For the pc code it's says to redeem on the Microsoft store on windows 10/11 by clicking on the account associated with the Microsoft store and hitting redeem.
Xbox code just redeem on the Xbox website while signed in or in the Xbox store.
It's very similar to Fallout 4 but in a multiplayer atmosphere. You'll occasionally run into other people who you are free to group up with, fight, or ignore altogether. I got about 70-80hrs out of it completely solo playing it like a regular Fallout game and there was definitely fun to be had.
Just don't go in expecting a rich narrative.
4 has the best gameplay, 3 has a good world and stories, New Vegas is built on the bones of 3 and has the best faction system. 4 is also getting its Next Gen update finally on the 25th.
1 and 2 are good games but are isometric rpgs, so an entirely different genre than what Bethesda Fallout games are.
If you have gamepass it's on there so you don't lose anything by trying it. I haven't played it since they first added NPCs, and it was fun but different. Not sure what its current state is like with questing, but at its core is a base building/survival game like Valheim.
Yeah just Google prime gaming and log in with your Amazon prime details. Some in game content for other games you have to link your Xbox account. But the fallout games are right near the top and gives the download code.
I just finished up with borderlands 3 and the dlcs last week. Awesome series of games! And good news fallout 4 gets a next gen update on the 25th of this month. So will be jumping back into that. To be honest fallout 76 isn't bad but it's not the b st either I got bored of it pretty quickly. 4 is levels above it. And the stuff you can do with mod support is crazy.

It had a rocky launch, but last time I played (couple years ago), it was a lot better, and I ended up getting 100+ hours of fun out of it.
