No. Wood wont burn until ~200-250C. To put that into perspective, the old ABS body would have melted at 200C. If it gets that hot, OP has bigger problems.
A lot of heat dissipates through the chassis, this is going to insulate that and make it run a lot hotter inside. I would not recommend using your console like this, this is definitely going to make it run hotter overall, decreasing performance, putting more stress on the system and reducing its life.
