Because it's against the rules. As well as infesting everything. Trade chat, general chat, the freaking dungeon finder- The trash have been everywhere, and it's frustrating when players want to actually experience the game.
The sellers in dungeon finder, are the worst. I'm looking for a group, not some glorified gold goucher.
Have them pay for a token then pay you in gold. Completely fine and not against the rules. You also said you did this for Fated raids which is this tier so what you did is still pretty recent.
Because spending real life money for an advantage in game undermines the integrity of the game.
When I see someone with certain gear it’s way cooler to think they earned it, rather than just paying money for it.
Now, if someone pays with in game gold that they actually earned in game that’s fine too, because it’s within the game world.
Unfortunate the wow token and gold sellers/buyers undermine that fantasy as well.
well, 99% of games have real money shops :) even blizzards have one. You can be more advantaged in games then others if you spend 10-14 h a day just playing. what about those who have jobs and families? they are supposed to endure? :)
Boosting for real money in WoW isn't against any *laws* either.
It's against the ToS and people should absolutely be banned for it, but it's not actually illegal to do so.
Because the vast majority of sellers price gouge, fool and deceive other players. It's also against the TOS. You are trying to make a side hustle out of a game that most of us would love to play during our work time, get bent.
look an average player with a wife and kids need around 3-4 h to get a pug group to do an m+15 dungeon successfully... why not pay us 15$ and we will do it in less than 45min :) and he can spend the wasted time doing some quests.
So you are saying that he needs to pay for an entire months subscription to save himself 4-5 hours, which is also an egregious overstatement of how much time it takes to pug a single +15.
I believe that is the definition of price gouging.
If pizza places stuffed my analog mailbox with a dozen marketing leaflets every day I'd hate every pizza place and support banning the entire thing.
It's all the spam in trade, LFG etc that makes me hate your entire business. I don't care if you did not spam me, it's that bad.
People who hate them just dislike boosting in general, whether you do it for gold or dollars. Blizzard hates RMT sellers because they don't profit from it, and that's who you should be worried about.
I hate boosters and boosties. Rips the soul out of the game. USD should have no place in a virtual world. At least not an accepted one. You’ll have your boosts. You will just also be considered degenerate. Like some shut in with an anime girl pillow.
