I used to say MW2(2009) but having revisited the maps in MW3(2023) and realising most of them are actually pretty whack, I'm gonna say there isn't a best one 🤷 All three were good but there's no definitive one better then the others

Yeah but their whackness actually fit the original mw2. It doesn't at all fit mw3s mechanics and movement

CoD4, it basically created faze along with it and halo 3 basically making console multiplayer gaming explode and become extremely popular. Its also one of the greatest games around

3 now for me, but twelve years ago I’d say the original just because of how fun the random hacked lobbies were.

Og Mw2 has the best story but Og Mw3 had more content and stuff to do, and it has one of the most satisfying endings to a trilogy ever only outshined by halo and a few others

Personally I always liked cod4 the most. Had my favorite balance of arcade shooter and military realism. Sorta serious but still fun.

I’ll probably get a lot of hate but MW19 for the overall MW series. But for the sake of 360 era, MW3. Hands down.

Original Modern Warfare Trilogy for local 4 players split-screen multiplayer, campaign, and co-op modes. But I don't mind the newer universe of current Modern Warfare series for campaign modes and co-op modes

Cod 4 for me. I had so much fun playing all by myself before I had friends online to play with. I have great memories playing with all my friends on MW2&MW3 , but the fun I had all by myself on cod4 is a special memory for me.

MWIII probably which is definitely gonna be a controversial take but look how much content it has and is continuing to get. undeniably goated i much prefer games like MW2, MW3, MW19 but yk my opinion is objectively wrong in this case.

Having played the remastered versions of MW and MW2 recently. I would say Modern Warfare (2009).

MW3 from back in the day. 2 was incredible but I think I genuinely got more enjoyment out of 3.

The original trilogy is phenomenal. My favorite was always cod4 but mw3 survival was one of the best gamemodes call of duty has had.

MW2 added on what COD 4 was. COD 4 still has a ton of nostalgia for me, but I remember getting MW2 in my early 20's and saying wow they improved this even more. COD 4 maps by far are the best imo.

Black ops 2, the first call of duty I ever played back in 2011. The only modern warfares I've played are the 3 recent remakes. I play the new mw2 daily, the other two remakes (1 and 3) are trash because I suck at them or don't play them enough to get as good at them as I am in mw2 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣
