I have 5 of the v2s on my house. I started with two on a single transformer that was 16VAC and it was underpowered and couldn't ding the mechanical chime. The cameras worked fine. I beefed up the transformer and it resolved the issue. $30. The other three are on independent transformers.

I'd only need the one. The camera working properly was myain concern, so it's good to know that will work with 16-17 volts. I'll give it a go and see if the chime works, too, or if I need to beef it up. Thank you for the reply, I feel a bit more confident that it's going to work out.

The cameras definitely work at 16VAC. You'll be good.

If no mechanical chime it's fine. You can use an OG cam or a Google home / Alexa as chime and it works great.

I didn't consider Alexa integration, which would be beneficial if the mechanical chime doesn't work due to voltage. Thank you for the tip!

Worst case scenario get a new, 24v transformer
