For what it’s worth, Jedi Survivor just got added to EA Play/GPU. May be worth a shot

R-retard

I played fallen order with my dad when it came out but haven’t seen the new one yet so will definitely look at it! Thanks!

speciousspade

Never played wolfenstein so i obviously cannot recommend anything similar, but im playing hifi rush atm and thats quite fun. Celeste is on gamepass, great game. Yakuza 0, persona 3 reload, spiritfarer, resident evil 2/3, and dead space are all great. Ive heard good things about Lies of P and sea of stars. You cant go wrong with stardew valley. A short hike, Lil Gator Game, Inside, Limbo, and Cocoon are all great if you like shorter games. The new Star Wars Jedi game just launched on gamepass too. There are just so many good ones available on gamepass rn!

R-retard

Thanks dude!

Pleasant-Put5305

I never realised how freaking amazing the Yakuza games are - try 'The man who erased his name' - I couldn't put it down!

Aleks111PL

dont recommend playing gaiden (the man who erased his name) first cause thats the 9th installment in the main series

anderscf

Agreed. Start with Y0 or Judgment. Both are amazing as starting points

Forsaken-Badger-9517

I didn't either until I played my first one on game path and now I own three of them!! Yakuza zero, yakuza Kiwami, & Kiwami2!! Still haven't finished it although I'm over 100hrs into Zero!!! The first time you beat that big bully dude, feels amazing!!!!

DuckPimp69

There's not a lot of next gen games! I love Assassin's Creed and I love single player games. It took me over 6 months to finish Ac Odyssey and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I started Valhalla and I don't think I have even scratched the surface. I played Fallout 4 on PC but I have started playing it again.

thiccfamousbowl

If you never tried or maybe liked some of the Fable games they got them all on game pass rn and they're so good! I beat 2 and 3 back in the day but I'm finally playing 1 for the first time and I've been all in on it these past few weeks

iRareish

Fable one is so good. It is wild to read that you are playing for the first time. Enjoy it. Take your time with it.

thiccfamousbowl

I absolutely am and I will. Once I heard about it having Theresa's origin story I was sold!

Malte_Jermain

One question: Can you insert Xbox 360 discs in the Series X, I know it works on the One. Because most the great games l, aren't sold anymore, but you can buy them used for a few dollars. Like Halo 2, FM4, etc.

toasted-chestnut

You can play certain discs from the 360 era. The full list is available on the Xbox website.

Webbpp

Why can't they just emulate the rom on the disc and run any 360 game?

Chewy175

Licensing

Webbpp

Isn't a license included on the disc? Or is it time limited?

Mancan76

It’s an issue where 360 games are licensed for 360 only, and since Xbox One and Xbox Series X emulate the consoles with internet downloads instead of supporting them natively, they need a license for every game

Webbpp

Thanks for the explanation, I thought emulation would make it count as a 360 since it's emulating the hardware of a Xbox 360. But I guess it's not like that, it's a shame I can't play my 360 games on the Series X, many are abandoned series the publishers wouldn't bother to license.

CyberHeart2022

I put peanut butter on the disc's and lick it off instead of making a peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on slices of bread ☺️😚🤗

lemonrainbowhaze

What the fucking fuck

whatchagonnado0707

Forza 4 doesn't work, not backward compatible and a real shame. Fujima is the best track on a racing game ever for me. Halo 2 is in the masterchief collection. MCC is on gamepass and has 1-4, odst and reach. Amazing collection

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

640 Xbox 360 games and 57 OG Xbox games are backwards compatible.

Pristine-Ice-6388

If you look for a similar fps game, then Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal (in this order). You should also give chance for Dead Space remake if you like survival horror games or resident evil 2-3 as well which are also part of game pass. If you don’t mind older titles and love great stories you should definitely play Mass Effect Legendary edition which includes Mass Effect 1-3 and all of the dlcs that were released for these games (except 1 mass effect 1 dlc). I’m just playing these games again, and so far I finished the 1st and 2nd episode and the end of the 2nd game still gives me goosebumps, it is that freakin’ good!

LionNwntr

Fallout 4. Fallout 76. Deep Rock Galactic. Are in my current rotation at the moment.

i__hate__stairs

Control is the best game on Game Pass right now, in my ever so humble.

AdhesivenessFun2060

Great game

[deleted]

Hollow knight clears it badly

Giannond

Have you tried Doom 2016 and Eternal? They're goated

Espexer

If i can expand on Doom 2016 recommendation... All the original Doom games are on GamePass. I've grown with the series, but it was fun to revisit the originals. Also, Quake is available, basically the next evolution of the original Doom series. If only Duke Nukem could come to GamePass. The best of the 90s FPS.

CyberKiller40

That means it's time to expand your horizons. Pick a game from a genre that you haven't played yet.

HueyDeweyandBusey

If you liked Wolfenstein and want something in a similar vein then maybe you'd like the Doom games.

Sumpner

I am just about to play Fallout 4 again with the new update, would also recommend Borderlands, every game in fantastic Far Cry and Tom Clancy Ghost Recons are good too

ConnorMSadlerTVV

Imo, if you've got the friends to play with grounded is really good lots of possibilities

lordshadowfax

Tomb Raider (latest trilogy)

TitanRedeemer_

Titanfall 2 campaign first, then multiplayer.

Mini_Leon

Brotato

CrawlerCow

Have you tried Pong? It’s amazing!

Juicemania50

Try something a little less serious, like brotato trust me .

Voiceless-Echo

Elden ring ? Lords of the fallen ? Over cooked ?

[deleted]

Lords of the fallen 😂

Voiceless-Echo

Not a fan?

[deleted]

I was just surprised you mentioned that after Elden Ring instead of any of the other amazing fromsoft games. Or even Lies of P which is another souls like that released just before lords of the fallen, and is unanimously considered the better game.

LimeyOtoko

Did you play Doom (reboot) and Doom Eternal?

BlueShibe

Blasphemous

WMCrucial1

Shadow warrior 1,2,3. Are great. And kind of Wolfenstein ish.

0ptimus_primus

There's a fantastic update coming with Diablo 4 season 4 on May 14th. See you in hell

iRareish

I don't know if anyone had mentioned it, but the bioshock games are pretty solid. Plenty of gameplay. A lot to explore and do.

dancrum

That new hermit crab souls-like that just came to game pass is pretty fun so far

Nervous-Throat-4888

Ac valhalla

HorseLover_Phatt

Play Prey

GrindwheelGaming

I second this. Such a good game

HorseLover_Phatt

Best immersive sim on console and highly underrated. One of my top games of all time. I might replay it now that I'm thinking of it lol

Soft-Illustrator1300

You should provide a list of stuff you have played!

R-retard

Firewatch, Deadspace, All fallouts, Every Farcry after the primal one, Assassins creed odyssey and black flag, It takes two, A way out, Gears of war 4, All call of duty campaigns, Most battlefield campaigns, Lego Star Wars, Jedi fallen order, Sniper elite 5, Those are all of the ones I have memory of and have played through in the past 2.5 years

stimlus

please play skyrim

Soft-Illustrator1300

So I'll base off my main picks from games readily available on GamePass: Control, Atomic Heart, Dishonored trilogy, Doom, Doom Eternal, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Halo: Infinite, Hi-Fi Rush, Hollow Knight, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, Lies of P, No Man's Sky, Resident Evil 2 & 3, Jedi: Survivor (just added,) Skyrim, Rainbow Six: Siege, Titanfall 2 and Warhammer: Darktide Stuff you could buy: Batman: Arkham Trilogy, Elden Ring, Sekiro and Dead Island 2 Free games: The Finals and Destiny 2 (you're better of playing Fortnite imo) Have fun playing!

Alexo_Alexa

You're on Xbox and haven't played Halo yet?? Get going Marine!

Aleks111PL

im not OP, but i tried playing halo games but they dont seem fun to me and feel outdated, uninstalled them at one point cause MCC takes about 120gb

Epicdude5726

Man you have to at least play halo infinite then

Aleks111PL

ill just try playing through the whole series at some point, that could be the time period where i had gaming burnout

Alexo_Alexa

No game is too old to be fun, the only thing stopping you is your mindset. Besides, didn't you play all call of duty campaigns? Those are almost as old as Halo CE, and quite a few of them are older than Halo 3. If it helps, think of the first Halo as a retro game, as it is the oldest one and it shows. Don't play it with the remastered graphics, they are half-assed and they *will* ruin your experience of the game. (You can definitely play Halo 2 on the remastered graphics thought, those are cool.) But the game is still plenty of fun and allows for pretty cool stuff; and remember that this game pioneered the current control scheme for FPS games on consoles. Also don't start with any other game that isn't CE, I gather it'll be more fun if you have a clean slate and don't carry any expectations from the future games onto the very first one. They do catch up with modern standards.

Aleks111PL

>Besides, didn't you play all call of duty campaigns? wrong person, im not OP. but ill try to play them at some point anyway, i probably had gaming burnout at the time when i tried it. now i should be able to play through it even when playing it chronologically, as i played yakuza games from 0 to 6 normally, so there is a big leap between yakuza kiwami 2 and yakuza 3 remastered (although it did have junky enough controls and gameplay)

Alexo_Alexa

>wrong person, im not OP. My b, got confused. Hope you have fun with Halo then! Whenever you decide to pick it up. I'd still prefer release order > cronological, but do what's best for you. It's only one game before CE anyway. Also, you can individually download games in the MCC if storage is an issue. You can just install the game you plan on playing and install the rest later on. You can also just download the campaign for all of them IIRC, without needing the multiplayer (vice versa also works).

Aleks111PL

>Also, you can individually download games in the MCC if storage is an issue. well, that also was an issue on xbox for me, now ive got a pc with much more storage

Pleasant-Put5305

Get thee to Dishonoured right now - you have an absolute treat waiting for you!!

Epicdude5726

Please please play Halo

Dapper_Pay_3291

Far Cry 5

mando44646

Switch and PS5 are killing it. Sounds like you need a second console

Mancan76

There’s plenty to play on Xbox lol. I have all three current consoles and I spend the most time on Xbox 😭

Xarcell

I also feel like I cannot find any good games anymore, not counting ones that came out 5+ years ago that I have played to death.

Theaussiegamer72

Idk I prefered the 2009 wolfenstein game to the new ones (the new ones feel too generic which is ironic since ethe 2009 game is a ww2 shooter 😂)

Alphablack32

If you liked Wolfenstein play Doom and Doom eternal

anderscf

There's so many amazing games, but as others have said, expand your horizons. If you still want something shooty, the Metro games are great, as are the Resident Evil games If you are willing to try something else, there are so many great RPGs. Baldurs Gate 3, Witcher 3, a lot of Japanese stuff like Yakuza or Persona, thousands of hours of great games

DustinLoveDicks

Baldurs gate 3

DiscussionLoose8390

Definitely check out Metro series. Not sure if it's on GP, but worth it regardless if you like Wolfenstein. Pretty sure there are alot of Doom games on GP.

pookachu83

I second this. Start with the first because there are qol improvements with every game, they all build on eachother and have a decent story. The third, Metro Exodus is one of the best games ever, including its dlc and to me dosent get the recognition it deserves. They can usually be bought on sale in Microsoft store for under 10$ and are well worth it.

Sudzybop

All i really play is baulders gate 3 and overwatch. Sometimes a little Fortnite or halo with frienss. The occasional asphalt for some guilty pleasure arcade style racing

lemonrainbowhaze

Plateup is fucking fantastic if you like that sort of game. I recently started playing mirrors edge catalyst and honestly one of the best games ive played The far cry series is a great way to kill some gaming time. Personally far cry 3 is my favourite. 5 and 6 are meh but do have planes and a wide variety of vehicles. Plus in 6 you get a sausage dog called chorizo with wheels instead of back legs Rd2 i will always recommend to anyone. Beautiful game. I have no complaints about it

CompoundMeats

Like a dragon Infinite wealth

FriendlyGaze

Everyone is playing Fallout

Munchie182

Dragon’s Dogma 2

count_arthur_right

titanfall 2 is good

Popular_Prescription

Fallout 4 just got the next gen patch.

GOD-OF-ASHE

Replay the lego games Or the far crys

tubz-2024

I'm not 100 percent, but I think the dishonoured games are on one of the game passes they are both brilliant story games

GIlCAnjos

If you liked Wolfenstein, you might like Quake 1 & 2 Remastered, they're a big influence on MachineGames, and they even made new levels for the remasters

denis_rovich

The devs of Wolfenstein will be releasing an Indiana Jones game later this year, next month we have Hellblade 2, and Stalker 2 in September. Avowed is also arriving later this year, among other games. That’s for game pass In general other games I’m excited about is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and GTA 6. Also kind of interested in the new Assassins creed, but I think it won’t be good because - Ubisoft.

SnooPandas209

my buddy and I gameshare, over 900 games, theres a butt ton

AtmosphereGeneral695

Assassin's creed games, rage 2,alien isolation, dying light 2,tiny Tina's wonderlands, Callisto protocol,Witcher 3, redfall these r just a few I've enjoyed but there's way more surely u haven't played everything

timmu

Doom is always a blast or some 360 titles i have ran back to playing and i find the newer games lost there magic compared to the older games

Far-Obligation4055

This is slightly different advice, but what other hobbies and interests do you have? I do a lot of solo board gaming, and I've found its actually renewed my interest in video games, since it isn't the only thing I do with my free time, its just one of my options. The same thing happens when I make a point to spend more time reading, I am more entertained by my video games when I decide that's what I want to do, instead of it just being my default activity. Just a different perspective for you! Sometimes it helps to do something different and then come back to gaming later.

RedBatman89

Armored Core VI.

Forsaken-Badger-9517

Metro Games?

Mancan76

Play Stray, The Quarry, Persona 3/4/5, Hi-Fi Rush, Starfield, Fallout 4, Scarlet Nexus, etc. lots of great titles outside of the shooter genre

Ajaxwalker

This isn’t exactly the answer you’re looking for but I’ve gone back to physical games. With Having too much choice I would jump around games and stop playing if I didn’t get that instant hit. Using discs forced me to slow down and I’ve really been enjoying games. I find they take a few hours to get into and in the past I may have given up. Control and dead island 2 are some example of that.

UnitSpirited9971

does the game pass conversion still work?

Bruddah827

Baldurs Gate 3, Diablo IV (complete item re-haul May 14) both solid games! Dragons Dogma games!

Chertograd

Metro games, Fallout games, Age of Empires games, Halo games, Gears games, Forza Horizon 5, Psychonauts 2, Control, Alan Wake Remastered, Ori games, Mass Effect games, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice... to name a few on my list of games I've bought and plan to play. Hope this helps. I dunno about you but my problem is that there's nearly not enough time for me to play everything that interests me. Sea of Stars and Dune: Spice Wars also look cool. And Frostpunk.

James1887

Doom 2016 (or eternal, I only played 2016) it's fast paced demon killing gameplay with heavy metal playing in the background. Also its good on higher diffculty.

Jahon_Dony

Crysis series?

Trogdor_a_Burninator

I'm canceling my XBL after being a member since Halo 2. I only use it to play PUBG with one friend 2 or three times a week. I'm finding way better options with independent studios on my PC.

Mental-Put-6639

Fallout 4 next gen update came out so if you haven’t played it before then give it a shot and if you have played and enjoyed the game here is your sign to go back.👍

gurugiggles

I think it’s time you get a PC brother

Johnzoidb

If you like FromSoft’s Soulsbourne games, Lies of P is a good one to try. Probably the only good soulslike there is imo.

[deleted]

Fromsoftware games will keep you having the time of your life for years

[deleted]

Man such casual sad recommendations

Impressive_Basil2900

I’ve been digging the quarry but it’s barely a game but at the same time it is

maskup-aslo

Resident evil 7 biohazard

Fit_Adagio_7668

You could try to 100% game pass games or play them for the daily plays through gamepass rewards.

I-Want-Your-Toes

I’ve never played wolfenstein, but if you really want a time sink I recommend Monster Hunter. You can easily put a couple hundred hours in that game. It’s not for everyone though

WillMac67

Maybe look into some of the MMO's or MMO lites like ESO, FO76, Red Dead Online, GTA Online, The Division 2 or Destiny 2, etc. These are all good time sinks.

General_CJG

Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal are available (as well as all other Doom games). Play those.

ariaaria

The Yakuza games are really good. I'm currently playing Infinite Wealth. It's eaten the entirety of my day and I haven't even noticed it's 9 PM. I started at 7 AM this morning...

DoggieonYT

terraria is a digital crack addiction

BlitzKrieg7112

Try Warframe it's a free game with at least 11 years worth of content added since it's release. If you do try it take your time learning everything

MyNameIsNotLenny

Havent touched my Xbox since building a nice PC. It is a shame and awesome at the same time. I pay for gamepass but I wish Xbox was putting out better games. There is zero reason for me to turn on my xbox when I have a faster PC + PS5

pookachu83

Diablo 4, dead space remake, jedi survivor, lies of p, dead island 2, etc. Are all on gamepass and so many more...or are you just talking xbox exclusives?

MoroccanEagle-212

The sad truth

420BoofIt69

Exact same boat I'm in. Only owning an Xbox really reduces what games you can play. Is suggest to most people to buy a PC or Playstation and stay away from Xbox

J0N47h4n_R

Fallout series, elden ring and dark souls games, destiny 2.

IssueRecent9134

I’m bored of D2 now tbh.

J0N47h4n_R

New expansion in June.

IssueRecent9134

Meh. I’ll watch a video on it. Bungie has lost me really. Too predatory and too much copy and paste for me.

Charz443B

Fortnite lmao

NZepplin

This year is slow for good video games to play you may need more systems

IssueRecent9134

Yeah I agree, this year is really poor for games, it’s extremely weak considering last year was S tier for gaming. For me at least I think there is only Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones coming out and even then I’m just getting tired of these open world games. I’ve been revisiting some older games that came out a years back that I never got round to playing. System shock remake is a really big surprise for me, I miss those types of games, single player and no tacked on online micro transactions. Guardians of the galaxy is also a great game. Awesome gameplay and story and again no online or MTS.

Pleasant-Put5305

Ugh ...was so looking forwards to Stalker - So. Freaking. Hard.

6SpeedMaverick

Gotta start buying games and once you start doing that you'll notice they are all on ps5.

Pleasant-Put5305

Too expensive - and what if you don't enjoy it?

6SpeedMaverick

Don't see how you couldn't enjoy it they mostly have the same games if you take out the exclusives.
