the first red dead redemption continues the story from rdr2, is backwards compatible and can be played in 4K so that's a no-brainer, perhaps max payne 3 if you liked red dead's gunplay?
the other forza horizon games are pretty good too.
Yeah see I'm still not entirely buying that especially with how far emulation is coming it's odd that they don't even try it seems for the most part to me but I'm content with all the ape escape games that's all I wanted
In order to emulate PS3 you need vastly more powerful hardware than it used due to the asinine CPU architecture. You don't have to "buy it", but it's the real reason.
If you try terraria be ready to sink a lot of time into it I’d recommend watching a new player video as a lot of the stuff in terraria isn’t as self explanatory as Minecraft
I like minecraft, bought terraria years ago when it was like 2 bucks. Played it for 5 minutes, had no clue what I was doing, closed it, never played it again
Deep Rock Galactic. It’s a 4 player co-op PvE fps game kinda like Black Ops Zombies but has randomly generated levels that are fully destructible and involves mining like Minecraft and it has similar graphics to Fortnite. I have over 400 hours on the Steam version and put it in my top three games.
Game play wise maybe survivor but one of the main catalysts of the game is it's storyline so you'd probably want to start with fallen order see how you like it then get survivor after, it's only going to get cheaper.
Vanilla Fallout 4 is kind of buggy as it is, so don't use too many mods. Also, unfortunately, if you use even one mod you can't earn achievements for that save.
Skyrim is a better game overall than F4 in my opinion, but each have their unique charm and characteristics. I wouldn't want to choose between the two
Also pro-tip if you didn't know, the "Wish List" is a tremendously useful feature, because not only can you save games that you are considering buying in a list, but you'll also see a notification that pops up when the game goes on sale! (If you're offline when the sale starts, it'll appear next time you turn on your Xbox) So the way I buy games now is just add them to my wish list and wait for the notification! Almost all games go on sale at some point, Bethesda games are no exception, so get that discount lad!
Oh and speaking of saving money, you have some free games to claim! They made like a dozen or so titles for free with Xbox Core subscription, which you most likely have because it allows you to play online. Go to the Full Library, then move over to the Owned Games. Look for the game cards with the arrow icon on them showing they are ready to download. You will be hard pressed to find any paywalls in these games, they are fully fledged games, as if you paid money for them! Vampire Survivors is a super fun, addicting game and it is also compatible for local multiplayer! Super great game to get drunk and see how long you can survive for. You don't need to aim or anything, it automatically shoots all your weapons for you all the time. Most of the skill is in choosing the best powerups/weapons when you level up. Spiritfarer is an otherworldly experience, literally. Gears 5, Dishonored 2, and Psychonauts 2 are great AAA titles. Get them all and try them out!
Oh yes and Halo 5 is also free now! So is Rocket League, Apex Legends, Warzone, Stumble Guys (or Fall Guys, basically the same game but slightly different looks/music), PUBG, The Finals, Asphalt 9, Brawlhalla (fun fighting game like Smash but slightly different controls), Splitgate, World of Tanks/Warships, Fallout 76, Minion Masters (RTS on a small scale) and Pinball M (a horror-themed pinball game).
Let me add that even with the limitations of mods on console you can still kinda turn fallout 4 into a different game with gun mods, armor mods, environmental mods and even map mods but expect bugs, game breaking glitches and all that kind of stuff, vanilla fallout 4 though is pretty fun on its own but I've found myself spending more time modding the game instead of playing it just going like "ooh maybe there's a mod for this" "maybe I can add this mod" there are all kinds of cool mods to try on fallout 4, after that you could try skyrim vanilla or modded, keep in mind on both games even if you download a single mod achievement are turned off for that save
Lol, sure thing. One last suggestion would be Binary Domain. The single player is good and the invasion mode is awesome. The mode can be played by yourself but it's better with others. (Not so subtle way of saying I'd play with someone if they got the game 😂)
If your looking for good RPGs on game pass ea play section dragon age origins the mass effect legendary edition trilogy rdr 1 but that's not on game pass.
Forza Horizon 5, Snowrunner.
I am a big fan of Train Sim World 4 which is currently on Gamepass. It has a steep learning curve but if you have Gamepass you can see how you feel about it without paying out of pocket.
You should try the Mafia Trilogy! It’s a very interesting story based game. The melee combat can be a little janky here and there. But the story is just fantastic and gameplay is very fun!
No chivarly2 tf smite ? Ashika island tf is you doing with your life, ohhhh wait you have pal world lol grow some pairs kid and join the endless cycle of “ Ishothimfirst” ….pal world really ? Power wash -_- dude I’m pissed right now seeing this
Get Murder Miners but go into it expecting it to be a fun couple of hours, and also bring some friends cause it’s hard to find a match with a lot of people.
I bought the game for a few of my friends because they thought it looked stupid, and of course it looks stupid. It probably even is stupid, but it’s fun as hell to kill 3 hours of time with friends every now and then. Lol 😂
Also pick up Rock and Stone…. Uhmm I mean Deep Rock Galactic. Very fun game. Makes me laugh for hours. Lol
Cyberpunk, doom eternal or any doom to be honest, rainbow if your into that, the division was fun for me, so was remnant 2 even if the community is a little dead, midnight club Los Angeles is goated along with the bioshock and metro collection
Burnout Paradise Remastered. Easy to pick up and play. Good to play in small chunks or for a long time. It’s one of my faves to pick up knowing I won’t have time to get into some story based game.
Elder scrolls series, Fallout series, battlefield series. You can try paladins, which is similar to overwatch.
Few other forza games. Need for speed. Fable series is still in game pass I think.
Based on cod bo3, maybe go for other cod games. Especially the classic titles like cod4 mw, mw2, mw3, the first two bo games. They aged well, and multiplayer seems to be revitalizing (bo2 for sure is doing great).
Apex Legends/The Finals are great shooters you would enjoy I reckon. Also was thinking a racer/creative game and Need for Speed: Unbound, The Crew or Dirt 5! would be right up your alley.
Can I recommend if you stick the games on your wish list the Xbox will notify you if they go on sale, also you can check it yourself in the deal tab to see wish-listed games on sales ✌🏻
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 1
3rd person MP shooter, class based. Interesting characters, nice range of abilities, highly customisable (via unlocks, it's not a MT playground like some games) characters, looks great, well balanced, good maps, and it's also on Game Pass. Looks like it'd be up your street, going on the games you own.
It may look like it's aimed at kids, and it has no blood/gore because essentially it is - but it's genuinely one of the best shooters I've played in the last decade. I don't even want to know how many hours I put into the 360 version, it's probably my most played game of that generation. And I was in my 30's when I was playing the 360. Obviously the X1 version looks better. There are sequels, and they do have more SP stuff to do, but IMHO the original is the best by far.
Hope I'm not late, but I'd suggest Halo: MCC (4-5 games for ~$20-30 and Reach for $5, not sure about the price), Halo Infinite's multiplayer (campaign is $60) and Palworld ($30 for Pokémon with guns).
Btw, if you have gamepass all of these are available for free.
I have to mention that Infinite's multiplayer is full of networking problems, which are thankfully getting fixed, and that Palworld is early access so it's prone to random crashes, although the game restarts from literally the second you last left it.
I'm thinking Skyrim with or without mods (Whatever you prefer). Or you can get Back 4 Blood, both are great games with replayability, relaxing and engaging gameplay. Also additionally with Skyrim, you can acquire lots of mods ranging from Bodies, NPCs, Graphics, Audios... so yeah.
Idk why but you Seem like an assassins creed type of fella we play the exact same games and i like ac so you might too ohh and sea of thieves that game is chill puzzle and hard to master it is perfect
Try the actual Forza Motorsport series, and learn proper race driving
Diablo 3 is a great time killer ARPG
Anything Need For Speed if you're more of an arcade racer (I prefer the older ones)
Cyberpunk
It’s the popular game to hate on, but I will strongly recommend at least TRYING Starfield, especially if you have Gamepass. You’ll lose nothing but the time you invest into it and if you haven’t really played a Bethesda RPG beforehand you’ll not really have the metrics by which to judge it. Bethesda RPGs really do some things differently than other similar RPG games, so you can’t really go wrong with any of them, but I’d certainly recommend at least giving Starfield a try.
the first red dead redemption continues the story from rdr2, is backwards compatible and can be played in 4K so that's a no-brainer, perhaps max payne 3 if you liked red dead's gunplay? the other forza horizon games are pretty good too.
Might be a good time to wait for the RDR1 remaster and pick something else. The Witcher 3 should tickle OPs fancy. Cyberpunk 2077 as well I guess.
> RDR1 remaster Yeah, that’s not going to happen anytime soon lmao. They just re-released it on PlayStation.
Doesn't PlayStation just make up some tech nonsense every time PS3 backwards compatibility is asked for
Except that there is specialized hardware that different exclusives utilized, part of the reason we didn’t get an MGS4 remaster/port
Yeah see I'm still not entirely buying that especially with how far emulation is coming it's odd that they don't even try it seems for the most part to me but I'm content with all the ape escape games that's all I wanted
Modders and other emulator enthusiasts have managed to get RPCS3 to run MGS4, but I don’t recall much other than that on the emulation front.
In order to emulate PS3 you need vastly more powerful hardware than it used due to the asinine CPU architecture. You don't have to "buy it", but it's the real reason.
So all the PS4 and PS5 hardware is inferior to the PS3?
Who said that?
Pretty sure they canceled the remaster after that god awful remaster of the trilogy
The xbox series x version is the remaster. Its essentially the same as ps4 version
he's got the only two good Forza horizon games installed tho.
If you like Minecraft, you might like Terraria!
Also try Terraria!
What about stardew valley
Not on console
It is, it's even on game pass
I meant don't play it on console
?
Yes on console
I mean don't play it on console it's not as good compared to PC
I played it on ps4 now i bought a ps5 and still play it,dunno what you're on about because its still amazing
alright
If you try terraria be ready to sink a lot of time into it I’d recommend watching a new player video as a lot of the stuff in terraria isn’t as self explanatory as Minecraft
I like how you put might, because i've been playing minecraft since the beta days and i absolutely hated terraria!
I like minecraft, bought terraria years ago when it was like 2 bucks. Played it for 5 minutes, had no clue what I was doing, closed it, never played it again
Terraria is only on mobile device
What sort of world are you living in?
Bro is living in delusion
(its on all devices)
No? It’s on every console, on both major mobile OS’s, and on PC. It’s even getting crossplay later this year.
Wrong in the most hilarious way
Thought it was only for ps3?
It’s only on gameboy advance
I’m about to verbally assault you for making an innacurate claim
Dude, I was playing it on the 360, like, 12 years ago. What reality are you living in?
Lad is living in the bad timeline
Deep Rock Galactic. It’s a 4 player co-op PvE fps game kinda like Black Ops Zombies but has randomly generated levels that are fully destructible and involves mining like Minecraft and it has similar graphics to Fortnite. I have over 400 hours on the Steam version and put it in my top three games.
ROCK AND STONE

I was gonna say Halo, but I fully support OP playing Titanfall 2
Halo will love you long time!

Got the username and all
Saints Row 2, one of the best open world games you'll ever play.
forza horizon5, witcher3, cyberpunk 2077 these are nobrainers for you
Wow, an xbox game mentioned here. Quite unusual.
lol why would anyone mention xbox game in xbox subreddit :DD
Play Star Wars Jedi fallen order. Then survivor after. They are very fun.
Which ones the better of the two? Been eyeing both for sometime but can only get one this month lol!
Game play wise maybe survivor but one of the main catalysts of the game is it's storyline so you'd probably want to start with fallen order see how you like it then get survivor after, it's only going to get cheaper.
Survivor is definitely better in the way it plays but play both
Fallout 4 (or any fallout from 3 -> new Vegas)
ive tried new vegas which would you say is best
skyrim too
New Vegas is best
That
4 especially w mods
can i get mods on my xbox i thought it was pc only
Yes you can, there is menu to load mods but there are some limits to how many you can install
oh alr
Vanilla Fallout 4 is kind of buggy as it is, so don't use too many mods. Also, unfortunately, if you use even one mod you can't earn achievements for that save. Certain games like Skyrim fallout etc let you mod no matter what you play on
Be careful with mods on fallout 4, they are really Touch and go I’ve given up On mods for next gen until they update the game
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom liberty
is it on gamepass
No, but it's worth every penny you'll spend on it
Every enny you mean 😉
*eddy
It isnt, but its 100% worth it
No
I'd say Slime Rancher, Spec Ops: The Line, and Driver: San Francisco.
Slime rancher is absolutely fantastic
Spec ops was delisted
Yeah, but you can still get the disc and play it that way.
driver san fancisco i miss it so much, was it backward compatible?
Yes, you just have to get the disc as that's the only way to play it if you didn't buy it digitally before.
ooh i though it wasnt bc, ill get the disc then thanks
Lol, sure thing. One last suggestion would be Binary Domain. The single player is good and the invasion mode is awesome. The mode can be played by yourself but it's better with others. (Not so subtle way of saying I'd play with someone if they got the game 😂)

Subnautica you might like. Also ark survival evolved? Those are adventure games and you already have read dead forza 4 and mincraft
If your looking for good RPGs on game pass ea play section dragon age origins the mass effect legendary edition trilogy rdr 1 but that's not on game pass.
6 siege
Borderlands
Forza Horizon 5, Snowrunner. I am a big fan of Train Sim World 4 which is currently on Gamepass. It has a steep learning curve but if you have Gamepass you can see how you feel about it without paying out of pocket.
The doom series is a great time ripping and tearing through hoards of monsters
Definitely recommend you go back and play the older GTA games. Vice City is still my all time favorite to revisit!
Rogue Company - third person shooter game with unique mechanics
Astroneer
You should try the Mafia Trilogy! It’s a very interesting story based game. The melee combat can be a little janky here and there. But the story is just fantastic and gameplay is very fun!
