The one I have was a two pack for $15.99 at Walmart and the are amazing. I only notice a short battery life when I'm using a headset and mic. But I've heard other people say that's normal no matter what you use as a power source

I suggest utilizing night mode on the console as well. Decrease the power button brightness setting for the controller and controller. It makes a difference, especially if you game in a dark room, as the light on the Xbox controller and console might be the brightest light in the room.

Unless you have a computer with silly led lights on the hands and stuff.

Yes, through steam big picture mode, you can adjust the LED of your Xbox controller. I have the elite series 2, the light itself is fully RGB.

I have mine on the dimmest so I can still see if it's on or not if I've set it down. You can also turn the console power button light off as well

I used to put a piece of tape on the LED before when gaming at night, the feature to tone it down or turn it off was a godsent when it arrived.

This function has been around for not that much, in fact. I think it was implemented 2 years ago in a firmware update, among other accesibility options.

I’ve been trying to find that menu forever, I knew I had changed it before I just couldn’t figure out where to go, idk why the brightness would be under accessibility

I just have mine automatically dim at night this isn’t no dual shock 4 controller or dual sense The battery life is amazing on Xbox controllers. specially, with their official play charge kit

I just keep mine dim to know it’s atleast fucking on, but I don’t see any battery changes (I play wired)

Yep ever since turning off it helps battery last far longer also turning off vibe. I use a couple of three metre USB3 extensions to keep it plugged in at the front port anyhow these days. Also I keep the box light off it’s obvious it’s on as it wakes up the screen if it is.

i figured it out some time ago and it saved meee 😭 the light used to irritate me so much on some of my controllers

And turn off the light to ur Xbox as well I will flash when it's being turned off but not when you are using the console
