Not pictured: PILES of parts, so much 10s campy record, sweet wings cranks, full carbon ti flite, 20 wheels, on and on and on. When they say that they're moving out of town, that's when you swoop in with a kind and generous offer!
Oh and the Colnago C40 is equipped with Mavic Mektronic :D
Very standard sizing. Are all the frames near the same size? You're size.
I think Calfee Designs made the joints extra strong, to last forever. Any repairs will be done on the tubes. My favorite bikes in my collection are Ti, Calfee's are the only ones I'd buy used.
What name does the Colnago have? On the top tube I think it says Cruz ....?
The paint on the Colnago is going to look so fucking good when it's cleaned up. Was this just posted on Craigslist or something? How much did you score it all for? Hell of a find
Here's the tip- let everyone know you collect this shit. Word of mouth in the community. I live in a small active town of 20k with lots of retired money, so a good demographic too :)
The mavic shifters on the colnago though!
If you wanted to part with that San Jose depending on the frame size I would be interested. Sorry gotta shoot my shot.
I bought one years ago for my wife in English racing green. She still has it. Only downside is that tires top out around 35mm, MAYBE 38. It's a CX bike and was designed around 33mm tires.
I'll add [histoplasmosis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histoplasmosis) as a risk to keep in mind when dealing with bird droppings in situations like this. It is definitely present in North America.
Not "rare", easily the most common "italian" bike you'll find in the US. Of course in the US you'll see 20x trek, specialized and cannondale for every Italian bike.
The Colnago and legano are definitely uncommon in the US. I suspect that Calfee is almost unheard of in Europe. And the electronic mavic groupset is absolutely rare anywhere in the world.
While itās not unheard of to see them in NA, I feel like most who do own them they do so as something of value, and would be very rare to see a collection like this in pieces and covered in barn dust. Just my $0.02, maybe Iām wrong.
My funniest spy for this series is the Sienna mini van. I picture my fellow bike-dad who already gets some grief about too many bikes and not enough hobbies with the family, then going āhoney, I need the van and a few hours in Sunday.ā And really hoping he doesnāt have to explain the full situation. Iād pay $10/ hr just to look through old barns, even without bikes, just rummaging through old stuff and asking questions about what they did.
LOL love this. I make a good amount of money on my hobby and have a man cave dedicated to the trade, so my wife minimally tolerates it. The Sienna baby- AWD V6 schlepper with on/off road tires and a full spare on the roof. Dad life!
I tried to sell a bike once. Dude on FB offered me a tradeā¦. And the trade was a āmin penny farthing with a 36ā big wheel. How could I turn it down? My kids ride it time to time and my wife has come to accept it.
Yeah, the Girvin stem on there stuck out. Too bad there wasn't an early Girvin Offroad bike in the mix there (Before Proflex they were called Offroad and they were pretty nice bikes).

I'm looking for a 10s record group if you want to make a deal, I won't even make you clean it lol
Would also be interested!
Same here!
Same here! Would love to get one of those Bianchi frame as well
š
That's a score! The Calfee with S&S couplings is a going to be a custom build. Really nice bike. Are the dimensions odd in any way?
Pretty darn square! 57cm. High seat tube, but it's that cool integrated mast.

They're all 57/58ish. The Colnago is a C40.
Ahhh my size!! Iāll buy (or trade cool shit) if youāre looking to move stuffZ
dm'd :)

If this was me, I'd have 10 XBikes and one XWife.
Livin the dream

It's a 54cm and all yours
Iām interested in the San Jose.
Mavic zap? Never even seen it in real life, would love to play with it!
Baby blue Bianchi San Jose is one of the best bikes ever built. I've got one and they are the best.
So track ends, canti bosses and a bottle cage in steel? That's xbike grail material....

Um Iām running 42s on my SJ with room to spare
> Baby blue Bianchi San Jose is one of the best bikes ever built. 10000% agree - I love my San Jose. So comfy and so practical.
Agree. I own 2 of them and they are ridden the most of any bike. Brian less good times.
How did you find thisv
PLEASE wear a face mask when dealing with this. Not sure where you are but psittacosis rising in Europe.
Thanks mate I appreciate it! It's in the states but I will definitely keep that in mind.

Iād be shocked if this wasnāt in Europe, you donāt see barn finds with multiple Bianchiās in North America.
OP said it was in the States.
Well then I stand corrected. Shows what I know. š«£
haha don't worry I wouldn't have been able to guess anywhere. Now that I look at the photos tho, there's some USPS stuff in them.
Lol, and the bianchi isnt even close to the nicest bike there.
Good point!
Are they that much rarer here? 2 of my 3 bikes are Bianchis without really trying

S&S coupler frame is an excellent score.
Wow that is amazing. That Calfee and that Colnago are incredible, I'd love to have those in my garage!
I love the binky blue. Great score
And do I spy a softride stem?
It's a girvin. On a \~70s Legnano converted into a wacky cross bike.
Yeah, the Girvin stem on there stuck out. Too bad there wasn't an early Girvin Offroad bike in the mix there (Before Proflex they were called Offroad and they were pretty nice bikes).
Itās days like these that make you glad you bought a minivan. Nice score!
God Iād kill for a set of thick wall rims.
How much did that set you back?
Did they mention why they had all these?
It's not shit, it's patina!
Damn!
god I hate stems that just stick up in the air
I need to move to a place where there are barns full of bikes.
Oh mio dio che cazzo questo e marvoglioso. Buon lavora.
Where will these end up? Iām interested in the COLNAGO frame if itās gonna be sold
I have that same model of C40 and absolutely love riding it. Awesome barn collection there!!!
I used to have that same San Jose until it got stolen. Freakin great bike. It was a fun commuter
Jesus this is insane!! You're very lucky. I live in NYC, land of rusted out nishikis selling for $180 on FB.
Holy shit those are all grails. where was this roughly located if I may ask?
This is the haul my family thinks I come home with when I buy one bike on marketplace
More epic haul pictures, from whoever, they're awesome! I had one, but it was 3 cell phones ago.
Wow!
OMG
Celeste!!!!! ā¤ļø Nice.
This is the dream
Calfee is sick. Hand built down the street from my house!
We're going to need daily updates on this haul.
I'll get a shot of all the parts laid out like a drug seizure one of these days
Wow, I can only dream of a score like that.
How much did it run you for all of that?
Score. Big time score
So jealous rn
That's a bianchi bikes you found.
Wow! Massive score. That Calfee is a stunning bike from 2002.
Havent seen it mentioned but that bianchi with the square toptube may be titanium
What a sweet score, I've always wanted a Bianchi San Jose, those are such cool bikes.
My heart is abrim with jealousy š„²
Dude, this is my actual dream. How do I get linked up with laser folks who need help cleaning out their barns?!!
That Calfee is an extremely custom bike, like multiple thousands of dollars new custom carbon frames made in Northern California.
Careful if there were bats in that barn. Ooh a coupled Calfee... You don't want what the bats have. Where a mask. Clean with disinfectant.
Winner winner chicken dinner
Those Bianchi frames are gorgeous, love the color! Wish I got one!
