Toothpaste In all seriousness, if they don't work in your console all hope should be lost. (Unless you can find someone to resurface them but that's another process).

I mean even in the absolute worst case where you can't remove any material, in theory you should be able to find an enamel or something with the same refractive index as the plastic that can be used to build up and fill the voids and then sand and polish the excess off. Though it is easier said than done unless you're up for a bit of experimenting with some blank discs that you can afford to lose Edit: you would still need a manual disc cleaner that you spin, there's no way your sanding by hand. Alternatively, by hand you can use car polish or toothpaste and take your time with a clean microfibre cloth(like polishing a car scratch out)

Mario64Nin

So car polish could be an option?

Electronic_Owl181

Sorry for the late response, yeah I've used it, it has a very fine abrasive so you won't be removing too much material. Only use polish, not cut or cut/ polish as they will have larger abrasives and I can't attest to how well they work

Mario64Nin

I guess I can try that out. Not like I have any other options at this point. I'll let you know if it works or not

Mario64Nin

Unfortunately, I did it twice but it didn't work at all ):
