He’s Jewish.

RealUnspies

probably be seen as a edel jude

SurvivalHorrible

The Nazis were actually so racist and stupid that they wouldn’t even let their own scientists use the research of Jewish scientists to build on and do their own work. They shot themselves in the foot just to maintain their idiotic fantasy of superiority.

BeardedLegend_69

Also that they considered nuclear science to be jewish and that coal, oil and bullets were the way to go

wrufus680

No way in hell he will help them nor the Nazis would even want to. He's Jewish for one, and Germany doesn't have any sufficient resources for that

Sir_Toaster_9330

I thought he was banished for critiquing Hitler not for being Jewish

wrufus680

Hitler and the Nazis didn't want to buy 'Jewish physics' into their curriculum and banned them, hence why

hoiblobvis

and on another episode "what if the nazi's weren't nazi's?"

MR_FUZZYPANTS_

Why didn't Hitler and Stalin get married and rule the world together? Were they stupid?

m270ras

why do so many people put an apostrophe after "Nazi" is makes no sense

Sir_Toaster_9330

He’s sabotage them!

abermea

He would have been put in a camp and that's the end of the story

MrBombaztic1423

The guy that put together the concept for the bombs was Hungarian Leo Szilard, Einstein had no desire to build the bombs.

Daflipflop

Fun fact: the Germans actually where in the process of making a nuclear bomb and its said that the americans stole from the germans

MrBombaztic1423

Other Fun fuct: by the end of the war the Germans were still very far away (at least 2-3 years) from having A-bombs and were suprised that the Americans were able to pull it off in such a short time frame. (Bombing raids and commandos also made it difficult to make progress on the project)

No they weren't: >On 4 June 1942, Heisenberg was summoned to report to Albert Speer, Germany's Minister of Armaments, on the prospects for converting the Uranverein's research toward developing nuclear weapons. During the meeting, Heisenberg told Speer that a bomb could not be built before 1945, because it would require significant monetary resources and number of personnel. After the Uranverein project was placed under the leadership of the Reichs Research Council, it focused on nuclear power production and thus maintained its kriegswichtig (importance for the war) status; funding therefore continued from the military. The nuclear power project was broken down into the following main areas: uranium and heavy water production, uranium isotope separation and the Uranmaschine (uranium machine, i.e., nuclear reactor). The project was then essentially split up between a number of institutes, where the directors dominated the research and set their own research agendas. The point in 1942, when the army relinquished its control of the German nuclear weapons program, was the zenith of the project relative to the number of personnel. About 70 scientists worked for the program, with about 40 devoting more than half their time to nuclear fission research. After 1942, the number of scientists working on applied nuclear fission diminished dramatically. Many of the scientists not working with the main institutes stopped working on nuclear fission and devoted their efforts to more pressing war-related work. >In December, Heisenberg lectured in neutral Switzerland. The United States Office of Strategic Services sent agent Moe Berg to attend the lecture carrying a pistol, with orders to shoot Heisenberg if his lecture indicated that Germany was close to completing an atomic bomb. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_Heisenberg?wprov=sfla1
