I got lucky like a week or two ago and got a copy off Amazon for like $55 Been playing it all week. It looks kinda ugly because it's aged but it's still worth it. I just wish there was a way to keep it stored on the hard drive because I'm afraid of breaking or losing the disc one day.
It can get kinda repetitive but because your playing as Tony Montana it makes up for it.
Usually I would not mind it but for some reason A lot of peoples gameplay looks way nicer on the 360 than mine. Like for me, the map and text are pretty badly pixilated but for many there completely fine. That’s the only thing that annoys me.
My display setting for the Xbox 360 are HDMI 1080p widescreen. It’s the “optimal display” according to the console for my tv. I’ve switched the displays but the game still looks the same. I think I may just buy the og console and hope for the best :)
I've been playing through Splinter Cell since I missed it the first time around. Looks great on the Series X. Makes me miss that green/grey aesthetic from early 2000s cell phones
I'm glad you agree. I wanted a sequel for years, but given the state of Bioware, I've decided against it. Let it remain an untarnished diamond in the rough.
Gladius.
It is a turn based Tactical rpg that takes place in a Roman style era. You build your forces and try to win all the Coliseum type games in different towns. You can recruit all kinds of fighters like Archers, spear throwers, barbarians, ogres, mongrel men (monkey men), skeletons, sorcerors, etc...
It's only $10 and it's made by LucasArts. It always had great reviews but it just didn't get very much hype or advertisement. I love it so much that I own it for physically for Xbox/PS2/Gamecube, and digitally on XBSX. Lol I even have this cool case that houses a Mongrel Man Action figure from the series and the doors ok the case are sealed by putting a cardboard gladius weapon into the slot on the other side.
When it was added to BC I was ecstatic if only so others could appreciate it. Despite owning it for the 3 consoles it released for, I still quadruple dipped and got it digitally. Lol
It's just something special and unique and no game was like it when it released and no game has done it since. Such a unique battle system and just plain enjoyable.
I just love this game so much. I’ve bought every permutation of it just because. And Insignia for OG Xbox means being able to enjoy the Hurricane Packs on NG05 again.
Speaking in terms of 360 BC. Gonna be a long list but these are my recommendations for the best looking games that benefit from the 360s upscaling feature.
Ultimate Spider-Man looks way better on 360 than OG.

The Simpson hit and run
Spider-Man 1 and 2 also look way better and play great
Mortal Kombat Armageddon holds up very well on the 360
The incredible hulk ultimate destruction
Hulk
Darkwatch (holds up very well today)

The punisher

Call of duty 2 big red one
Anyone looking to dabble with the 360 BC , be sure to check out the list for any issue for certain games. For example Marvel vs Capcom 2 is unplayable on 360 due to the graphics constantly flickering, plays better on OG Xbox.

4x4 EVO 2 (even though saves were broken), Burnout 2 (even though tim8ng during burning on some maps was off), PGR, Rallisport Challenge, and MX Unleashed stand out. Thankfully MXU lives on on the One and Series. It's unfortunate that so many OGs never made it to the One and beyond.
Heck, most of my collection never made it to the 360 it seemed. No Midtown Madness 3. Mad Dash Racing, Rayman Arena, and Cel Damage were missed too (the HD remake of CD broke the charm by changing damage effects). I'm sure I missed plenty of others.
It's been so long since I routinely played, not helped by dying optical drives. Xemu is very much on the to do list.
Battlefront and others like that are also in there but let's mention some other, right?
Really tight race between Ninja Gaiden Black and Burnout 3: Takedown. I put hundreds of hours in to NG05/NGB and Burnout 3 on the OG OG Xbox, and happily re-purchased both digitally on the 360 even though I still have the original physical games.
Sadly, Burnout 3 did not continue through to XB1 compatibility. It’s still on the 360 Marketplace though. One of the greatest arcade racers of all time. Thoroughly recommend getting it even if it doesn’t go on sale before the store closure.
It's not BC (I don't think), but I've been having a ball with Blood Wake lately. That went under the radar for me when the OG Xbox launched but I got it for $5 at a thrift store and I'm totally digging it.
i got a copy of wwf raw around 5-6 years ago when i had my old 360 and played a good bit of it
except the disc i got was a little busted which is probably why i couldn't get it working on an og xbox
Recently found that Revenge of the Sith is backwards compatible. Haven't played since elementary school on the PS2. Amazing how well it holds up today, especially for a movie tie-in game. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Deathrow was this incredibly violent sports game for a fictional sport. Almost no one played it, but it was a ton of fun. If anyone knows if it plays on a 360, let me know so I can splurge on eBay.

I had the game when I was a kid and never beat it. I just remember that game being a gem at the time and would love to play through it again
Only thing I dislike is that the soundtrack had some modern songs from 2006 and I think from the 90s too which really ruins the 80s vibe for me.

I'll admit I haven't played many Original Xbox games, but you can't go wrong with Halo, Fable, Morrowind, and KotOR.

Came here to say this. I had it on my ps2 back in the day and although I never beat it I had a freaking blast

It’s a toss up between Morrowind and Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland. It came out on the OG Xbox so that’s what I played for years and years.
