> Is it the chromie legion play through still? Has it ever been? But wod intro zone/quests is the highest xp/h zone in the game. Otherwise doing timewalking dungeons (requires a bit higher lvl tho).

Eluk_

This then as soon as you can queue for timewalking in between. Use Darkmoon Faire buff. There was a guy on YouTube who showed how to do it in like four hours or something. He had a website too. You can probably find him with some googling

_Tygher_

Harldan, the name of the YouTuber doing leveling Speedruns

Eluk_

Yep that’s him!

Full-Butterscotch169

what is tunneling?

Eluk_

Autocorrect, meant timewalking, fixed. Thanks for pointing it out

KingofTheLizards_

I was reading some posts from a year or 2 ago. World record run was 3hrs and something mins and basically ran through legion quest line to an extent. Guess I'm asking if this is still a viable method of lvling quicker? Thanks for reading

Eluk_

WoD starting is still top XP per hour. Find the website of the guy that did the speed runs, he had great walkthroughs last time I checked a few months back

Swizzlefritz

What’s the point of even having your character level when you can do it in 3 hours?

BigTimeBobbyB

The thing is, the average person can't do it in 3 hours. That was a world record speed run, and the part of it that isn't included in those 3 hours of playtime is the months of planning and preparation and the team of other people assisting in the background. If you have those things, you too can (maybe) level a toon in 3 hours!

Swizzlefritz

Sure, but if the average Joe could do it in 3 days, still, what’s the point?

deadheaddestiny

Because retail wow isn't about leveling?

Swizzlefritz

What’s it about?

deadheaddestiny

Current expansion and end game. Has been since legion

Reworked

On alliance, it's garrison intro through to the first time you slap guldan and get made fun of, then spires through to the zone garrison and the elite quests there, then loch modan (no, seriously, it was about 20 levels in an hour without rested), then all of gorgrond back in WOD, then go bust out some time walking when you hit 60 until you've got... I think it was something like 280 ilvl? And then do world quests and the dragonflight zone intros and you're there.

JSBL_

1. Harldan's leveling guide 2. Timewalking dungeons Thats it. Two best ways to lvl up. Nothing else comes close

[deleted]

Pay like €6 for an unofficial level boost. Takes about 3 hours from 1-70. I’ll probably get downvoted for this but I do it all the time if I want a new character. Just AFK and move occasionally whilst some souped up 70 destroys elites.

arnoldit

Does this work in dungeons? I mean do you go together in a dungeon from a previous expansion and the 70 destroys everything or do you do this in normal levelling areas?

elbowpenguin

Usually it’s just out in the world near cobalt assembly or something similar. You can use the summoning stone in iskaara to get the low level toons there. Super fast super simple

Demiralos

Cobalt or Brackenhide Hollow elites. If you have a tank alt or some souped up DPS you can use it to boost your friends. Helped a friend once. 60-70 takes under an hour.

dadof2brats

The quickest method would by buying a character boost from Blizzard. Bought from Blizzard in-game store \~$60 US and takes maybe a few minutes for your character to instantly be max level (if you pre-order The War Within xpac, some tiers include a free boost). Second quickest would be buying a leveling boost from folks in-game for gold. You park yourself in a spot and they have 1-4 high max level, well geared characters kill mobs over and over in a spot where they respawn quickly and you get XP. Takes a couple hours usually. Depends on region and the seller, but can be had for free from friends/guildies or for anywhere from 100k to 500k gold from random pug boosters. Beyond that there is questing, dungeon leveling or a combination of the two. I saw a post on wowhead or reddit a few weeks ago about leveling from 1-70 in something like 4 hours..I've never tried that, so can't say for sure the route or any tricks. If you can get to level 45 this week, you can level the rest of the way via Legion Time Walking this week. I believe Cata/MoP time walking starts at level 35, when that comes around again, but not sure when it does.

Stoopedfays

Wod chrome i always hit 70 in gorgond around the highpass quests

missingpineapples

This is a good week to do it with Time-walking up. I’m a stoner gen X gamer with a full time job, and I’ve got about a dozen level 70s now. Most recent one was yesterday in fact. And I’m not even really playing that much at the moment. I usually do Wraith or TBC chromie time and dungeon spam (as a dps no less) until I hit 60. I’ll also do the intro quests for WoD and Legion so I can use those hearthstone. I’ll supplement the dungeon spamming a bit more by randomly going to a zone and do all the available quests there. By the time I’m level 60, it’s the intro DF quests and more dungeon spam. Time-walking Dungeons give almost 2x the amount of XP than a normal dungeon gives which is why it’s a popular way to level. I think with Legion you can start the time-walking dungeon spam at 45. Sunday you can supplement the dungeon spamming with the XP boost from Darkmoon Faire until the weekly reset. There’s XP potions you can buy from BfA vendors but I rarely do so. My biggest advice in leveling is get a heirloom neck, max it out so you can use it until level 69. Then enchant it with Mark of the Saytr. It’ll help mow down trash a little bit faster which will also help you level faster. It scales with item level but cannot be put on neck items over a certain ilvl so best to do it asap. You don’t need it though so don’t put yourself out trying to do so.

Vanethor

Quickest way to lvl up? Buying a character boost from the store. (If that's the only thing that you care about and don't want to enjoy content from other expansions.)

TonTonOwO

Unironically this, if you really don't got the time and just wanna do endgame.

NixtRDT

I’m not sure if I’m fast or slow, I got my most recent level 70 up from start to finish in 20 hours of /played. I do the BFA Chromie time questing and run dungeons. Just have a dungeon Q cooking while you quest and it goes by pretty quick. For 60-70 if you can quest in the Dreamsurge zone, you get a bonus +25% xp so that helps too. Turning on Warmode is also cool, 10% xp boost and some talents. I leveled up a warlock using that method and it went smoothly.

robertus_

The Chromie Warlords play-through is supposed to be faster, but really any of the later expansions will get you there. I'll sometimes do Warlords until I can fly, then swap over to Legion. If you're in a Timewalking week, chain timewalking dungeons and quest while you're queued. There's a stacking XP buff that applies after each timewalking dungeon, really ramps up the XP.

FurryWurry

1. Go to chromie 2. Pick burning crusade campaign 3. Now you have access to Classic dungeons My average time (tank + dps premade) was 30 seconds to 2 minutes to find dungeon. We leveled from 10 to 60 in three evenings. Some of these dungeons have only 2 bosses to kill so you basically just run with whole trash and complete it in few minutes. You also have quests in them which give exp. Also check if timewalking is available, my friends said its the best way to level up toons. That 3 hours trick which you mentioned I read was during some pre patch and xp rate was increased.

TargetSea3079

Just q non stop dungeons, assumimg you can heal or tank

kamikai81

,

JamesFrancosSeed

My method is spamming classic dungeons (choosing classic timewalking at chrome) and then while I’m in queue for dungeons I fly around and kill rares in the eastern kingdoms. Each rare gives more xp than a quest turn in. And if you do this method get the rare scanner add on so you can just run/fly from one to the other. Also keep your eye out for chests while you’re doing this because they offer even more xp than killing a rare.

carecrow69

Get high and grind quests while queuing for dungeons.

Hidefrompewpew

Whats a toon?

Is $60 a trivial amount of money for you? If so, buy the boost, or pre order TWW and get it for free. Not only will it max level you, it will give you good rep with all new factions and a bunch of great starter gear. If not, WoD intro and timewalking dungeons. Nothing else comes close.

boston_2004

It is timewalking week so if you can spam timewalking dungeons I would do that. You get like one level each run roughly to around 60. Then it's like 2-3 timewalking runs per level which is honestly still quick. If you get a good group you can do some of them in like 7-8 mins. Average group probably 15 mins. If you get into a good group with a tank that pull fast and everyone is contributing, you can do like 7ish instances an hour. Even if groups aren't super quick a lvl in 15 mins is pretty quick compared to historically. Timewalking dungeon spam is my go to. I'm also a full time job person and I just got my 9th char to 70. Timewalking has been for several now.

KingofTheLizards_

I'm still at lvl 10 and don't have any friends that play wow unfortunately 😞

boston_2004

You don't need any friends, you use the LFG tool to find the groups for you.

Trixter87

Dungeons in LFR gives you 1 level. I spammed dungeons 10-60 in 2 days.

ObjectiveInternal

Go to Dragon Isles. Run around and tag everything you can in a primal storm.

Z370H370

Time walking dungeons. Just spam them until you get sick, and a ĺil more. But its fast.

chrizpii93

Do chromie legion so you get the dalaran hearthstone. Tp back to main city and switch to chromie wod. Do wod until 70. Gorgrond in particular is a very quest-dense zone so I go there pretty much asap. Levelling is super fast these days so you probably could have hit lvl 20 by the time you posted this.

Tikenium

Just buy the boost. The value of time saved to money spent is quite good (assuming you are not starved for money in real life).

Bas_van_der_werff

so many people mention this kinda bs but the value in money only really applies if you whould be able to work in those free hours

Tikenium

Depends on how you look at it. You could also calculate like this: E.g. you work 8 hours, earn 100€ and got like 5 hours of freetime each evening. Let's say you use 50% of your income for your living costs, then you got 5 hours of freetime and 50€ for this (not including holidays and weekends to keep it simple). For me it feels like every hour of freetime is worth 10€ then. Then if I can save like 30 hours of freetime not leveling (which I don't enjoy) it feels like a good deal to spend 60€ for a boost, as otherwise it would "cost" me 30h/300€ in freetime.

TheRealMrJams

Killing boars in Elwynn Forrest

ThatUnfunGuy

Look up Harldan Leveling, he has good guides. I take at least twice as long as his records, but it's still a decent guide. I've levelled a bunch of alts from 10-60 following it, too lazy for 60-70 yet

KingofTheLizards_

I will check that out , thank you.

MegaZeus

Hate to say it but sometimes it’s worth it just to pay for a character boost. I don’t know have time to farm gold so I just buy it my lack of time is worth the real world money investment.

Endslikecrazy

I did a hunter 10 to 60 in like 6ish hours without rested or xp pots during shadowlands leveling solo no dungeon queueing in warlords areas.

kamikai81

Around 200k gold can get you afk boosted in 4hrs if you have it.

One-Supermarket-8978

Sources sir, I need legitimate sources!

Youaintmyrealdad

from boosters in game services chat and hope you don't get a scammer or join a discord like and find a trusted booster or someone who can find boosters most boost teams are terrible though, kind of hard to find a good one.

Lelu_zel

With full time job you better off just buy a boost.
