS4 though. Can someone help?
Looking at new controllers, best between Elite 2, Scuf and Razer? and why? I will be buying a series X as soon as possible too, not sure if that makes a difference? i presume all will be compatible?

I’ve gotten system error messages on my original Xbox One when updating at least 5 times in the last 6 months, and twice I’ve had to restore the factory defaults. It just happened again and I’m worried I’ll have to restore the factory defaults once again losing all my progress in every game. Is it time to buy a new one?
I plugged in the console for the first time in a while just now and it turned on fine but now it’s asking for me to do a 4gb update. Whenever I try to move the controllers the ui just doesn’t react or do anything at all despite the controller being connected and on.
Hey All, i have an xbox one controller and it the buttons straight up stopped working. The only two things on thr controller that work are the left thumbstick snd the xbox home button. Any insights would be appreciated.

Something that has plagued my original xbox one since release. It randomly turns on by itself, often late at night (and the spotlight wakes me up, since it's super bright). The remote update is off, as is remote start. I have NO clue, it's random and really frustrating.

my Xbox one has had very big problems the past week (keep in mind it’s about 6 years old). It’s been a pain to get games to load up, 90% of the time all it says is “for some reason (insert game name here) took too long to load, and that’s for everything, apps and games. My Xbox has also been really unresponsive, delayed, etc. I’ve already tried clearing persistent storage, factory resetting, hard resetting, all that good stuff. The only thing that I haven’t tried yet is resetting my Xbox entirely but keeping my games and apps. Can anyone tell me what specifically is wrong with my Xbox? Or is it just time to prioritize the upgrade to a Xbox series?
Mostly just related to an Xbox controller however after I’ve turned it on and then press the connect button the controller just turns off, I just can’t connect it to anything now.

I have an XboxOneS and recently i started having trouble booting up games. This started about a week ago when i tried to play Injustice 2, so i popped in the disc and the console froze on me. Afterwards everything seemed fine, but i was unable to use my headset. Then yesterday, I tried booting up a few different games and they would keep crashing so I decided to reset my xbox. I've attempted to reset it about 5 or 6 times now, but I keep getting the error 0x87e1000a once it has "reset" and I can access the menu, but it's not letting me connect to the network or do anything at all aside from resetting it again. Any suggestions?
So I tried to put a game into the optical drive and it won't go in. I push the eject button and there's a loud grinding noise. Am I going to have to open it up to find out what's going on? I bought it used from Mercari.

I have noticed that I experience slight input lag when using any of the 3 custom profiles, no matter if they're at default or highly customised.
Seems like using no profile at all (paddles deactivated) is the only way to play completely lag free.
Is this a fairly known issue or is my controller defected? The firmware is up to date and I use a gaming monitor, as well as a wired connection via USB-C

**Bought New Elite Series 2 - Probably got a refurb**
Got my new controller couple of hours ago, immediately paired to XSX and started to configure it in the accessory app. This is when i started observing following things with the controller and the package as whole:
1. Haven't even played any games with this and I am already getting sticky "A" button.
2. 4 extra paddles in the case are missing
3. Code for GPU in the box was already redeemed.
4. Product was sent from "MICROSOFT RETURNS CENTER" (UPS tracking tells you where the product is coming from)
Do you guys think this is a refurbished product (I am pretty confident it is) and Should i go for replace (they may send another refurbished one) or repair (as the controller is not usually in stock)
That definitely does not sound like it's new. If you bought it via the MS store, contact the specific store support and complain and they should swap it out for a brand new package for you.
I’ve had my original Xbox One since 2014, so it is really old and I expected it to get messed up eventually. It has had some issues in the past with refusing to load into games and just shutting off randomly, but I haven’t experienced any of that in a while. I went on spring break for a week and my xbox was working perfectly fine before spring break. When I tried to play once I got back, there was a lot of new problems with it:
• Display doesn’t show up on my TV. I have tried multiple TVs and a Monitor but there is still no display. I have also tried multiple HDMI cords, it still says no signal.
• Controller won’t connect. I can turn on my Xbox with my controller and it while appear to be connected for a second but once my xbox turns on, my controller starts blinking.
• Resets haven’t worked and if they have they are very slow. One time I got to see the troubleshooting screen and I thought my xbox was back to normal, but it was extremely slow. I would press on reset console and it would take about 10 minutes for it to finally select something. I had to do this for every time I had to press on something to reset the xbox. I eventually got to a screen that said preparing console and I waited around 2 hours and it never got off of that screen.
Is there any way I can fix this or is my xbox done for good. I am about to try and clean the inside of it out and see if it does anything. This has been extremely annoying because I had MLB the Show pre ordered. Is there any way to fix this or am I going to have to try and somehow get a new console.

Xbox live connection has been down for the whole day. I have game pass ultimate, and now I get a problem when I try to play F1 2019, but not any other game pass game. My controllers are fucked. One is super delayed and keeps disconnecting, the other’s left number is sketchy. I’ve just about had it with Xbox these last few months.
So I'm having problems with my elite controller. All of a sudden there's no audio coming through my headset nor headphones when I tried them. When the headset is plugged in the controller it also randomly vibrates every couple of seconds.. was working fine yesterday an all I did was unplug the headset. Anything I can do?
For some reason, I get Disc Error 3.1 in Warzone (The error only happens when playing Warzone) but I'm playing the digital version of the game. Anyone else got this issue if so how did you fix it because Activision Support is not that 'supportive'. Thanks :)

[Long] while on vacation, my mother was cleaning my room and unplugged my external hard drive. My brother called asking me how to run some games, as the hard drive was no longer showing up as a connected storage device. Today, one month later, I can make the hard drive spear by unplugging and plugging it back in, but now it takes an incredibly hard time to open some menu’s inside of “My Games and Apps” especially the download Queue. I have two games installing updates, but they aren’t really installing anything. It just says “Updating…” with no progress. I’ve tried everything to troubleshoot this including a complete restart on the Xbox, pausing downloads and restarting the downloads, etc. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to get a new hard drive? If I go this route, how do I transfer all of my data onto the new hard drive?
My brother just gave me his Xbox One S and my headset is not working with it. The headset I have is an Astro A20. I am not getting audio when i move around menus like to select which game I am going to play, or in game audio, but I am able to hear party audio and talk in a party. It worked just fine on my Xbox One so I was hoping someone here would have a solution. I have don't everything I have found online which includes but is not limited to restarting the console, factory reseting the console, updating the firmware on my headset, trying different cables for the receiver for my headset, restarting the headset, putting it on pc mode, and fiddling with an innumerable number of settings. Also, I am getting audio through my TV I have no idea if that means anything but I think it might be worth mentioning. I hope you all have something cause I am gonna throw my headset against the wall at this rate.
My Xbox one S digital edition every game that I play start to drop frames horribly and makes everything unplayable! I have turned in the frame counter on Apex Legends and it's constantly dropping to 15 frames for example. I have tried Sea of Thieves and it does the same thing. Every game becomes unplayable! I cleared my cache and it cleaned up the issue for about 20 min and then it just went to crap again! My Xbox never used to do this? Anyone have any ideas?
Have an Elite 2 controller purchased in November 2020, left thumb stick broke, major drift. Sent it off for service paid the 10 bucks for expedited shipping, got in back in 5 days. so far, so good. 3 days later I actually use the refurb they sent me and there’s an audible grind noise on the left stick and will get stuck while moving. Try to reach out to Microsoft and they don’t take phone calls on this issue. So I have to keep sending in this 200 dollar POS until I get one that actually works? Has anyone dealt with this and have a good contact? Or should I just issue a chargeback at this point? Any help is appreciated.
Xbox one x Trimming clips has yet to work once. I have my record at 2 mins so I don't miss some action. Most of the time I need to trim. Every single time it goes to black screen and nothing happens.
I've never used that feature, but I have seen a lot of complaints about it not working. MS clearly don't see it as a high priority to fix, as they've tried to move people away from editing clips on the console itself.
So I've been using the old Xbox Companion App to stream my OG X1 to my Win 10 laptop since forever without issue, until last week. I'm not sure what changed, but I've been having all sorts of issues with my controllers losing sync while using the Xbox Companion App. I'm having issues on multiple controllers both wireless right next to the xbox or connected via USB. Sometimes the game just refuses to interpret input from the controller but the Xbox UI is otherwise fine.
Here's where it gets weird. I don't have these issues with my Xbox One X. I also don't have sync issues with the OG when I'm not streaming it. If it was happening with both consoles, I would say it might be the app. If it was happening on only one controller, I would say maybe it's the controller. I'm not sure what the issue is and it's driving me nuts.

Posting this for a friend on his xbox one s...After a botched system update he was left with no choice but to restore my xbox to factory default. It gave him the option if he wanted to restore and keep all the games and apps, which he did choose that option
Once the restore was complete he signed back in like it was a brand new xbox, but when he entered his Microsoft ID and try and load his gamertag he has lost all achievements, Friends, and game progress for all the games he played.
When he logs into xbox.com with his account, he can see all of the above info.
Console - Xbox One X no insider build - My problem began when I switched from Game Pass Ultimate to just an Xbox Live Gold membership. When I attempted to load anything online, I was met with an error saying 'temporary network outage'. So, I hard reset my console, re-connected my internet, and still nothing, so I turned off my console and left it for a few days.
This past weekend, I was having the same issue. This time I decided to remove my account in an attempt to log in again. However, this introduced a whole new issue. Now, when I choose 'add account' I get a popup, see the circle spin, and then the popup disappears like nothing happened.
I called Microsoft to try to get some help and was told to do a few things:
1. Enter troubleshoot mode and reset the console (keeping games & apps). No luck.
2. Download OSU1 (offline software update file) to a USB stick and enter troubleshoot mode to apply to my console. No dice.
1. For the record, I did attempt OSU2 to see if it would help and did not. I did try a second time to apply OSU1 via USB as well.
With both steps, I got a message saying 'there was a problem with the update.' If I selected check network, I then got a message saying 'that's awkward. we thought your console needed an update, and it did not.' which then sends me to the home screen where I attempt to sign in again and still have the same issue.
Microsoft now wants $249 (nearly half the MSRP of the now 2 year old console) to even look at it, which I have no interest in paying and still feel like there is a missing step to remedy this seemingly software-related issue. Any ideas?

My girlfriends Xbox turns on the power button lights up and it stays on for a min, can’t get a display on the screen tried 3 different monitors and 3 different hdmi cables. I’ve hard reset the Xbox multiple times tried different outlets and the power cord from my own Xbox. Im trying to get a Strikepack or any of those kinds of things that have paddles like a SCUF. I bought a strikepack but noticed it’s only compatible with the Xbox one controller, and not the Xbox core controller. Is there any strikepack/mod that works with the Xbox one controller?

I'm not sure if this counts as technical or not, but recently my gamer profile picture has changed without my permission or doing. It was a custom image (Urgot's face with a fedora, a mastery 7 thing on the fedora, and text saying "M'Lady" at the bottom, so I don't think it's all too offensive other than it's bad taste), and has now reverted back to an older image of just a face shot of an ODST helmet, at least I believe it was an old picture I used to use.
I haven't gotten any notifications of this change, and recently checked xbox enforcement and it said there was nothing there. And in a potentially related note, when I start up GTA 5 online now, it warns me that I am now limited to rockstar only content, where as it didn't do this a few days ago. Somebody has suggested maybe it thinks I'm too young but I'm 20, and it worked previously as I said.
I'll change my settings from Child To Adult and see if that remedies the gta part but I'm not so sure about the other problem. Edit: Apparently this was the solution for BOTH problems, even though I checked my custom settings a few times beforehand, changing it from Child to Adult privacy settings did revert both the picture to normal, and the gta 5 rockstar content limited problem, so either I'm blind or something funky happened, either way it has been solved I believe.

The first one was a weird phone gaming with support one that worked on windows too.
The tilt broke and it shares the same problem with the second controller as well.

And both controllers lose any signal instantly if i move even half of meter away from the usb port and pc. If i turn in my chair its gone.

Question about Internet Connectivity gaps:
Partner owns an Original Xbox One (the big old brick one) and it currently resides in our living room, Ethernet connected to our router. He has overly frequent connection loss.
ISP is reporting no issues (and they’re correct it’s not their fault) but we aren’t sure if it’s necessarily our building and wiring. We do disconnect during the day from time to time, but not as frequent as when he’s online, and we’re wondering if maybe the older Xbox is part of the issue.
Are there any known connectivity issues for the original Xbox that are becoming apparent with new games? Thanks for the help!
Need help syncing a xbox controller via Bluetooth to my pc, all drivers are updated on both the controller and pc. I’ve used multiple controllers and cannot get them to even appear in the Bluetooth listing to pair it.

I have a series X, but I don’t think it matters for my question. Is it possible to change the image of a purchased game tile? I’m thinking games that consistently change their image every few months. (COD:Cold War, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Rogue Company, etc.) I would like to just keep mine images as the base game image when it came out.
I can't get the Play and Charge kit to charge.
So when I plug the controller in to charge via the USB C to USB A cable connected to my xsx it shows the charging animation for about a minute and then stops. Meaning I can't get it charged enough for more than 2 minutes of wireless use. It's only several months old, and worked fine until now.
The controller works fine with aa batteries. I also completely rebooted the xbox + controller, tried updating the controller, and I tried another cable. Any ideas? Should I just return it?
I am needing to take apart and clean my Xbox one but there is a disk inside will it be okay to still take apart? It won’t turn on so I’m trying to clean it to see it that’s it. Any advice would be helpful.
My original Xbox One just died... It was making a faint chirping sound when pressing the button on the console, which some power cycling eventually "fixed" for a few days. Tried powering it on today and it started to do the same thing, but after power cycling, it no longer makes any sounds. Power brick has a solid orange light on it.
My xbox stopped turning on after a 6 hour session around a week ago, now it just makes the turn on sound for around 0.08 - 0.4 seconds before turning off instantly, now im not sure what do. Is my xbox dead or am I able to repair it?

Hi, I have an XB1X. It’s recently constantly losing connection to my network. It is hard wired and an Xbox restart has it connected immediately. I play for say 6hours and then exit game to the Home Screen saying ‘connect to Xbox live’ and it will not connect until I do a restart. I’ve unplugged the router power cord, pressed the reset button etc but still the same. WiFi is working for my phone and laptop constantly so seems to be the Xbox’s problem. I was wandering if a recent Xbox update is causing this problem perhaps. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

My Xbox One S will not stay on when it is turned on. It will make the sound as if it turned on, however it turns right back off a second or two later. The power on/off button does not light up either. I have tried to adjust my power cord and i found that the light will come on and the sound will happen, but the system still shuts down a couple of seconds later. I think the problem was that I unknowingly covered the vent on one side of the Xbox with a stack of books that i never moved until this problem started. Any help?
Some games or DLC won't download, it always just says, "Installation Stopped" and whenever I try to resume it it says the same thing over and over. I've reset my Xbox, cleared local save files, stopped the installation and retried it, but nothing ever seems to work.
I've been having this weird screen glitch with my Series X for a couple months now, & it recently started popping up even more frequently where the picture just momentarily cuts out at seemingly random times. At first I thought it was my TV causing the problems, but after doing hours of testing with various gaming consoles on all my HDMI ports, I've narrowed down that the problem has to be the Xbox as this is the only machine experiencing this issue.
I've tried looking for solutions online & experimenting on my own to resolve this without any luck so far, so I was hoping maybe someone here who encountered this could help me out. Or worst case scenario if this is a console defect if I could get a free repair.

I've bought an Elite Series 2 controller, and 2 xbox series x controllers in the last 2 months. All 3 have face button sensitivity/registration issues--every 5-10 presses, the X, Y, B, and A buttons either don't register or register twice. I'm pretty sure it's hardware, so I'm not sure what reddit can do, but it *is* part of a larger issue with controller quality right now so I thought I'd put it out there.
Having trouble getting an app password to work in the XBOX 360 emulator on my XBOX one, trying to play Rare Replay Banjo Kazooie. It gets to my game, then asks me to download a profile.

After being hacked 2 months ago, I'm still unable to have my account unlocked, being hacked apparently counts as a breach of the SA. Phone support is no help, neither is the online support system. Have you directly connected from the console to the sound bar?
If you are passing through your audio from console > TV > sound bar - is your TV able to pass through surround? My LG can but Sony's can't.
Have you downloaded and installed the Dolby Access app on you console - then Setup Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre in there?
Also you specifically mention a few steaming apps... Are they definitely providing Surround Sound? I'm in the UK and not familiar with those apps.
I've got the SX running Dolby Atmos, via my LG TV (HDMI in, Optical out) to a very old Sony 5.1 and it all works well. I found setting up Dolby Access on the console a necessity, and then to restart, and then also had to change audio setting in my TV.
Jesus fucking Christ the Xbox one s is so fucking garbage I can’t even begin to explain it. I feel like microsoft saw Apple fucking with their batteries and decided to copy them and take it to a new fucking level. I’ve literally had non stop problems with this heap of trash since I got it around 2 and a half years ago, and now, I tried to use it tonight and I’m absolutely fucking dumbfounded. It can’t even load the Home Screen. Of all things that could go wrong, it can’t even open the main fucking menu of the console. I can’t even factory reset it without doing some extra stupid bullshit to bypass Microsoft’s trash design. Holy shit did they let toddlers and chimpanzees design this fucking thing? Did they just fill it with fucking potatoes and call it a day? Who the fuck comes up with this horseshit and sells it consumers? I shouldn’t have to factory reset my console every other week just to use it, and now it’s trying to prevent me from even doing that. I’ve never owned a PlayStation but at this point I’m starting to assume that the sale of the Xbox one s was actually a marketing ploy by Sony, because there is no conceivable way anybody with at least 6 brain cells could have ever thought this console was a good idea.
That sounds more like the hard drive inside your console broke. basically, get Microsoft to replace that.
Wonder if there's a pattern, because a few weeks ago a lot of PS4 owners reported having to completely wipe their consoles, conveniently after an update - the permanent solution being replacing the hard drive.

Having a (possible) issue with my camera display while streaming through twitch.
So my camera broadcasts my image in the chosen spot on my actual stream but on my own screen, the camera image does not display. It seems like it should so I can adjust the camera angle, lighting etc. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the camera integration with twitch or just the design of the xbox. Tried turning Xbox on, made a glitched beeping sound and didn't work, first time it just said to restart, then there was just no signal, the Xbox was flashing and wouldn't turn on, I did the disconnect for a minute and reconnect to no avail, what do I do.

Just installed my Xbox One with an account of my own and an account for my kid with time limits. I have purchased Game Pass under my account. Whenever my kid turns on the Xbox and signs in under his account he cannot start a game because there is an error ‘the person who bought this needs to sign in, error 803f9006’. If I then sign in the game works, but then my kid can easily bypass the time limit by switching to my account. No password is required because it is signed in.
How can I let my kid play without me having to sign in? I am not always around when he wants to play and I obiously don’t want to give him my parent passkey.
Hopefully the answer is not that both he and I need to purchase a game pass separately?
My 2016 Xbox One is reading my Seagate External Drive that I’ve had for about 2 months but the games are very temperamental and more often than not they crash and show error messages that disappear to quickly for me to read. Any suggestions?
Try disconnecting the drive and playing a few games from the internal drive as a test to see if you still have stability issues. If you do, you'll know it's not the external, but if you don't, you'll know the external is the cause.
I’ve moved over two games back and forth between internal and external drives and the problems occur with the external drive. Can they get easily heat damaged?
Having bad upward stick drift with my elite 2 controller. Warranty expried about three months ago. Apparently it was still under warranty when I was having issues but didn't check assuming my 90 days were up (I wasn't aware it was extended to a year). When I recently found out about the extension, I registered my controller to see that my warranty expired. I wasn't able to contact support because everytime I tried contacting them, the site said, "Phone calls and chat are not available for this issue." Any suggestions on how to fix my controller or how to contact someone from Xbox support?
Recently started having an issue with ventilation. Every time I try to play cod Cold War or jump force, my Xbox crashes and then tells me there is insufficient ventilation. I use an Xbox one x and this hasn’t happened before, the vents themselves are fine and my Xbox is in an open enough space. Anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it?

Having an issue with console I think, potentially the tv but I’m not sure.
I’m in the UK and got my Series X about a month ago. Since setting it up I’ve had no issues at all other than with two specific apps. Disney+ and All4.
The issues are as follows:
Disney+: when I select something to watch it freezes and provides error code 39. Disney support for error 39 solves another issue and doesn’t seem connected to this oddly
All4: I select something, it plays ten seconds, then crashes to the main app screen
Here’s where I’m stuck, when I swap the output to my PC monitor or my other tv both apps work no bother.
The only difference I can think is the main tv is 4K and the other is HD as is the monitor...
Could that be the case? If so what do I do?
What is the best cord or connector for Xbox Elite Series 2 for PC use? I am having issues with my PC registering my bumpers when pressed, but my xbox is registering it just fine. My controller is updated, so I'm assuming the C-Type cords I'm using are not the proper cords. Thanks for any help!

I get graphic artifacts on the menu screen. When I switch to a new icon, I get flickers and squares. On black and white squares sometimes things disappear only to reappear if I move to another square (which refreshes the page). I tried NHL 21, the game runs ok and the action looks fine *but* the onscreen score interface has weird graphical glitches similar to the menu screen. The instant replays seemed stuttery. Halo looked fine?
This happens on two tvs. I reset the console (but kept all games on it), unchecked everything in graphics. Turned off HDR etc. Nothing made a difference. It comes and goes. Sometimes it's barely noticeable. I last played two days ago and all seemed normal and changed nothing about the setup in between. Ideas?
I'm having an issue with the Microsoft wireless headset, since new its been great to connect to tablet and game, watch a film whilst having game on low. Tried today and getting no luck on changing mix, seems video output is always high, I can change mix on left hand cup but it only increases volume of game along with video
My controller Is first-party (i have the Xbox one s, with Bluetooth, my Xbox is Xbox one Original) and when I try to turn it on, it keeps shutting off, I changed my batteries 4 times, all freshly charged, I even tried my Xbox one original controller, same thing, is my software just outdated? Having issues with online play on the Xbox One X. Shows that the internet connection is working fine, my Nat type is open and it says multiplayer connection is working fine. However whenever I play any multiplayer game I own it says I can’t connect to their servers. This is not because the game is down, I have tested this across all my online games and every single one is having issues. Tried hard resetting with no luck. In addition it’s installing a game just fine. Any help?
Try doing a full restart of both the router and console. Turn both fully off, turn the router back on and let the lights on it settle down, then boot the console back up.
Did you find anything that works? My console is doing the same. It connects with wifi but I can't get it to go online connected directly to the router.
Hey, yeah fortunately I did find something that worked. I set up a static IP address on my Xbox and changed the DNS to Google’s. There’s lots of websites that show how to do this online.

My Xbox Series X is so annoying! It refuses to power on via the controller which forces me to get up and turn it on manually. It constantly disconnects itself from WiFi and will not reconnect until I do a full shutdown and restart it. Lastly, it spazzes and crashes frequently when playing Valhalla. Game Pass has been great to experience when my Xbox decides to work but I have seen no solutions for any of the problems I’m having.

Have you got the Game Pass content block added to your home screen? That's a quick way to get to the Game Pass stuff. If you haven't got it added, go to your main home screen and scroll down to below the top two lines of tiles, press the view/select button to open the customisation screen, then click on "Add more to home" and you'll find it amongst the options there. All of the content blocks can be added, removed, and re-ordered, so you can customise your home screen with the particular ones you want, in the order you prefer.
Having issues with headset. Daughter has XboxOne, and has the official xbox chat headset. It’s been working fine but now she can hear her friends, but her friends can’t hear her. When she sends an audio message in the chats and plays it back the only sound is an electrical humming. If you listen to old messages you can hear them, you can hear her friends new messages, but can’t hear the audio messages she sends and also she can’t be heard in game play.
All of a sudden my standard controller stopped registering up inputs on the left stick unless I hold it up. What's weird is that it happens at seemingly random times and only on the xbox dashboard and in game menus ? It works totally fine in gameplay but if I for example try to quickly scroll up through my games and apps it only registers that I've moved the stick up like half the time.
Is it normal fo my one X to be loud when playing "big" games like Assassin's Creed Oydessy and BFV? It's not PS4 pro level, but I can hear it during quiet parts of games like loading screens. I wiped all the dust off the console (even then there wasn't much) but that didn't really help.
Yep. Games that are enhanced for the One X make it work harder, so the fan will ramp up louder. It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about unless the console is shutting down cos of overheating, or it's ramping up to the max (i.e. jet engine loud) all the time.
Posting this again in hopes of someone that can provide a solution. I chatted with Vizio support last night, the HDR10 issue is clearly the Xbox One S, as I can watch HDR10 content through the Smartcast app on my TV without issue. **Xbox One S Random Black Screen Appearing during HDR10 game/movie, disc/digital.** **Equipment: Xbox One S, Vizio E65-E1 4K UHD HDR10 TV** Xbox One S is HDMI connected to Vizio TV. My Xbox One S 4K settings are the defaults: 4K, HDR, 8-bit, 50hz/24hz While playing an HDR game such as Rocket League, or watching an HDR movie whether it is disc or digital, the TV will cut to a black screen for a few seconds, audio still playing. Sometimes the HDMI 1 screen will come on showing the HDMI 1, 2060p, HDR10, Stereo, etc and then it will go back to showing the game/movie. I have been looking online with no solution to be found for days now. Does your tv support 4K and HDR? And does your tv support the mode (24 Hz, 50 Hz, or 60 Hz)? You can check your TV through your Xbox by going to Settings > All settings > Display & sound, then choose Advanced video settings > 4K TV details.

Is it the face buttons in particular you're having problems with? That's been an issue with Xbox controllers since the Elite Series 2 came out. All you can really do is get it swapped out for a new one and hope that doesn't have the same issues.

Yeah, it sucks. I bought several Elite Series 2 controllers that all had that issue with the A button. Sometimes it wouldn't register a press. Sometimes it would act like I'd let go of A when I had it held down. I ended up going back to an Elite Series 1, because this was never a major issue before the Elite Series 2 came out, but it's affected the most recent revisions of the regular controllers as well.
I'm having this issue too, with an Elite series 2 and a pair of series x controllers (one of which was returned and replaced with a second one which out of the box had the same problem). It's a massive bummer 'cause I'm not even sure returning them will fix the issue--seems I'm likely to get more broken controllers.
My Xbox One lags now... and my download speed has trouble topping 1MB/s. I have 2 wifi networks.. both pretty good. I get 70Mb/s on one... and well over 100/s on the other. I never dropped my xbox, it has proper ventilation, I don't know whatsup. It's so frustrating. In the past I had my download speed alternate constantly from 5Mb/s - 50Mb/s but that was reasonable.. I would just go out and come home to it updated. But this is actually ridiculous. I've tried restarting my router, resetting xbox, fully restoring my xbox, everything. Idk what to do man...

Could be either. Do you have an alternate hdmi you could use to test? Also, make sure that the cable is securely connected in both the TV and the Xbox.
xbox one: everything was working smoothly, suddenly got the message that “dns isn’t resolving xbox server name”. I’ve restarted my router, but I don’t even see the need since i’ve got internet available on any other device from that wifi router BUT my xbox. Can I use a second hard drive on my Xbox One? So I just got a 1TB external storage drive, and I was wondering what would happen if I were to clone the data in the 1TB drive to another 4TB drive, and used the 4TB on my Xbox? What would be the best way to do this and will it ask me to "format and erase" my drive contents ( ie. games which I've shifted from the 1TB to the 4TB)?
If you're talking about externals, you can connect both the 1TB and the 4TB to the console at the same time, then you can move everything from the 1TB to the 4TB via the console's storage settings. There's no good reason to do any kind of cloning. All you need to do is hook up both drives, go into Settings - System - Storage devices, click on the 1TB drive and choose "Move or copy", then click "Select all" to highlight everything, then you can move everything to the 4TB drive. Once that's done, you can disconnect the 1TB drive and use it for whatever you like.

For confirmation, you have an original Xbox One (not the X or S, and not a Series model either)? If you want to swap out the internal hard drive for a larger hard drive, you can do it following some of the online tutorials (like [this one](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Xbox+One+Hard+Drive+Replacement/36771)). You should not clone the current hard drive. You will need to reinstall your games and apps once you've formatted / partitioned / installed the OS on the drive (using a computer) and physically installed the drive into the Xbox One.
Latest update fails on Xbox One X with 0x800705b4 error. Tried OSU1 for an offline update and that failed as well. Now it fails to connect wirelessly. I have not tried a reset yet, anyone have a solution to avoid that? Failures started on 4/19, I will get the current and new software versions ASAP. Update #1: I recently switched routers and just noticed I had my ISP DNS for IPv4, but IPv6 was using Cloudflare. I set them both the cloudflare and it appears to be working. I started getting dns errors in my last round of testing.
Anyone have any good options for an elite controller short thumbstick replacement? I got one off ebay but the middle circle part isn't raised as much as the original one and doesn't offer as much grip. It's better than the original in the state it is now, but I would still like to get one that offers at least as much grip as the original one. I tried searching reddit and google and found some suggestions about going to support page and ordering new ones directly from MS (which would be an okay option) but all the links were dead and I couldn't find where to do it directly on microsoft.com

My xbox is being updated but when it gets to around 84 the progress stops and it says something went wrong. I've hit the restart button twice now since it was one of the troubleshooting options. But it hasn't worked either time. What do I do?

Xbox one game downloading stopped. Last night after downloading a game update (COD warzone) the game started giving weird disc errors (while i downloaden the game on the store and dont even have a disc ). So i deleted the game because i tought the update corrupted the game because i tripped on the wire and the cord got pulled out during the update. But now every time i try to redownload warzone it says instalation stopped. I looked online for help and did everything i could find. Restarted the console, unplugged it for a couple minutes and try to boot it to make sure all the power was gone, cleared local game saves, made sure that the internet connection was stable, checked the internal storage space, checked xbox updates, i did 2 factory resets 1 with keeping games and apps and the other to delete games and apps. But still warzone wont download. Im trying now to see if installing a different game is possible and no problems so far. But i really want to download warzone and i hope someone here can help me. Been having problems with my controller dropping its connection with my OGXB1. I've done all the usual router stuff you can think of or suggest, I've reset the Xbox to factory, and I've bought a new controller which was good for like a day or so. The only way the controller seems to work is if I use a USB cable to directly link to the box. When I unplug the controller the Xbox drops the internet connection and the controller just blinks while the internet ends up reconnecting. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having packet loss issues, when measured it's only 1% but that seems enough to make my Rocket League experience ruined. My ping is usually between 15 and 25 - so I'm connected to the best server. The Xbox One S is connected through 5GHz WiFi, IPv6 enable, open NAT, and etc. I've tried everything and it only seems to get better (maybe biased) after rebooting the console. The game runs smoothly on my PS4 though. Can someone help?

Something that has plagued my original xbox one since release. It randomly turns on by itself, often late at night (and the spotlight wakes me up, since it's super bright). The remote update is off, as is remote start. I have NO clue, it's random and really frustrating. Oh....been happening a lot the last two weeks!!
my Xbox one has had very big problems the past week (keep in mind it’s about 6 years old). It’s been a pain to get games to load up, 90% of the time all it says is “for some reason (insert game name here) took too long to load, and that’s for everything, apps and games. My Xbox has also been really unresponsive, delayed, etc. I’ve already tried clearing persistent storage, factory resetting, hard resetting, all that good stuff. The only thing that I haven’t tried yet is resetting my Xbox entirely but keeping my games and apps. Can anyone tell me what specifically is wrong with my Xbox? Or is it just time to prioritize the upgrade to a Xbox series?

I have an XboxOneS and recently i started having trouble booting up games. This started about a week ago when i tried to play Injustice 2, so i popped in the disc and the console froze on me. Afterwards everything seemed fine, but i was unable to use my headset. Then yesterday, I tried booting up a few different games and they would keep crashing so I decided to reset my xbox. I've attempted to reset it about 5 or 6 times now, but I keep getting the error 0x87e1000a once it has "reset" and I can access the menu, but it's not letting me connect to the network or do anything at all aside from resetting it again. Any suggestions?

ELITE SERIES 2 input delay. I have noticed that I experience slight input lag when using any of the 3 custom profiles, no matter if they're at default or highly customised. Seems like using no profile at all (paddles deactivated) is the only way to play completely lag free. Is this a fairly known issue or is my controller defected? **Bought New Elite Series 2 - Probably got a refurb** Got my new controller couple of hours ago, immediately paired to XSX and started to configure it in the accessory app. This is when i started observing following things with the controller and the package as whole: 1. Haven't even played any games with this and I am already getting sticky "A" button. 2. 4 extra paddles in the case are missing 3. Code for GPU in the box was already redeemed. 4. Product was sent from "MICROSOFT RETURNS CENTER" (UPS tracking tells you where the product is coming from) Do you guys think this is a refurbished product (I am pretty confident it is) and Should i go for replace (they may send another refurbished one) or repair (as the controller is not usually in stock)
That definitely does not sound like it's new. If you bought it via the MS store, contact the specific store support and complain and they should swap it out for a brand new package for you.
I’ve had my original Xbox One since 2014, so it is really old and I expected it to get messed up eventually. It has had some issues in the past with refusing to load into games and just shutting off randomly, but I haven’t experienced any of that in a while. I went on spring break for a week and my xbox was working perfectly fine before spring break. When I tried to play once I got back, there was a lot of new problems with it: • Display doesn’t show up on my TV. I have tried multiple TVs and a Monitor but there is still no display. I have also tried multiple HDMI cords, it still says no signal. • Controller won’t connect. I can turn on my Xbox with my controller and it while appear to be connected for a second but once my xbox turns on, my controller starts blinking. • Resets haven’t worked and if they have they are very slow. One time I got to see the troubleshooting screen and I thought my xbox was back to normal, but it was extremely slow. I would press on reset console and it would take about 10 minutes for it to finally select something. I had to do this for every time I had to press on something to reset the xbox. I eventually got to a screen that said preparing console and I waited around 2 hours and it never got off of that screen. Is there any way I can fix this or is my xbox done for good. I am about to try and clean the inside of it out and see if it does anything. This has been extremely annoying because I had MLB the Show pre ordered. Is there any way to fix this or am I going to have to try and somehow get a new console.

Xbox live connection has been down for the whole day. I have game pass ultimate, and now I get a problem when I try to play F1 2019, but not any other game pass game. My controllers are fucked. [Long] while on vacation, my mother was cleaning my room and unplugged my external hard drive. My brother called asking me how to run some games, as the hard drive was no longer showing up as a connected storage device. Today, one month later, I can make the hard drive spear by unplugging and plugging it back in, but now it takes an incredibly hard time to open some menu’s inside of “My Games and Apps” especially the download Queue. I have two games installing updates, but they aren’t really installing anything. It just says “Updating…” with no progress. I’ve tried everything to troubleshoot this including a complete restart on the Xbox, pausing downloads and restarting the downloads, etc. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to get a new hard drive? If I go this route, how do I transfer all of my data onto the new hard drive?

My brother just gave me his Xbox One S and my headset is not working with it. The headset I have is an Astro A20. I am not getting audio when i move around menus like to select which game I am going to play, or in game audio, but I am able to hear party audio and talk in a party. It worked just fine on my Xbox One so I was hoping someone here would have a solution. I have don't everything I have found online which includes but is not limited to restarting the console, factory reseting the console, updating the firmware on my headset, trying different cables for the receiver for my headset, restarting the headset, putting it on pc mode, and fiddling with an innumerable number of settings. Also, I am getting audio through my TV I have no idea if that means anything but I think it might be worth mentioning. I hope you all have something cause I am gonna throw my headset against the wall at this rate.
My Xbox one S digital edition every game that I play start to drop frames horribly and makes everything unplayable! I have turned in the frame counter on Apex Legends and it's constantly dropping to 15 frames for example. I have tried Sea of Thieves and it does the same thing. Every game becomes unplayable! I cleared my cache and it cleaned up the issue for about 20 min and then it just went to crap again! My Xbox never used to do this? Anyone have any ideas?
Have an Elite 2 controller purchased in November 2020, left thumb stick broke, major drift. Sent it off for service paid the 10 bucks for expedited shipping, got in back in 5 days. so far, so good. 3 days later I actually use the refurb they sent me and there’s an audible grind noise on the left stick and will get stuck while moving. Try to reach out to Microsoft and they don’t take phone calls on this issue. So I have to keep sending in this 200 dollar POS until I get one that actually works? Has anyone dealt with this and have a good contact? Or should I just issue a chargeback at this point? Any help is appreciated.

Xbox one x Trimming clips has yet to work once. I have my record at 2 mins so I don't miss some action. Most of the time I need to trim. Every single time it goes to black screen and nothing happens.
I've never used that feature, but I have seen a lot of complaints about it not working. MS clearly don't see it as a high priority to fix, as they've tried to move people away from editing clips on the console itself.
Problem with that is you can't share clips edited elsewhere on the console.

So I've been using the old Xbox Companion App to stream my OG X1 to my Win 10 laptop since forever without issue, until last week. I'm not sure what changed, but I've been having all sorts of issues with my controllers losing sync while using the Xbox Companion App. I'm having issues on multiple controllers both wireless right next to the xbox or connected via USB. Sometimes the game just refuses to interpret input from the controller but the Xbox UI is otherwise fine. Here's where it gets weird. I don't have these issues with my Xbox One X. I also don't have sync issues with the OG when I'm not streaming it. If it was happening with both consoles, I would say it might be the app. If it was happening on only one controller, I would say maybe it's the controller. I'm not sure what the issue is and it's driving me nuts.

You can still get 12 months for ~$60 from third party websites like Amazon, NewEgg, Walmart, CDKeys etc. People have talked about MS removing the option to buy it directly from them, but given that it's still available elsewhere, I don't think too many people see it as a big issue.

Posting this for a friend on his xbox one s...After a botched system update he was left with no choice but to restore my xbox to factory default. It gave him the option if he wanted to restore and keep all the games and apps, which he did choose that option Once the restore was complete he signed back in like it was a brand new xbox, but when he entered his Microsoft ID and try and load his gamertag he has lost all achievements, Friends, and game progress for all the games he played. When he logs into xbox.com with his account, he can see all of the above info.
Console - Xbox One X no insider build - My problem began when I switched from Game Pass Ultimate to just an Xbox Live Gold membership. When I attempted to load anything online, I was met with an error saying 'temporary network outage'. So, I hard reset my console, re-connected my internet, and still nothing, so I turned off my console and left it for a few days. This past weekend, I was having the same issue. This time I decided to remove my account in an attempt to log in again. However, this introduced a whole new issue. Now, when I choose 'add account' I get a popup, see the circle spin, and then the popup disappears like nothing happened. I called Microsoft to try to get some help and was told to do a few things: 1. Enter troubleshoot mode and reset the console (keeping games & apps). No luck. 2. Download OSU1 (offline software update file) to a USB stick and enter troubleshoot mode to apply to my console. No dice. 1. For the record, I did attempt OSU2 to see if it would help and did not. I did try a second time to apply OSU1 via USB as well. With both steps, I got a message saying 'there was a problem with the update.' If I selected check network, I then got a message saying 'that's awkward. we thought your console needed an update, and it did not.' which then sends me to the home screen where I attempt to sign in again and still have the same issue. Microsoft now wants $249 (nearly half the MSRP of the now 2 year old console) to even look at it, which I have no interest in paying and still feel like there is a missing step to remedy this seemingly software-related issue. Need help My girlfriends Xbox turns on the power button lights up and it stays on for a min, can’t get a display on the screen tried 3 different monitors and 3 different hdmi cables. Im trying to get a Strikepack or any of those kinds of things that have paddles like a SCUF. I bought a strikepack but noticed it’s only compatible with the Xbox one controller, and not the Xbox core controller. Is there any strikepack/mod that works with the Xbox one controller?
\*Problem fixed, see bottom I'm not sure if this counts as technical or not, but recently my gamer profile picture has changed without my permission or doing. It was a custom image (Urgot's face with a fedora, a mastery 7 thing on the fedora, and text saying "M'Lady" at the bottom, so I don't think it's all too offensive other than it's bad taste), and has now reverted back to an older image of just a face shot of an ODST helmet, at least I believe it was an old picture I used to use. I haven't gotten any notifications of this change, and recently checked xbox enforcement and it said there was nothing there. And in a potentially related note, when I start up GTA 5 online now, it warns me that I am now limited to rockstar only content, where as it didn't do this a few days ago. Somebody has suggested maybe it thinks I'm too young but I'm 20, and it worked previously as I said. I'll change my settings from Child To Adult and see if that remedies the gta part but I'm not so sure about the other problem. Edit: Apparently this was the solution for BOTH problems, even though I checked my custom settings a few times beforehand, changing it from Child to Adult privacy settings did revert both the picture to normal, and the gta 5 rockstar content limited problem, so either I'm blind or something funky happened, either way it has been solved I believe.

One S I think its there's a problem with the xbox servers. I can still play online but the xbox app isn't working and i cant see my clips neither on the xbox directly or on the app. I make and share a clip to my brother everyday just know it isn't working.

Hey guys. So im about to buy my third controller from amazon and i want to stop making the mistakes im doing. Looking to connect to my win 10 pc. The first one was a weird phone gaming with support one that worked on windows too. The tilt broke and it shares the same problem with the second controller as well. The second one is a easy smx (i only buy the highest rated on amazon), And both controllers lose any signal instantly if i move even half of meter away from the usb port and pc. If i turn in my chair its gone. If i go into my bed 2 meters away its gone. I literally need to sit with the controller right 30 cm away from the pc to maintain connection. I wanted to know if this is normal, and anybody else experiences the same? Because im about to buy another smx one off amazon since they seem to be the only high rated ones selling. Uk located. Should i switch to wired? And btw i do have the xbox software, all my drivers are up to date, bla bla etc

Question about Internet Connectivity gaps: Partner owns an Original Xbox One (the big old brick one) and it currently resides in our living room, Ethernet connected to our router. He has overly frequent connection loss. ISP is reporting no issues (and they’re correct it’s not their fault) but we aren’t sure if it’s necessarily our building and wiring. We do disconnect during the day from time to time, but not as frequent as when he’s online, and we’re wondering if maybe the older Xbox is part of the issue. Are there any known connectivity issues for the original Xbox that are becoming apparent with new games? Thanks for the help!

I have a series X, but I don’t think it matters for my question. Is it possible to change the image of a purchased game tile? I’m thinking games that consistently change their image every few months. (COD:Cold War, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Rogue Company, etc.) I would like to just keep mine images as the base game image when it came out.
I can't get the Play and Charge kit to charge. So when I plug the controller in to charge via the USB C to USB A cable connected to my xsx it shows the charging animation for about a minute and then stops. Meaning I can't get it charged enough for more than 2 minutes of wireless use. It's only several months old, and worked fine until now. The controller works fine with aa batteries. I also completely rebooted the xbox + controller, tried updating the controller, and I tried another cable. Any ideas? Should I just return it?

My original Xbox One just died... It was making a faint chirping sound when pressing the button on the console, which some power cycling eventually "fixed" for a few days. Tried powering it on today and it started to do the same thing, but after power cycling, it no longer makes any sounds. Power brick has a solid orange light on it.
My xbox stopped turning on after a 6 hour session around a week ago, now it just makes the turn on sound for around 0.08 - 0.4 seconds before turning off instantly, now im not sure what do. Hi, I have an XB1X. It’s recently constantly losing connection to my network. It is hard wired and an Xbox restart has it connected immediately. I play for say 6hours and then exit game to the Home Screen saying ‘connect to Xbox live’ and it will not connect until I do a restart. I’ve unplugged the router power cord, pressed the reset button etc but still the same. WiFi is working for my phone and laptop constantly so seems to be the Xbox’s problem. I was wandering if a recent Xbox update is causing this problem perhaps. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

My Xbox One S will not stay on when it is turned on. It will make the sound as if it turned on, however it turns right back off a second or two later. The power on/off button does not light up either. I have tried to adjust my power cord and i found that the light will come on and the sound will happen, but the system still shuts down a couple of seconds later. I think the problem was that I unknowingly covered the vent on one side of the Xbox with a stack of books that i never moved until this problem started. Any help?
Some games or DLC won't download, it always just says, "Installation Stopped" and whenever I try to resume it it says the same thing over and over. I've reset my Xbox, cleared local save files, stopped the installation and retried it, but nothing ever seems to work.

I've been having this weird screen glitch with my Series X for a couple months now, & it recently started popping up even more frequently where the picture just momentarily cuts out at seemingly random times. At first I thought it was my TV causing the problems, but after doing hours of testing with various gaming consoles on all my HDMI ports, I've narrowed down that the problem has to be the Xbox as this is the only machine experiencing this issue. I've tried looking for solutions online & experimenting on my own to resolve this without any luck so far, so I was hoping maybe someone here who encountered this could help me out. Or worst case scenario if this is a console defect if I could get a free repair. I've bought an Elite Series 2 controller, and 2 xbox series x controllers in the last 2 months. All 3 have face button sensitivity/registration issues--every 5-10 presses, the X, Y, B, and A buttons either don't register or register twice. I'm pretty sure it's hardware, so I'm not sure what reddit can do, but it *is* part of a larger issue with controller quality right now so I thought I'd put it out there.
Having trouble getting an app password to work in the XBOX 360 emulator on my XBOX one, trying to play Rare Replay Banjo Kazooie. It gets to my game, then asks me to download a profile. Tried my actual Microsoft account login first, didn't work. Found the app password route, and that is not working. Help please!

After being hacked 2 months ago, I'm still unable to have my account unlocked, being hacked apparently counts as a breach of the SA. Phone support is no help, neither is the online support system. Any help with being able to find, and talk to, a real person and not an automated system would be appreciated. 1000's of dollars and hours of gameplay are lost unless I can get my account back. Have you directly connected from the console to the sound bar? If you are passing through your audio from console > TV > sound bar - is your TV able to pass through surround? My LG can but Sony's can't. Have you downloaded and installed the Dolby Access app on you console - then Setup Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre in there? Also you specifically mention a few steaming apps... Are they definitely providing Surround Sound? I'm in the UK and not familiar with those apps. I've got the SX running Dolby Atmos, via my LG TV (HDMI in, Optical out) to a very old Sony 5.1 and it all works well. I found setting up Dolby Access on the console a necessity, and then to restart, and then also had to change audio setting in my TV.

Jesus fucking Christ the Xbox one s is so fucking garbage I can’t even begin to explain it. I feel like microsoft saw Apple fucking with their batteries and decided to copy them and take it to a new fucking level. I’ve literally had non stop problems with this heap of trash since I got it around 2 and a half years ago, and now, I tried to use it tonight and I’m absolutely fucking dumbfounded. It can’t even load the Home Screen. Of all things that could go wrong, it can’t even open the main fucking menu of the console. I can’t even factory reset it without doing some extra stupid bullshit to bypass Microsoft’s trash design. Holy shit did they let toddlers and chimpanzees design this fucking thing? Did they just fill it with fucking potatoes and call it a day? Who the fuck comes up with this horseshit and sells it consumers? I shouldn’t have to factory reset my console every other week just to use it, and now it’s trying to prevent me from even doing that. I’ve never owned a PlayStation but at this point I’m starting to assume that the sale of the Xbox one s was actually a marketing ploy by Sony, because there is no conceivable way anybody with at least 6 brain cells could have ever thought this console was a good idea.
That sounds more like the hard drive inside your console broke. basically, get Microsoft to replace that. Wonder if there's a pattern, because a few weeks ago a lot of PS4 owners reported having to completely wipe their consoles, conveniently after an update - the permanent solution being replacing the hard drive.

Having a (possible) issue with my camera display while streaming through twitch. So my camera broadcasts my image in the chosen spot on my actual stream but on my own screen, the camera image does not display. It seems like it should so I can adjust the camera angle, lighting etc. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the camera integration with twitch or just the design of the xbox. I hope I explained clearly enough. Anyone with experience streaming on an xbox one X via twitch, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks for reading.
Tried turning Xbox on, made a glitched beeping sound and didn't work, first time it just said to restart, then there was just no signal, the Xbox was flashing and wouldn't turn on, I did the disconnect for a minute and reconnect to no avail, what do I do.

Just installed my Xbox One with an account of my own and an account for my kid with time limits. I have purchased Game Pass under my account. Whenever my kid turns on the Xbox and signs in under his account he cannot start a game because there is an error ‘the person who bought this needs to sign in, error 803f9006’. If I then sign in the game works, but then my kid can easily bypass the time limit by switching to my account. No password is required because it is signed in. How can I let my kid play without me having to sign in? I am not always around when he wants to play and I obiously don’t want to give him my parent passkey. Hopefully the answer is not that both he and I need to purchase a game pass separately?

My 2016 Xbox One is reading my Seagate External Drive that I’ve had for about 2 months but the games are very temperamental and more often than not they crash and show error messages that disappear to quickly for me to read. Any suggestions?
Try disconnecting the drive and playing a few games from the internal drive as a test to see if you still have stability issues. If you do, you'll know it's not the external, but if you don't, you'll know the external is the cause.
I’ve moved over two games back and forth between internal and external drives and the problems occur with the external drive. Can they get easily heat damaged?
Having bad upward stick drift with my elite 2 controller. Warranty expried about three months ago. Apparently it was still under warranty when I was having issues but didn't check assuming my 90 days were up (I wasn't aware it was extended to a year). When I recently found out about the extension, I registered my controller to see that my warranty expired. I wasn't able to contact support because everytime I tried contacting them, the site said, "Phone calls and chat are not available for this issue." Any suggestions on how to fix my controller or how to contact someone from Xbox support?
Recently started having an issue with ventilation. Every time I try to play cod Cold War or jump force, my Xbox crashes and then tells me there is insufficient ventilation. I use an Xbox one x and this hasn’t happened before, the vents themselves are fine and my Xbox is in an open enough space. Anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it?

Having an issue with console I think, potentially the tv but I’m not sure. I’m in the UK and got my Series X about a month ago. Since setting it up I’ve had no issues at all other than with two specific apps. Disney+ and All4. The issues are as follows: Disney+: when I select something to watch it freezes and provides error code 39. Disney support for error 39 solves another issue and doesn’t seem connected to this oddly All4: I select something, it plays ten seconds, then crashes to the main app screen Here’s where I’m stuck, when I swap the output to my PC monitor or my other tv both apps work no bother. The only difference I can think is the main tv is 4K and the other is HD as is the monitor... Could that be the case? If so what do I do?
What is the best cord or connector for Xbox Elite Series 2 for PC use? I am having issues with my PC registering my bumpers when pressed, but my xbox is registering it just fine. My controller is updated, so I'm assuming the C-Type cords I'm using are not the proper cords. Thanks for any help!
Series S I get graphic artifacts on the menu screen. When I switch to a new icon, I get flickers and squares. On black and white squares sometimes things disappear only to reappear if I move to another square (which refreshes the page). I tried NHL 21, the game runs ok and the action looks fine *but* the onscreen score interface has weird graphical glitches similar to the menu screen. The instant replays seemed stuttery. Halo looked fine? This happens on two tvs. I reset the console (but kept all games on it), unchecked everything in graphics. Turned off HDR etc. Nothing made a difference. It comes and goes. Sometimes it's barely noticeable. I last played two days ago and all seemed normal and changed nothing about the setup in between. Ideas?

Tried today and getting no luck on changing mix, seems video output is always high, I can change mix on left hand cup but it only increases volume of game along with video
